Ordered takeout and had to wait nearly an hour for a burger. Worried my other food might be cold because I had to wait on the burger. They were nice and gave my a larger drink for free. My husband and I came here for his Father's day lunch, and he left not happy at all and feeling like the waiter was insinuating that he was lying. He used his Chili's app that HAD 100 points on it and was going to get a free dessert but somehow when trying to use it, it deleted his 100 points and the dessert we had to pay for. The manager told the waiter what to do but apparently it didn't work, and he said IF the app was suppose to give him a free dessert he didn't know why it didn't go through. My husband got fed up because our points were deleted even though it didn't work and said we'd pay for it so we did and left. The food was good except for my broccoli which was raw but warm, not steamed at all. Trying to decide if we ever want to go back again or not. read more

Probably the worst experience I've had this Chili's ever. No organization of the host to Syria people were just coming in and getting sued by waitresses. Then had to put their name in. Then we did get seated after 20 minutes we had asked the hostess if there was a waitress or waiter that was covering the table because nobody had been by at all. When we finally did you get the order, was about 25 to 30 minutes after we had been seated. The food came out in about 1520 minutes later order to sell this one chicken one hamburger and the kids macaroni. Food was warm was not fresh. Waited over 50 minutes and no one has taken our order. Other people waiting over an hour to get food. Asked for manager, and it took another 10 minutes to get her. Group behind us had cold food. We just got back from chili's.. And there was a wait of 45mins to get in, but we got in little less than 15m which is awesome. The food was good, and fair. I tried the hottest thing on the menu and it really wasn't spicy, and theres no peppers beside food items on there menu.... so idk what I want.(please fix this for spicy lovers).... But the thing that got me is they had ipads on tables, and I was just tinkering with it, but they charged me for games... like 2.59$ (which I was just skimmiging through when sitting waiting for food......... but I had no window with no terms an agreement for touching it.) I get paying for atmosphere but THEY mean it apparently.... chillis let me down for a slipped fee...... and menu items, other than that its fair. read more

Sweet and Spicy!!! I love the new sweet and spicy tenders! They are addicting! Top that off with corn on the cob with a touch of the salt and pepper and fries to go with. YUM!!! The staff is always great, and they treat you with respect each and every time. I always see a manager walking around to see if the staff is doing their job and shaking hands of customers as well. What a great place! ... Make sure you arrive before the crowd does and you are good to go! They are in the "Hot spot" of town for customers, be patient people!!! read more

When you think of chili, you think "hot" is always better. Right? Well, Chili's in McDonough, GA is HOT! It is a great place to eat. The food is always good and the service is excellent. We even have our own favorite server. They have a wonderful menu variety. They even have the ability to cater to those picky eaters or devout dieters, without a blink of the eye. Try it. You'll see for yourself. The only bad thing you might say is the lines are long for people breaking down the doors to get in. The service was terrible. We waited 30 minutes and no one took our drink orders or even checked on us. It wasn't busy so I asked the hostess about the waitress and she made the call and still no waitress. When she finally came to bring us forks and saw us leaving, there were no apologies just a shrug and she kept walking. This was our favorite place until last nite. We knew it would be busy it was a Sat nite. We put our name on the waiting list online, so when we arrived we were 2nd on the list. 30 minutes later and 5 large parties being seated I asked the hostess what was the problem. She said we texted you 7 minutes ago, really I'm seating right next to you. I can't hear my phone with all the noise in here. We get a table, great server but I can't hear her for the stereo blaring all the TV's on and everyone trying to talk over everyone else. Get our meal chicken tacos & chicken enchiladas, the chicken was grisly, picked through it. It will be a very long time before we ever go back to Chili's in McDonough. It's your standard Chili's. Pulled in on a Friday night at 6pm - had a thirty minute wait for a table for three. When we got in our waiter was right on it - had some drinks and an app order immediately. Got that part out very quickly. Both my husband and I had the black bean burger off the Guiltless Grill Menu (they'll let you sub out any other side for the steamed veggies if it isn't your thing) I declined any of the normal toppings on mine and just asked to add cheese as did the man. Our daughter got the Mac and Cheese, which sadly was only a buck less then our entree's. When the meals came out the burgers were exactly as ordered, but oddly the fries my husband had substituted for the veggies also were smothered in cheese - the waiter apologized, didn't offer to fix it (apparently knowing that the man LOVES cheese) and we all carried on. No extra charge for the random cheese. Overall the burgers were good, a little spicy but right. Nothing compared to a veggie burger at Vortex up in Atlanta, but we're talking Chili's here. The only odd thing about the whole experience was that the waiter brought the bill with the entree's. A habit I REALLY dislike. For only $28 before tip not too bad. read more

Chili's has never been my favorite restaurant but my mother had a Chili's gift card that she wanted to use. So we came to this Chili's today. I ordered the margarita chicken. The chicken was rubbery and did not taste fresh. The beans were horrible. I've ordered this dish before and it was decent but this time I had to send it back. I now hate sending meals back because you just don't know what you will get in place of it. But I could not eat this at all. I ordered the baby back ribs and these were dry and overcooked with very little meat on it and it was plastered with BBQ sauce (and I hope nothing else). The appetizers were decent. Chili's is a place to get drinks and appetizers. Don't expect a decent meal. The waitress and hostess were very nice but that's it. I don't think I will return. read more

It's not like I expect some high end meal and top end service at Chilis, but I do expect prompt, attentive service and decent, hot food served in a reasonable time frame. The place was relatively slow at lunchtime but our waitress was completely oblivious that drinks were empty (admittedly a huge pet peeve of mine) and that our food (2 lunch sandwiches and an appetizer) was taking a really REALLY long time to come out. When it did, my burger was way over cooked and there were literally 11 room temperature French fries on the plate (I'm serious). My wife's BLT looked like it came from a gas station and if I looked hard enough I could make out the 2 tiny pieces of bacon on it. She did, however, have a few more of the not so hot fries, so she had that going for her. Anyway, this used to be a place we would come and get the 2 for $20 dinner deal because it was decent and a change of pace but the last couple of times it's been bad and I think we are done going. We will spend our time and money elsewhere. read more

Horrible service. Server walked past our table numerous times when our drinks were empty and plates stacked from our app. Asked for mayo for our burgers and didn't come back with it until the end of our meal. Our appetizer was fried pickles but there was just more fried batter than pickles. As a previous server at 3 dollar cafe, this is not at all how customers should be treated. My manager would've handed me my own tail. I understand things get hectic if it's busy, but the place was almost empty. There is absolutely no reason for the experience we had eating here. read more

I just had my first Chili's to go experience and it was horrible. I placed an order for pick up and I selected the option for bringing the food to my car. I completed the information for make, model, and color of my car. I parked in the spot designated to go orders. After waiting in my car for 16 minutes, I went inside to check on my order. Of course it was ready, and it was no longer hot. At best, it was room temperature. The only response I got from the employee was that they don't do curbside at that location, and they couldn't help it that the website allowed me to select curbside. Although the receipt order type clearly states curbside. No apologies from the staff. Horrible customer service. Horrible experience. Very frustrated I paid $24 for a cold lunch and horrible service. read more

Usually when we come here, we have a good experience. This used to be one of our favorite places to go eat. This time was the complete opposite. We ordered some chips for an appetizer like usual, the chips were stale. We opened our silverware, one of the knives was clearly dirty, we rubbed it with a napkin and the napkin turned black where we rubbed it. My knife had a food particle stuck to it. I love the service I receive at this location, and the selection is incredible. Chilli's is my favorite restaurant, and the selection is great. I don't go out to eat very often but when I do, this is my first choice. There is something for everyone in my family. Don't get me started on the desserts...yummy! On May 5, we went for lunch at McDonough, GA location. We sat for over 10 minutes with no one coming to take our order. We noticed several other tables with no food or service. The Greeter finally came by, looked surprised to see we had not been waited on, and promised to get a server. Another 10 minutes and no one appeared, although we saw servers chatting in the kitchen and standing around. We finally left! We have always enjoyed Chili's, but this location was really terrible! Do not like being ignored! Won't go there again! Customer service needs some serious work! read more

Maybe b/c i am African American and the folks at this Chilis of Mcdonough do not appreciate us. I was just there with family on June 1 and was not greeted with a smile. Hostess couldn't even tell us a good wait time. We finally got seated. After being seated for 10-15 minutes without bing acknowledge, I had to flag down the waiter that works that area which was white. The other waitress in that area had looked at me 3 times as though I was invisible. It took about 10 - 15 more minutes to get water! We finally placed our order. As we waited for our food to arrive, we noticed 2 other families as we were there about an hour.We saw a vacant tables become occoupied with 2 white families, the wait staff promply took there order and food arrive shortly after. So we got up and left. We spoke to another black family that was there as they were experiencing the same problem. SHAME ON YOU CHILIS OF MCDOUNOUGH IT SHOWS THAT YOU STILL HAVE A LONG WAYS TO GO!! We decided to stop in and eat because everything else around had a long wait. There weren't many cars in the parking lot, so we gave it a go. When we got inside, there were a lot of people waiting, but there were 12 empty, dirty tables waiting to be cleaned. There was an older lady working as hostess. She took our name and said it would not be long for 2 people. I checked the Chili's app to see where we were in line, and people were seated as she and another kitchen staff worker SLOWLY cleaned the dirty tables (like taking 1 cup to the back at a time slow). While waiting, I noticed that there were several clean tables in the bar (there were 4-5 dirty ones, there, too), so I asked the bartender if we had to wait to be seated in the lounge, or could we just have a seat. He said, no we had to wait. Every other Chili's I frequent allows you to have a seat where ever is available in the lounge. The bar was also dirty where he had not cleaned up after customers. My mom also noticed him having to look up directions for how to make drinks, indicating that he was either new or filling in. Other parties came in while we were waiting, and because the hostess had disappeared and was not there to take their name after a few minutes, they all left. We informed them of what was going on, and they all gladly went elsewhere. After waiting almost 30 minutes and seeing that despite several parties were seated and the app kept telling me 2 parties ahead of you, we and another couple noticed that others who had come in after us were being seated before us. We went back to the hostess to check our place in line and found out that she had skipped 3-4 parties, including us and the other couple who actually stuck around after all this madness. She also had almost everyone listed in the computer as "Betty." After saying something to her, she seated the other couple and us. I had requested a seat in the lounge because it was quieter and there was football on. The hostess informed me that the bartender was not accepting anyone at this time. ????? How can you refuse tables? He gladly took patrons at the bar, but would not take anyone at a table when there were still people waiting and the dining room was filling up at this point. After being seated, we waited about 10 minutes before someone finally came over and asked if we had been helped. She was a great waitress named Ashley. She appeared to be the only one in the building who knew what she was doing. She definitely turned the experience around. We told her what was happening at the front door, and she explained that they were short staff today, and the hostess should have been informing guests of this when they arrived. The food was delicious, so no complaints there. When we went to leave, there was a wait again. Mind you, this was 3 in the afternoon on a Monday. As we walked out the door, we overheard a man speak up and say that someone was being seated ahead of him. Again, she had skipped others from not knowing how to properly use the computer. We told him that she had skipped us and some others, so they need to be careful and check behind her. This place needs a serious overhaul in management!!! read more
