So, we ordered food for delivery. And I got the Smoked Brisket meal. This thing costs $16 and the brisket tastes and feels like it was on the corner of the grill and they put the left over on my tray and covered it with sauce. So obviously the portioned size was off because I have definitely gotten double this size in store. We also got the Texas cheese fries and if you know anything about fries, if they sit under a heat lamp for extended periods of time, they start tasting like it is stale. This is the best service I have had since before COVID. we can in with my elderly mother and the hostess gave us different options for sitting, then kept those option open until my mother could get into the restaurant. The server was very attentive, quick and nice. when the food came out someone's salmon was a little over cooked, and without us saying anything they said they will bring out a new one but left the overcooked one to eat. the manager then came out and apologized for the inconvenience. As a native New Yorker, customer service and QUALITY of food is a core piece of an overall dining experience. I have visited Chili's in New York and this location in N.C. was far from comparable. I'm unsure of who hires the kitchen staff..but they need rehab. Our waitress was very kind and she did try but she was very disconnected with the service she provided. She forgot to offer water and napkins. I may have choked on tortilla chips before having a glass. The bartender was very overwhelmed and filled our Margarita cocktail shaker with more Ice than liquor and mix. Very disappointing. The waiter who delivered the other patrons food kept delivering it to the wrong people. I'm not sure what the system here is like but it needs improvement. The quality of the food is lacking. Table side guacamole was never made at the table. Mostly tomatoes... The chicken fajitas are a skillet filled with onions and green peppers. The "Baby back ribs" are Back Bones. No meat on the bones. They should call them "skinny girl ribs". When asked about our dining experience, I was honest and expressed that the food was not good. Dessert should have been free at that point, but I digress. We ordered chocolate molten lava cake. We were informed that the waitress needed to see "If we have this in stock" WHAT???? Is this a sneaker store ???!!!! In stock????! This is a restaurant. Came here for lunch today with my son and we really enjoyed it! Our waiter was fabulous and was very attentive. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken and it was very fresh and it hit the spot! My son ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and states it was pretty good. Everything was served well and in a timely fashion. Arrived and was greeted at the door for seating with no wait. Initially, was being seated right next to another table and I mean within six feet of the other table. I had to ask for another table because it didn't make sense to seat use so close since the restaurant was empty except for three tables of patrons in the entire restaurant. This visit had to be the worst experience I've ever had at a chili's. My husband and I sat down, got drinks and our appetizer fairly fast and then proceeded to order our entrees right after. Right as we ordered our entrees, a table was sat right beside us. In the time our waitress (and the girl training) left, the table beside us was able to be seated, get drinks, an appetizer, and their food all ordered and ate and paid for before our food was even brought out. We had to end up telling our waitress to just put in into Togo containers because I didn't feel like waiting any longer. I'll never be back here again. I wanted to ask for a refund for just the entrees but I know that'd take forever too. Wasted $70 and 2 hours of my timed But hey, if you wanna wait like 5 f***ing years for your food and waste half your night, then be my guest, come here for the night. This Chili's was just a step above McDonald's. We ate here tonight around 5pm and what we experienced was appalling. Staff were hiding out in the back or looking apathetic and disinterested in servicing the customer. The nachos we ordered were burnt. The only saving grace was a staff member named Byron. This gentleman seated various customers coming through the door, ran the bar, and served the food promptly and with a smile despite hustling to clean tables and take dishes back to then seat more customers. The professionalism and courtesy this guy displayed is worthy of a raise and promotion ASAP. The rest of the staff were absent or in the way, it was very uncomfortable to watch as we ate. I cringed every time I saw another employee mysteriously come out from the back to look around and just leave this poor guy hanging. We went to Chilis specifically for the 2 for $20 deal. First we ordered a water and a soda water....they took 10 minutes to come to the table. We ordered chips and salsa at the same time as our shrimp tacos and chicken margarita tacos. We barely had the nachos for 5 minutes when our meals came out. And one was wrong. They fixed it no problem, but it's always sketchy sending something back. The waitress refilled my soda water with water. Which might not seem like a big deal...but the 2 drinks were in different glasses AND she refilled the real water with a pitcher. Strange. If the "waitress voice" bothers you, don't go here. I didn't expect much from Chili's in terms of food quality, seeing as because of their variety of dishes, none of them are ever that great. That being said, the Combine 2 Fajitas (shrimp and chicken) meal my husband and I shared was...so much worse than I expected. The fajitas came with beans, rice, guac, cheese, vegetables, tortillas, and diced tomatoes. I made a taco using all of the items listed, and it tasted burnt. I was confused, and very disheartened. The funny thing is, nothing looked burnt until I flipped the rice over, which stuck together in clumps because as it turns out, the bottom of the rice was completely burnt. When I say it was burnt, I don't mean it was hard. I mean, the entire bottom side of the rice (and other food items) was so thickly blackened/welded together that it was inedible. It was incredibly disappointing. The meal was also $17 and even if it was in tip top shape, the amount of food wasn't even worth that. The same manager that refused to continue giving us service because they "recognized" the table that was sat 10 minutes after us. I think they sat people fairly fast compared to every where else in the area. Our server was absolutely amazing! I wish I could remember her name. When me and my friend went there for lunch today our waitress took 20 minutes to come take our order because she was taking to her friends and some other guy at the bar. We then got one of our appetizers which was chip and spinach Dip and we didn't get the dip till another 10 minutes. when she did come over she had an attitude so me and my friend didn't leave a tip because we feel she didn't deserve it.
