The 4 item lunch menu isn't but .25 cents cheaper than the regular menu for the same 4 items which doesn't make sense to me because the portions were small and other Mexican restaurants in the same area are more reasonable Priced with bigger portions. Great place with a very friendly staff. Salsa doesn't have chunks in it but has never been soupy until you get to the bottom which they give you a refill. My only complaint is that there is one waitress who is so rude and gives no energy everyone else is kind and happy. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Great food, good service, reasonably priced. The owners, Victor and Vanessa, go out of their way to create a friendly family environment. My wife was dealing with cancer recently and was on a special diet and Victor went above and beyond to prepare her food within the dietary restrictions. Zulema and the rest of the servers doing an excellent job taking care of you. Los Mayas also has a drive up window that we have utilized many times during the pandemic. read more

The wife and I have enjoyed Tex-Mex/ Mexican food from central Mexico and into Canada. We have lived in Texas from El Paso, west Texas, and Dallas. We are full timers in our motor coach and have over 100000 miles covering 49 states and most of Canada. Have not found a real good Mexican restaurant in Canada. We had cheese enchiladas and beef chili rellenos here at this restaurant. Both was what appeared to be prepared by someone reading from a recipe book and not knowing what the product should look like and most importantly taste like. So bad that will not give them a second try. Same for their fresh table sauce. We enjoy a few Mexican restaurants in and around Montgomery, but sorry to say, none in Wetumpka. read more

This is a very good establishment to come and have lunch at. I went here on one of my days off after a dental appointment to have a quick bite to eat and threow back a cold one. The staff is very friendly and the only disappointment I had was with the Salsa they served with the chips before the meal. It was almost like a liquid soup. No chunks of anything were in it and I am not a fan of Chunkless Salsa. Once I got past this, I was able to enjoy the food I ordered. I had several items which were all reasonable priced. Very upsetting when I received my bill. It totaled over $33. When I added up the items it was $22. The cashier said something in Spanish to the waiter who shrugged his shoulders. This is our (with my wife Pamela) favorite place to eat. We are slowly eating through the different categories. I had the burrito with beef, chicken, and shrimp. It was covered pico de gallo and cheese sauce. Usually when you get beef it is ground beef. No, no, no! This is pieces of grilled skirt steak. The steak was tender, the shrimp was cooked perfectly, and the chicken was juicy. Also in the burrito was refried beans, grilled peppers and onions. My wife had the half order of beef, beans, and cheese burrito. Once again, not ground beef but a generous helping of small pieces of skirt steak. Totally delicious. When you sit down someone brings a basket of hot, colorful, salted chips and a bowl of fresh salsa. We had a small bowl of cheese dip. Not too thick or thin. I have previously had the shrimp nachos. Superb!! A full order of nachos is enough for two people. The staff is cordial and attentive. They have a unique red sauce which Is not too spicy. read more
