THE BEST MEXICAN IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY!!! We got pollo loco, and also steak street tacos, absolutely amazing! Even the chips and salsa were outstanding!

The veggie fajitas were great! Service was great & the drinks were great. The frozen margarita had a very strong lime flavor so I got the margarita on the rocks and it was AWESOME! I've never had a margarita that strong before. I will definitely be back for another margarita!

Decided to go to this restaurant off of the 4star rating they have. I wish we hadn't the food and management was horrible but our waiter was great. Let's start with the stale chips not one basket but two baskets were stale. The food was BLAND (mexican food is usually flavorful). I think they were day old chips. We had to add salt and pepper for a little flavor ( I'm not a salter). The Texas Fajitas had no taste to it even with onions and bell peppers in it. The cheese dip was even BLAND (how can you mess up cheese dip). My taco salad was the size of an appetizer plate but I was charged a full price. The quantity of food on the inside was the issue. It was barely any meat and I ordered the chicken and steak. I understand it's a salad BUT where was the meat. I didn't complain about it or the food until we were leaving. As we are getting up to leave our waiter bring out five taco salad to the table next to ours and they are Ginormous and filled to the top. As I got to the waiting area, I asked to speak to a Manager. The manager came out and I express my issue to him. He insisted that my taco salad was the same size as the other customers. He even went as far as bringing out two taco salad shells to prove his point. The taco shells he brought out was not the same size, both were different. BUT still BIGGER than mine. He ask me what would I like for him to do about the issue. I said what can you do for me about the issue? His words to me was, "I'm too busy for this, I will give you your money back and don't ever come back. My party and I just looked at each other in surprise that he would say something like this to a customer. I got my money back and definitely WILL NOT be back.

went here on 2/11 and ordered a chicken quesadilla and this is what it looked like. smelled exactly like cat food. wouldn't dare bother tasting it. my friend ordered chicken tacos with grilled chicken and it was old, overcooked chopped chicken pieces. i've eaten some unpleasant food before but it's never been bad enough to make me write a review.

Cheese enchiladas with rice and beans

After reading reviews for this place my wife and I were a little nervous in trying it but glad we did. We're both Hispanic Texas girls I'm from San Antonio and she's from El Paso so "WE" definitely know good Mexican food!!! First off I have to say that being away from home for over a year, walking into this restaurant and the having the waiter hold a conversation in Spanish with us took me back home. After being seated we were immediately brought chips and salsa and to my surprise the salsa was actually delicious. I had a sweet tea and my gosh it was so good another thing Mexican places are known for back home. Getting down to food I had cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. The rice and beans were really good and the enchiladas were decent. They weren't the best I've had but were okay. My wife had the beef tacos and a flauta, they were both alright as well. The only real disappointment was that the tortillas were store bought and from a package which can be expected but still a disappointment. They weren't as authentic or homemade as we were hoping for. Overall it was a really pleasant experience and we would go back.

Came here on a Saturday night. They were not busy whatsoever (which should have been a warning). The service was fine. They have this giant fountain in the middle of the dining room which wasn't running and made it seem out of place. The salsa wasn't really anything too special and the chips were cold. The queso was good but yet again nothing special. We got a pitcher of margaritas to share. They were very standard and a bit sour for my taste. I ordered the three enchiladas for my entree which was supposed to come with a guacamole salad. They told me they were out of guacamole (keep in mind this is a Saturday night). I don't think any reputable Mexican restaurant would run out of guacamole on a Saturday night. It is a component of so many of their dishes. I got one cheese and two chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. The rice and beans were standard. The chicken enchiladas had nothing in them but chicken (no cheese) which left them dry and flavorless. I have had much better enchiladas many other places. It's my opinion that you should go somewhere else if you want good Mexican food.

    Meh

The food that was delivered to the table was meh. I ordered Tamales (that's plural) and was delivered one which was cold in the center and I couldn't eat it. I ordered a guacamole taco which stayed it was deep fried. It was fried and was just a taco shell with some nasty, liquid guacamole sauce and some cheese. I also ordered a quesadilla that the menu stated would come with onions. Guess what? No onions. The best part of the meal was the margarita. I vote with my dollars and I won't be voting for Jalapenos again. I should have just stayed home and opened a can of Hormel tamales. I would have been happier and it would have been a better value. Oh, did I mention that the server only came back to the table to bring the check and, never once, came by to see if the food was acceptable. There are much better, and, authentic Mexican restaurants in Montgomery. I suggest that you seek out somewhere other than Jalapenos.

Good and beefy. I enjoyed my Taco Burrito Enchilada combo but it needed salt (no salt shaker on our table). The others in my group were less than impressed. Salt may not have helped. This restaurant is going on the slow rotation... we'll visit in another thirteen years. We did get the BOGO Wednesday combo special. Good service too. Lots of toddlers (I guess they like Mexican food).

I wasn't pleased with my visit. My food was cold and my waiter was not attentive. I didn't feel welcomed at all. I won't be returning.

Good service, but "okay" food. Sloppy mexican that was mostly cooked the day before. Decent margaritas. Won't be going back.

Food is pretty consistently good. Service is fast and friendly. Decor needs to be updated and the restaurant needs to be kept cleaner.

It has a very open dining room and accent lights along the walls. We had a young man named Jackson as our server. He seemed a bit timid but provided great service. He made suggestions on dishes and made sure we had what we needed as the meal progressed. My friend, who has frequented this place before stated that their menus were new. I have included photos of the food menus. For me, they weren't very user friendly or organized well. Either way, we figured it out. The dishes were generous in portions and very very delicious! I had the meal #44 which is the Naked Pablano Pepper which I got with chicken. My friend took Jackson's recommendation of the #32 which is the Plato de Carnitas. Great experience. Would definitely come back!

It's a strip mall with two large open rooms that could fit a large crowd if needed. At first glance at the menu some items were a little pricy but it was lunch time so we were able to order from the lunch section that had some good deals. Apps were great! Good Salsa, guacamole, queso but chips were on point! Not too thin or thick, held up to the dips and tasted great. Hubby got a steak burrito similar to a fajita style burrito. It was tasty. One son and I ordered different items from the lunch pick 4 for $12.95. The shredded beef quesadillas, shredded chicken Flauta, beef tostada, chicken tamale and Chile Relleno were are favorites and the burrito and rice were tasty too. Our other son order shrimp enchiladas and there were 3 small shrimp in each of the two enchilada. He said it tasted good but needed more especially for the price. It appeared seafood was over priced and minimal per serving. We look forward to visiting this place again when be travel to Montgomery!

My waiter was incredibly friendly and helpful. He took the time to help me decide what to order and provided excellent service throughout the meal. The service was top-notch.
