We came here because it's close and we didn't feel like cooking. Our experience was not that great. The place was pretty empty. We asked the waitress for chips and their homemade ranch. She brought back chips and a red colored water excuse for salsa. I kept wondering who would consciously put this red liquid in a cup and serve it, and call it salsa. I asked for better salsa and the homemade ranch. She brought back ranch that was pretty good and more salsa that was just garbage. The menu said they have local brews on tap. I asked what the local brews were, and she said Bud and Bud Light. I said that can't be right, so she went to the bartender who told her about the local brews. I got an IPA that was pretty good, Orange Crush I think. I drank it and asked for another. She said the keg blew and brought me a Stella, and said it was the same thing. Ha. Got a bacon burger. It was OK. We thought we'd give Chilis next to our house a chance instead of going to Texas Roadhouse like we usually do. We went in for a snack last week to a very empty restaurant. I was alone with my child so obviously I am driving so did not appreciate the pressure for margarita. Ok but that's fine, gotta make a tip. Then the waitress told me about her wife; which is also fine but how does she know if I've already explained that to my 11 year old? Would not recommend this Chili's. It was not busy yet we waited for 15 minutes at our table for a server. Thank goodness we ordered when she first came by. It took way too long to get the appetizer. She finally came by and said she did not know what was taking so long. Then we waited and waited for the meal. Then we asked for more drinks and in the 15 minutes it took to eat she still never came back. We never saw her again. Paid at the kiosk. Again the restaurant was not busy at all so it's not like she had too many tables. The service was bad from the greeter to the kitchen. There are plenty of other places to eat nearby. Haven't been here in ages, but I had a pleasant experience this time. We ordered loaded Texas fries for an appetizer. We had the Cajun Alfredo and New York Steak with loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli as the entrees. So bad, service was the worst, brought the wrong food, felt like an inconvenience the entire time. Dropped a drink obviously on accident and when we were brought another drink the lady with blue hair said "please be careful" like we dropped it on purpose and when we confronted her for saying that she was just like "oh because it's so full" like all of the other drinks weren't as full. We like to start off with the chips & salsa which never disappoint. They're only about $2.99 and are bottomless, but be careful not to fill yourself up with them! I usually get the grilled chicken sandwich (without the bacon) and Mr. S changes his selection every time since he hasn't found something he likes enough to stick to. He's probably had everything on the menu. There are times where the chicken has been juicy & delicious, and times where it was been dry & tasteless. I never know what I'm gonna get until I take a bite into it. The fries are good, but sometimes too salty. The molten chocolate cake is amazing and probably worth the 1000 calories. I know....it's Chili's, not a gourmet place....I had the mental bar set low for the stereotypical decent burger and fries at a little higher than it should be price at one of these chain places. However, I've got to say I was very pleasantly surprised by our more than anticipated experience! To start with the bad so I can end on a high note: there was no one there to greet is when we walked in and stood for 2 or 3 minutes. Once greeted and seated the hostess was quite pleasant and she said our waiter would be right with us .....our waitRESS took several minutes to cone to the table bit did a GREAT job of service from that point forward. We were seated at a table near the kitchen entrance and could hear the kitchen staff talking loudly and playing around which was quite annoying....and since our food (even the chips & salsa appetizer) was a little slow to come to the table, I would tend to blame it on that lack of professionalism and focus. They also holler "corner" as they approach the entrance to the kitchen to alert their coworkers they are coming around that blind corner.....I get it.....but it's jarring to be mid chat at your table and have them yell out. The GOOD: we received FREE, bottomless chips and salsa on check-in thru their 4SQ special (bravo to their use of social media). My son's Western burger was cooked perfectly, the bacon and onion strings were crispy and it, and the fries were clearly freshly made to order. He's very easily pleased, but remarked it was VERY good. I ordered the Spicy Shrimp Tacos which is something completely out of my box, so was not expecting to be bowled over....but I WAS!!! The presentation was better than the menu picture first of all, and the amount of plump, perfectly cooked shrimp inside was a very pleasant surprise (used to being served not too much for the $$ when eating out)! The seasoning and flavor combinations were absolutely delicious. Thankfully, I had the pico on the side because they aren't joking about the "spicy" in the title (chips of jalapenos in the slaw inside, plus I'm kind of a woos). The menu doesn't describe the sauce on it/that's used on the slaw but it is AMAZING! In Googling around, I believe it is a honey chipotle sauce. Yum! The sides of perfectly cooked & seasoned black beans and mild cilantro rice with the nice, sweet pop of grilled corn throughout made a very refreshing, flavorful pairing with the tacos. Needless to say, I had a MUCH better than anticipated dining experience at someplace with a 'bad wrap' for being mediocre. If you haven't been to a Chili's in awhile, go back to this one and try again!! read more

My family and I went to chili's today, and it was awesome. There was a wait due to the high volume at the restaurant. However once seated as we were looking at what to order we were helped out by Rad this man was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. He was helping at least 5 tables at once, and took the time to take are drink order while we waited for the waitress. Once at the table Kayshay greeted us, and was super fast at taking are order and getting it out to us. The manager Brandi came out from the back of house to help assist are waitress with are food. Brandi is always super sweet and helpful when we come in. This is by far the best experience we have had at Chili's. Can someone please get these three awesome people raises!! read more

I don't know why I even gave this place another chance. Food is always mediocre and half the time is comes out cold. Today our table had tilapia and it was given to us cold. I also ordered Fajitas with shrimp and in the picture on the menu it depicts large shrimp with the tails and instead I got small pieces of shrimp enough for one serving. Definitely isn't worth the price. I feel like they're always understaffed as well. Our waitress tried to do her best to attend to us but even with the restaurant not being at a high traffic she seemed to have a lot to do and tried to compensate with what she could. So I don't blame her for not being around frequently. Just not coming back even with the 2 for $20. It's just not worth it if my food can't be prepared properly. read more

Got here at 10pm to eat with a couple of friends (they close at 12am). Nobody was at the front to seat us at all. We proceeded to find somebody so we could have a seat. We sat in a booth and the lady that was supposed to serve us (short hair) was angrily yelling at the person that sat us in that booth. I could see that she was mouthing some nasty things as well, she made eye contact with me and immediately walked towards the back. Worst Chili's visit ever. And likely last Chili's visit ever. Lackluster service. Slow kitchen. Overcooked steak (well++), replacement steak (40mins later) was basically raw, small shrimp, inaccurate check. No concessions for trouble. Took us 2 hours and $50 to get a truckload of disappointment! We brought our veggies home to finish cooking them and eat them later. I don't feel like this location represents Chili's. I'm not too impressed with this Chili's. The first time we went we had horrible service. It took way too long to get our drink and food orders in. Also, it took a while for our food to come out. The second time around was much better. Randy was our waiter and was phenomenal. He was attentive, friendly, and with 4 kids at our table, he had a great attitude and personality. We ordered a kids meal first and it came out within 5 minutes, but once we placed other kids orders in, it took almost 25 minutes. The kids macaroni and cheese was bland, boxed Mac and cheese has more flavor. My biggest concern was the overall food. I ordered the ribeye and added shrimp. Either Chili's has a reputation of overcooking steaks or their recipe just isn't right. I ordered my steak medium but parts of it was medium well to well done. The description of the dish sounds far more appetizing than the steak itself. The meat was chewy and dry. My shrimp was also slightly over cooked. The fries weren't crispy or piping hot, so it could have been sitting out for a while. I love their honey chipotle sauce though, it's pretty addicting and I can eat anything with it. My husband ordered the beef enchiladas and he said there wasn't anything special about it. He probably wouldn't ever order it again. I also loved their bottomless chips and salsa, and the skillet chocolate chip cookie with ice cream is sooooo good. I'll stick to what Chili's is known for next time. I used to go to this location quite often, but hadn't been there in about a year. Something drastic has changed. The entire atmosphere seems as though you are an annoyance to their staff. Sure, they said the right words, but you can just tell that no one is happy. The entire restaurant seemed dirty. It used to be that the parking lot was packed all the time, and when we went last week, it was almost empty. That is always a bad sign. I will avoid going here ever again, and actually paints a bad picture for Chili's in general. There are too many choices in Houston, so I will be trying some of those out in the future. read more

I've been here a handful of times. The first time was good. It's slowly, but surely deteriorated in cleanliness and service. We walked in and there was no hostess. The couple before us had to go to the kitchen to find someone to seat them. Our server, Hassen, was the one who had to seat us. He was great. He was the only thing that made this trip semi pleasant. From the moment we sat down, I was apprehensive about staying. I should have gone with my gut. The floors were dirty, the table next to us had dirty dishes on it from another table, another waitress had cleaned up. She walked away to take a personal phone call. They sat there for over an hour while we were there. We left and they were STILL there. There was a horrible smell (like a dirty mop was used to clean the floors). We won't be coming back anytime soon. They need to hire more, personable and friendly people. read more

Had chips and salsa. Excellent. Chips were crispy and warm. Salsa was warm and nicely balanced. Lunch chicken fajitas were ok. I went to first Chili's in Dallas 40 years ago and many since. They have reduced the amount of sodium and fat. May make the politically correct happy but reduces the flavor. The chicken was cooked properly but was bland as was the rice. Tasted like boiled rice with no salt. Need to add TexMex flavoring. The onions and peppers were also bland. I would add some olive oil or fat and some salt like in the old days. Guacamole and picante were fine. Tortillas were hot and excellent. Black beans were ok but could have more spice such as cumin and maybe oregano. Worcestershire sauce or soy would be good to add to chicken. Tell Norman Brinker that he still has a great chain but he needs to think more boldly with the food. My server was outstanding, probably the fastest and best I have had anywhere in years. So they allowed him to switch to something else.. When he was almost half way done eating, he found an eyelash or hair in his food. Absolutely disgusting.
