Over the years I've dined here, but never submitted a review. We had dinner here last night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself wasn't too busy when we arrived. Plenty of parking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As we entered there were a lot of hosts gathered around the reception area. We were seated right away in a booth near the kitchen pass through area. Our server appeared immediately asking for our drink orders and if we knew what we wanted. We just asked for water and a lemonade. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was casual, loud, and active. Chili's has their own vibe IMO. They have a bar area with all the typical accents of a sports bar, but the main seating area has very little televisions, which is a plus for us.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She brought our waters and vanished for quite some time. A lot longer than expected. After a lengthy wait our server returned and took our orders. We ordered the three for me (big crispy chicken sandwich), soup & salad, and the Fresh Mex bowl. There was another lengthy wait for our food. The restaurant started to pick up a bit. The tables started to fill up. Our food finally arrived and everything looked good. Each of us enjoyed our meals. My bowl was good with the addition of shrimp. Overall our experience was fair. The wait times were longer than we would've expected. Our server was ok. She had a good attitude and filled our waters a couple times. We'll continue to eat here in the future. It's not a staple for us, but if you just feel like going out, this place is a nice option. read more

Stopped in to get my free dessert. I picked up my favorite meal, Southwestern Eggrolls. Still yummy. And for my dessert I got the chocolate molten cake. It was very good. I think I like that one out of all their desserts the best. Service was great. I could not get my app to work so I had to wait until I got in. The young lady, Alana was very sweet. I was taking my food home and asked if she could put the ice cream in a separate container so I could eat that in the car and have the cake later in the evening. I am really upset! I ordered chicken quesadilla salad and got it delivered by door dash. The people at chilis forgot the dressing that went with it and they over seasoned it so now not only is my favorite salad dry but now I have heartburn from the excessive lathering of seasonings.. very disappointed prob won't get to go again because that's a key part of the salad! read more

Place is normally pretty nice to visit. The food was awesome! Daughter got a salad and didnt enjoy it too much but the honey chipotle mozz sticks was slapping. Our server was great, however the whole experience was not. It took a while to get our orders after we got our drinks. Our food came and our friend ordered a steak and it was basically completely raw besides some seasoning on the outside. Our meals were fine, but immediately after finishing eating, every single one of five of us started feeling awful. One of our friends had to step outside, another one with chest pain and a sharp stomach ache, and everyone else felt like complete garbage. I don't know what happened but we vowed never to eat at Chilis again. read more

Dropped into Chili's today for lunch. Our server, Alice, was absolutely great...so friendly and kept checking on things and refilling my drink before it was necessary. The food was very good, much better than most casual restaurants. If you go to Chili's in Jacksonville and ask for Alice as your server. The 3 for me is a good value and I recommend the Old Timer with Cheese Burger. read more

I have now eaten here 3 times. Two lunches and Dinner tonight. I can honestly say all 3 meals were great. All delivered hot and fresh. I had had burgers, chicken sandwich and tonight the sirloin. I got stuck in a rainstorm while shopping nearby. It was safer to duck in for a bite than driving 25 minutes home. I sat at the bar and was greeted right away. I asked for water and the southwest rolls. The chips and salsa and water were delivered immediately. The chips were greasy looking and very busted up as if they were at the bottom. The salsa dish looked dirty. Before I even had a sip of my water, my southwest rolls came out. This all happened within 3 minutes of me sitting down??? I ate half of them and got a box to take the rest home since the weather cleared up. I don't know, I guess I've become a snob and am really turned off by chain restaurants. read more

I finally got around to trying the famous American Chili's I've heard so much about. They have a good amount of parking and we were seated quickly when we arrived. Honestly most of the food was way too salty for me to the point I was puckering (the fries & the tortilla chips) but that's my personal taste. The burger was great and you can never go wrong with a lava cake. Our waitress Kiara was awesome and on top of her service! She made sure to check on us and always refilled the water when even we wouldn't notice, it was very appreciated. Overall, I liked this chain restaurant and although not on the top of my priority food list, I'd come back to try some of their other delectables. read more

Our service was horrible. We were disrespected, yelled at, lied on and followed outside after paying because someone in our group left a bad review on the kiosk. Our food was wrong and undercooked. Feels like the only things that were good about this visit were that we got right in and our server was polite. She was either forgetting a lot or the kitchen kept messing up. They were forgetting beverages for us and bringing us ones we didnt order. 2 people in our party ordered the dip trio and they forgot 1 of them. I have a lot of great things to say, but what stood out the most was the customer service. My wife and I had ordered an appetizer before our entrees, but it didn't arrive until after we got our food. We didn't even say anything to the waitress, but she ended up finding out through another employee. Our waitress Lauren, apologized and asked if we needed anything else, to which we said no and we continued eating. She went out of her way to inform the manager, Virginia, who came to our table and apologized. She went above and beyond by removing the appetizer from our bill and even gave us a free dessert to make up for it. The staff served as a reminder that there are servers and staff who actually care about their customers, so with that, we were absolutely blown away. Service was great literally 4 stars the only thing is when we got our food our server was mia for a good minute so we couldn't get more drinks or fix the order in a timely fashion. Food- The burger bites were just a burger barely cut into 4ths and the buns were all still attached. Still able to eat but the visual was not appealing. I usually get the brisket quesadillas which usually are bomb.com for me lol. This time it looked as if it was microwaved and there was no jalapeños on it. The sour cream also tasted not old but it may have been left out for a period of time and was runny. I requested the remake because without the spice it's just bbq sauce meat and barely melted cheese on it. Once my order was replaced it was basically the same just added diced jalapeños. I figured if I ordered it again they would at least get some color on the tortillas but it's whatever I will just do it at home lol. Mac and cheese was dry and cold when served for the kids meal but that didn't stop my step daughter from completely devouring it. She loves kraft Mac and cheese. My Mac and cheese was loaded and it came and was good but the cheese was not melted so it just felt off. I'm not sure if I'm a picky eater or what I still had a good time there and the staff was nice however the food was so bad I don't think I'll go back. It felt like the kitchen just didn't want to take the time to let the food cook completely even the lava cake middle was rock hard and not lava-ing. However like I said before my step daughter just took the chunk of chocolate in the middle and ate it. Since the food wasn't really cooked thoroughly in each of the dishes, except for the hamburger, I would be skeptical on ordering other things. However, this is a chili so it's probably pre-cooked meat so you might be safe. read more

if you have jessica as a server, i'm sorry for you. she's super slow and it wasn't even busy. we told her multiple times how to split the check and it was still wrong. we also asked for receipts and bags for our food to go, and it took her 30 minutes to only bring the receipts which is when i had to ask someone else to give me a bag. she had a attitude and acted like she was annoyed from the start. she was also rushing us to order. i like chilis but dang this trip was garbage. read more

We walked in with a party of ten. They were inviting and greeted us quickly and we were sat within five minutes. Our server was upon us very shortly after. I'll begin with the waitress. She was training another one named Sabrina this night as I do not know her name. I will say that she is very attentive and ensures you get what you ordered. No matter how busy she was, she was smiling and always upbeat and quick to answer any questions. Again, she is a big reason I'll return to here. The atmosphere was decent. Bathrooms and the area were clean. The lighting could use a bit of work as myself and one others were in a pretty dark spot. All employees seemed to help one another and get along well. I don't have much to say about the food. The flavors were great and all the food was prepared well. It all came out as asked and together. Whoever the chef is back there is definitely doing his or her job. Great job to you. I had the Apple jack Rita. Let me ask that you please make it a permanent menu item? It was delicious. Like biting into a fresh green apple. I also tried the presidente margarita. It seemed a bit watered down for my taste but everyone has their differences. I came in with a girlfriend after a shopping trip with our infants. Service was quick. Kinda hasty though. I told the waitress to give me a second to look at something on the menu and she told me no and left LOL She came back like 30 minutes later. But the food was great so I won't complain. I had to visit Jacksonville for work and decided to hit up Chili's for lunch. I knew I just needed an appetizer or something to hold me over and was not expecting too much. When I arrived I was sat very quickly and it was surprisingly busy for a weekday lunch. It did take a while for my waitress to come and take my order but it was clear that she was working multiple sections. Once I put in my order, and the food arrived I did not really see her again but I was there to scarf down some food and be out so it was really not an issue. I got a sampler appetizer and a beverage.
