Best chili's I've had in a longtime! We moved to Jacksonville tonight from Alabama. Our server was amazing. I didn't catch his name, but service was prompt, we got everything we needed, and he wasn't constantly asking us how we were doing. Just great service! Even though they were at capacity, everything came out correct, piping hot, and fast. It was delicious. The potato soup was perfect! To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report an incident that occurred on January 10, 2026, at the Chili's Airport Road (River City) location involving the location for General Manager, Mike Conger. The situation resulted in what I believe was discriminatory and inappropriate treatment of a group of teenagers and myself. At approximately 5:30 PM, we arrived at the restaurant to celebrate the 17th birthday of my daughter's friend. The group consisted of twelve well-mannered, well-dressed honor roll and honor society students. Upon arrival, the hostess advised there would be a 30-minute wait. I went to the restroom and then sat at the bar, where I ordered and ate a full meal while waiting for the group to be seated. The teens waited in their cars for the text notification indicating their table was ready. After well over 30 minutes had passed, I inquired again about the seating status. The hostess stated she could not seat our group without manager approval. During this time, I observed multiple parties--both smaller and larger than ours--being seated, despite there being available tables that could have accommodated our group. When the manager eventually came to the front, I was told that our group had "only" been waiting 48 minutes and would be seated shortly. Moments later, I was informed for the first time that groups of 16-18-year-olds require a chaperone. This policy was never communicated upon arrival. I explained that I was, in fact, the chaperone and had been present the entire time, including dining at the bar. Shortly thereafter, our group finally received the text to be seated. I briefly stepped outside to place my leftovers in my car and returned to the bar. Upon re-entering the restaurant, the manager approached me and informed me that both I and the teenagers needed to leave the restaurant. This occurred after I had already paid and tipped for my meal. No explanation was provided for this request, nor was one warranted, as there had been no disruption, dispute, or inappropriate behavior at any time. The manner in which this situation was handled was embarrassing, upsetting, and entirely unjustified. The repeated insistence that the hostess could not seat us without managerial approval, the inconsistent application of an alleged chaperone policy, and the ultimate decision to ask us to leave lead me to believe this group was treated unfairly and discriminatorily. For comparison, the group was immediately welcomed and seated without issue at a nearby Outback Steakhouse, further underscoring the unnecessary nature of this experience. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed and addressed. I would also expect a formal apology to the teenagers involved, who did not deserve to be humiliated or denied proper customer service during what should have been a positive birthday celebration. Additionally, I would appreciate clarification of any official policy regarding minors dining at your establishment. I look forward to your prompt response and a resolution to this matter. read more

The evening began quietly with a few people. I was sitting at the bar winding down from work. I was greeted by a trainee (nice guy but I forgot his name...sorry) and given a menu. I began with a holiday drink with a water back and ordered a triple dipper with the Southwestern egg rolls, bone-in Nashville Hot chicken wings, and sliders W/O bacon. The holiday beverage was cute but too sweet for me. The bar tender asked if she could "fix it" for me and I said no, but I don't think she heard me because she kept thinking of ways to make the drink better (super kind). After a few suggestions we ditched that plan and just ordered a different drink - whiskey sour - a reliable drink! It was very good, too! The sampler was expected but the egg rolls weren't really crispy. It didn't matter because I dipped in the avocado ranch dressing! Yum! The wings were tasty but not really "hot" to me and the sliders were a bit overcooked. A splash of ketchup and a dip in the sauce made me forget all about it and elevated the flavor. Finally, still celebrating my birthday, I ordered the molten lava cake with ice cream! The Chiliheads (are they still called that?) came out with it and singing! I loved it! They had a crowd, which is typical for a Friday night, but we were seated quickly. Our waiter Desmond arrived promptly to take our drink and food orders. Everything arrived not long after and the food met all of our expectations. Desmond still made sure to check on us and refilled our drinks quickly. The entire staff made a great show of serenading the table next to us with a birthday surprise before we finally wrapped up dinner and dessert. This visit was definitely an improvement from the past! I stopped by Chili's Restaurant and was greeted with a smile. The restaurant was well maintained and very clean. I chose to eat in the bar so I could enjoy my meal and get sports highlights. I ordered the Salmon with rice and broccoli. My meal was prepared to perfection. My server (Zoe) did a fantastic job. Her smile would light up any room into which she entered. She is very engaging, kind, considerate and helpful. I might be biased, but I think she's the best person in the house. The next time I find myself in town, I'm heading to Chili's and asking for Zoe. Chili's is one of those establishments that are casual yet always great to go to. I enjoyed my strawberry lemonade but they always have happy hour cocktails. I got a triple dipper which is a fave. I've been to Chili's locations all across the U.S. and even in Japan, and this one takes the crown as the BEST experience I've ever had. Our server, Pam, was absolutely incredible--funny, helpful, and just an all-around joy. Even though Chili's got rid of the corn on the cob (RIP to a legend ), she made the visit completely worth it. Greeted upon entry and seated. The game was playing on a few TVs. Or waited was very attentive throughout our visit. The BlackBerry tea was very sweet and the watermelon lemonade was delicious. I just left this North side location today & I am highly unsatisfied with the distasteful service. I placed an online order for two appetizer sampler trays, one of them i substituted the boneless wings for bone in wings. Arrived at the store about 5 minutes after I got the text stating the order was ready & when I picked up my order I realized the bag was light. I got in my car and checked the bag to realize I was given the wrong order. Went back, they had to remake my order from giving it to the wrong person.. just for the newly made order to not have the bone in wings I paid extra for. On Fridays, my son and I have been trying different restaurants, and when we can't decide, we know that Chili's will be consistent! The food arrived extremely hot and relatively fast since there were families there with graduates. Outside of our soft drinks, I ordered an alcoholic drink which I observed sitting on the counter for about 10 minutes before it was brought to me. It was watered down by the time I got it. This place has really disappointed me lately. I've been trying to keep that superstar rating but two days in a row my order was incorrect. The first day I placed a mobile order for three burgers. None of them came with the toppings or condiments we requested. I called and spoke with the manager and they offered a complimentary fix. I said why not. Fast forward to the next day, I decided to go inside to place my order to make sure that everything was entered correctly on the screen and yes it surely was. The error comes about when the order is in the kitchen. They just aren't putting enough care into fixing the orders. We got on the waitlist via Yelp so our table was ready as we was pulling up. This was a great bonus because the wait is usually long. They are still short staffed but we had a great server. They no longer have the 2 for $35 which I was disappointed in. I ordered my favorite drink the Strawberry Presidente which was delicious. I just went to this Chili's with my wife, mother in-law, and two daughters. We asked for a table of 5 and were asked if we wanted a high top. We said no because of our two year old daughter. We wanted a regular table. Shouldn't have been an issue since 2/3 of the restaurant was empty at 5:37pm. The hostess said she had to go talk to a server. She came back and told us if we wanted that table we had to wait 10 min. Are you serious? I spent 18 years in the restaurant and bar industry doing everything from bussing to being a GM of a restaurant. Totally unacceptable. I will never be back by myself or with my family.
