I'm not a big fan of Mexican, but my husband is. He loves it! I agreed to eating Mexican food once a month on our Saturday "Date Night"s. I was okay with Cheese Enchiladas, so I always ordered those. The first time we ate at San Marcos, he urged me to try a little guacamole taco with my Enchiladas. I did, and was very pleasantly surprised with ALL of the food there. Their Cheese Enchiladas were much better than they had been at any other Mexican Restaurant, and every single other entrée I tried was very good as well! The Service was Always excellent. We never had to wait forever, nor were we rushed into ordering. No matter how busy they are, they take good care of their patrons. Many other Mexican Restaurants look nice and fancy with outside and inside decor. Not quite as much at San Marcos. The MOST important thing about a restaurant, is the quality of their food, and their service. San Marcos beat out every other one, in my opinion!! read more

Stopped at this location to have a drink and was discriminated against. The mere fact a MEXICAN waitress had the audacity to ask if I could afford my drink was an insult! The person that accompanied me was in disbelief when I conveyed the poor decorum of the "waitress!" I deliberately called her attention to my empty glass and asked for another drink and purposely said "I think I can afford a second" to prove that I I couldn't make this up! She chuckled and said "the price of drink is why we ask!" How presumptuous and not to mention humiliating!? To patronize me with this assumption was baffling. I will NEVER step foot in this location again spending my hard earned money to be insulted because of my race. That was the epitome of racism! Absolutely unwarranted. I wouldn't have stopped to have a drink if I couldn't afford to. For shits and giggles a second was ordered to prove that " this isn't that!" IF indeed this is a question asked to ALL guest that order a patron margarita, find a more suitable professional way to see if they are capable to pay. And for the sake of retention exhibit the customer service one should with a $30 small patron margarita. read more

We eat at San Marcos once a week, or once every two weeks. We always order the pollo loco and cheese dip and margarita. Service is fine even though they are busy most nights. Thursday night is margarita night and Thursday or Friday are the busiest nights so come prepared to wait a little longer. read more

The family and I always enjoy dining at San Marcos and typically have dinner there after an athletic event at Macon East Academy. The staff is always very friendly. This restaurant is in a great location and has outdoor seating with a beautiful pond. I joined two of my friends about 45 minutes after they arrived and already placed their ordered. I asked the waiter how much the margaritas were, he said $2.75. So I ordered a margarita. The waiter never gave me a menu, asked what I wanted to eat, and only came to the table twice. When we asked for our tickets I was charged $6.49 for the margarita while my friends were charged $2.75. When I asked the waiter about it he said since I didn't order any food I had to pay $6.49. I said but the special is $2.75 every Thursday 5pm-9pm. He threatened to call the police if I didn't pay. I asked to speak to the manager and explained the same thing to her. She said I had to pay $6.49 since I didn't order anything and also threatened to call the police. Literally the worst customer service I've ever received my whole life. If you look at the picture I posted, which is on the outside of the restaurant, it clearly reads "house margarita every Thursday 2.75 on the rocks or frozen 5pm-9pm." It does not mention anything about buying a meal. I will never return and I don't recommend it to anyone else. read more

I was disappointed tonight. The table guacamole wasn't edible. It had to many onions and tomatoes. I could not taste the avocado unfortunately. My chimichanga was excellent and the chicken quesadilla was very good. The service was lacking and inattentive although she was pleasant. I might try it one more time. read more

Great place for your usual Mexican fare. Everything is seasoned well and cooked just right. A lot of places skip on seasoning their chicken, but not San Marcos. The quesadilla was flavorful and delicious. read more

Too bad the service was atrocious because the food was pretty good. Luckily Sol just moved in next door. After our waitress brought us the food we didn't see her again...so I got the hostess & the hostess got her. But instead of coming over to us the server & hostess stood there and looked at us talking for like 3 minutes. Then when we left they were at the front & when they saw us walk up they scattered. Although I've enjoyed SM on Burbank for several years, her sister location in Pike Road has not been the case. Just last week I was there to pick up dinner and was charged a different price from that of the menu online. When I brought it to the cashier's attention she just apologized and said she would let "them" know about it. Today I decided to give it another try and dine in for lunch. This too was an unwise decision! As I started eating my food, I noticed something crawling towards through me from my peripheral view. As I looked to my right there was a lizard beside me. I jumped up from the table and showed it to the waitress and her response was "I see it". After I explained to her that I wasn't going to eat with lizards, she handed me my bill anyway. I also brought this to the attention of the cashier and sadly he was just as callous as she was. He proceeded to charge me for the chips & salsa as well as the drink that I left on the table after this surprise visit from the lizard. I am very disappointed at the poor level of customer service at the Vaughn Road location in Pike Road and I will no longer patronize this restaurant. read more

I love San Marcos so much. There are lots of choices for food and the price isn't that I like to eat I like to eat off the lunch menu. It is not crowed so there isn't ever a wait unless there was just a high school football game or something. Very nice environment and I would recommend this if you are near it. read more
