The roll up window is everything! You can sit at it!
Tia M.

Yes absolutely I recommend!! I came in for lunch and I swear I was just getting a salad but the fajitas just sounded good!! Seated in the bar it's gorgeous! A double sided bar one on the outside with a roll up window!! It's only noon so I skipped drinks but will be back for those!! Service is amazing and I didn't expect any less because el cerro also staffs amazingly! (Same owner) Isabel is a great bartender and server!!! No wait time for lunch it's pretty good size in here! Outside seating. The desserts omg! Mango mousse 110% try it!

It was ladies night out tonight and we want to support a local restaurant. The service was less than great our server forgot multiple dishes for people who had ordered food. It took over an hour for our basic drinks to be brought to the table. The food made it to the table prior to our drinks being served. The ladies who ordered bar drinks were served right away after we asked to speak to management about the service for our larger party, we were given an answer that really didn't satisfy the service. The food was flavorless and the birria tacos were not crunchy. The beans were decent. I think that was the best part of the meal. The band that played was entertaining however, for a Mexican restaurant, it was definitely not the vibe, but the band was great. Due to the quality of service, I will not be back. Save your time and money, go somewhere else for Mexican food.

Jesus said yes to the Blackberry Bubble Tini.

After a fun filled morning & afternoon of teaching our Wildflowers Jeep Club ladies how to geocache, bestie & felt hanger pains setting in. We had both seen the post about the trio of enchiladas and despite the parking lot slammed with cars, we found the inside with plenty of available seating. Even though I pretty much knew I would be ordering the flag enchiladas, I changed my mind at least 6 times before Noah showed up to take our order. First at hand though was a cocktail, because ya know, Jeep'n Richlands geocaching can really drain a girl so much so that only a Bubble Tini can rejuvenate her. I went with the Blackberry with Noah advising me to be camera ready as it would be an experience best enjoyed on a loop. And he was right!! That tini was magical, smokey and worth every cent of that $14 smackers. I mean, when I blew on the dome I inhaled the smoke & giggled like a school girl at a boy band concert when it came right back out in a cloud of what I can only liken to opening Snoop's car door after a long hit on a Cheech & Chong fat blunt (showing my age here). If you are so inclined, do NOT pass up the experience. I told bestie I planned on coming back until I have tried all the tini flavors (except lavendar) because that drink was one of THE most exciting cocktails ever. EVER y'all. Now, while my enchiladas were delicious, they did not compare to that bubble tini. First thing I found on my plate was cilantro. That is an ingredient that was NOT listed in the entree description. What if I had an allergy? I didn't even notice it and very well could have swallowed it without realizing it. Thankfully bestie, who also hates it, noticed it before I took my 1st bite. That is something that should be noted somewhere on the menu. I gave bestie my Birria 'lada and for the most part, I enjoyed my meal. There were a few misses as far as I was concerned with them being, parts of the rice were crunchy. Not crispy but uncoocked crunchy. That was a disappointment. I left the majority of it on my plate. The cheese & chicken were delicious and full, both of chicken & cheese in their respective enchiladas. Another issue was I had requested sour cream OTS that did not arrive with our meal, so I had to wait for our server to grab it before I could dig in. All in all, a pleasant meal with my bestie in an atmosphere that made me feel like I was on a date and not hanging with my bestie. I took hubby home the Brisket Quesadilla and when I brought it into the house I almost ate his meal too! We had 3 entrees & my delectable bubble tini all for $63 bucks! For the amount of food we recieved & the best restaurant cocktail I have ever enjoyed, I thought that was a STEAL! We will be back but next time I'll drive so bestie can enjoy her own bubble tini. Did I tell you how much I enjoyed the tini experience? Y'all, get in there and grab one. You won't regret it. Even with the misses, we'll be back in a week and I have already decided to try the mango tini next.

Beautiful, new vibe-y spot in Jacksonville. Food was great and flavorful. Service (Victoria) was awesome. Very sweet! Pricing is very fair. Two entrees and a queso appetizer with their fresh chips and salsa came out to around $42. We did not order drinks from the bar this time around, but we will be returning!

Brassa Tacos has delicious food and large portions! We have experienced friendly service every time! Both the ambiance and food bring me back to the West Coast.

My wife and i came to this spot last week and from the jump this place caught our eye. The ambiance was super nice, the place was clean and friendly staff ready to greet you. The food was affordable and really good when it comes to the flavor. We definitely recommend this place if you are looking for some good eats and vibes!

Viva Mexico Enchiladas

After seeing the Facebook reel showing the Viva Mexico Enchiladas and the Bubble-tini, bestie and I knew it was time to give Brassa Tacos and Taps a try. We were not disappointed!! Looking at the busy parking lot we were a little concerned that there would be no availability but there was plenty of available seating inside and out. This place is perfect for a date night or just a fun night out with friends! Between the decor and murals we felt like we were in a fun, welcoming, funky space that was perfect for a bestie lunch. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The Bubble-tini was even more fun in person, and the blackberry flavor was on point and the bubble popping when my bestie took a sip was just the best. Chips and salsa, yumminess of course. Viva Mexico Enchiladas: cheesy goodness, juicy pulled chicken, and oh that birria is what my dreams are made of! Guacamole salad was well seasoned and very fresh. My only issues were the rice was a bit crunchy like some of the rice didn't cook through and the hot salsa on one of my enchiladas was hotter than this poor mama could handle lol. Green salsa on the birria enchilada was definitely my absolute favorite! We will be back to try other items and some more bubble-tinis!!

Brassa Burrito and Burria Flautas

I just want to start off by saying it takes a lot to disappoint my husband when it comes to food. And tonight he was VERY disappointed, as was I. It was fairly busy tonight and we waited about 20 minutes for our table. We got the text then headed inside. The hostess was calling a different name about 10 times when we were right in front of her and she did not acknowledge us once... why not start seating other guests that are RIGHT in front of you instead of standing there calling for someone who is obviously NOT here!? Anyways, we sat down and ordered our drinks and food. Our server was great and checked on us a lot. Now onto the food. My husband ordered the burrito which was apparently supposed to be oversized but it was just normal sized to us... his exact words were "It tasted like they just threw everything together super fast on a pan with no salt or seasonings and wrapped it then threw some sauce over it". He also was going to get the refried beans but then decided to get corn since it's beans OR rice... never been to a place where you had to choose one or the other. The corn tasted like CANNED corn thrown in the bowl with water and bottled lime juice. I ordered the Birria Flautas and again NO salt. The consomé tasted like water. I also ordered the Calamari. It came with like two pieces of shrimp and it seemed like they were trying to use lettuce and other veggies to just fill the plate. Now onto the price. There is no reason that burrito should be $24. The calamari was more like a salad than calamari and was not worth $16. So terrible portions for the price. The ambience was great and nice decor but let's be real, we're here for the food... not for the neon signs and light fixtures. I don't usually write reviews but I will not get my $75 back so here I am. Now don't get me wrong our server was fantastic and we tipped her well. It's definitely not her fault that the food is terrible. We will NOT be back.

Shrimp cocktail, surprisingly had a good amount of shrimp &' not just the veggies! Definitely recommend

I loved the vibes and music. The restrooms have changing station and a family restroom which is nice ! The Jalapeno poppers threw me off with the sweet chili sauce. Not what I was expecting but the other food was good. We got the Michoacan carnitas, green spaghett, shrimp cocktail &' the shrimp calamari appetizer. Our server was nice &' friendly the food did take a while but expected as they just opened.

You have to try this dish,"ACP!" With chicken only, or the trio, with chicken, steak and shrimp. It has rice with a cheese mixed in, and onions and peppers. Then it's topped with a white cheese melted to perfection! Here's the thing though, the plate must have been 14 inches, and so full of all of that good food, that I think they purposely fill your plate so that you have to take a ,"people bag" home Reasonable too! The only thing is, it's best to pay with cash, otherwise you will pay almost $3 for use of a card, and we don't want to mess with the servers tips. Oh and before you go, build those muscles up, cause that plate is heavy! There were three of us, and those plates were so heavy that a tall young man had to bring them out, I am not kidding. We were oohing, and ahhing, about the sizable portions of the food. A couple of people who worked there, came to our table to see how we were doing! We could only say,"GREAT!"

The wicker light shades on the drop lamps are very attractive and add to the overall feeling of cozy and gentle festiveness--love it! Our waiter, Esteven, was amazing!! He was attentive and very observant picking up on my penchant for spicy. My entree came out and he didn't think the preparers put the slightly spicy salsa on it--gathering that I like spicy, so he went back and asked if they put it on my entree. He was an awesome waiter ... for more than just that! I love the menu changes (at least for Fajitas, my favorite) since the last time we were there (a couple years, we've had to do take out for awhile ...long while). They added some spicy fajitas, so I had the 'Fajita Diabla.' The sauce (Esteven called 'salsa') was so flavorful and had a little kick which was delightful. We stuffed ourselves and even after a humongous Negro Modelo each, when we got home and I was putting leftovers away I couldn't help but eat some more of the Fajita Diabla--I was so full but it was so delicious!!! (I had also added a bit of their very hot 'sauce' to it...perfection!) I also really like the change in the 'choriqueso' appetizer. Smaller portion which rankled us at first, but the original one was huge/cost almost the same as a small entree, but now it comes out smaller but more attractive and they added a small portion of pickled sliced jalapeños and a small portion of the best Pico de Gallo I ever tried--the portions actually turned out perfect. I loved that there was a lot of small chopped fresh jalapeños in the Pico de Gallo and that the onions were wilted (love jalapeños, but fresh onions burn my stomach, go figure?!). I never liked Pico de Gallo until this experience tonight at Mi Cabana, Western Blvd, Jacksonville Mi Cabana has upped the restaurant experience in Jacksonville, big time! Well done, Mi Cabana

Its not authentic street food or Tex-Mex, like you might find out West, its Americanized Mexican and Latin dishes but everything we tried was a bit better than most, tastier and with a few more options that some chains offer. Since it was lunch the portions and plates were a little smaller but totally adequate and we didn't feel under served, more just right. Noteworthy is their light in-house made chips. I found the table salsa too mild but my wife thought it was perfect for her tastes. Most of the other guests seemed to be business people at lunch and a few other retirees like us. Typical mid-week fast casual restaurant. There was a bar and like many Mexican restraints a rather long menu. We look forward to going back when it's cooler and try the soups and other cool weather dishes. One thing I hate when I order fajitas is some places don't bother to cook the vegetables, ether in a a hurry or thinking the cast iron plate is going to do the job. I want my onions and peppers actually cooked (preferably grilled) and not hard. They got that right, every vegetable was perfectly grilled and seared. We were greeted quickly upon arriving into Liliana's Colombian Restaurant and Bakery by an older gentleman, you could tell he has pride in this restaurant the way he spoke and helped with everything. The food, we order tostones for an appetizer. They were crispy, light, and simple. Could've used a bit of salt personally but the garlic sauce they came with really made up for it. So good! The steak had a ton of flavor, and the yellow rice was solid, though my family actually liked the white rice better overall. We ordered a mix of plates with yellow rice and fries, others with white rice and tostones. I went with the arroz con pollo (classic choice), and my youngest had the chicken nuggets and fries. Only downside: my meal came out about 10 minutes after everyone else's, which was a little frustrating but not warrant for complaints. Our waiter was really sweet, a tad slow checking in sometimes, but he was super accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. He even got honey on the side for my kiddos nuggets. Odd request but it's a thing. A big surprise but we got a free choice of a pastry at the end, which was really nice. My kids picked flan and said it was light, firm, but still creamy. Not too mushy. In the end the vibe is very family friendly. They play Latin music in the background, but it's quiet and chill, easy to drown out and still enjoy. I would love to see this place flourish, I know they deserve it, there's a lot of love put into this place. If we're ever in town again, we'll be back.
