I've heard great things about this place, and finally got to go. It did NOT disappoint at all, in fact it was probably the best customer service I have ever experienced. Our waiter, Ryan, was friendly and seemed happy, which is what you want your employees to have when they work. Since it was my first time here, they brought me some sample tacos to try, and the manager brought them. He was so kind, and again, he looked like he enjoyed being there, and had a nice appreciation for food, which I love. The tortillas are HUGE and buttery, they absolutely melt in your mouth. The beef fajitas are amazing, and the beef is perfect. Most places, the beef is tough and hard the chew, but this beef caused no struggle at all. This is by far the best Mexican food I've ever had, with the best workers there. If you're thinking about going here, you will not be disappointed!!

Steak was great very tender ! Service was more than exceptional went beyond to help! Restaurant was very calm and traditional. Only reason I gave it a 4 star was they used to have a Green Serrano sauce that used to make the fajita over the top.But last time we went for some reason the waiter said they got rid of it.

This was very tasty. We had dinner here on our first night in town, my boyfriend used to go here when he lived in Houston. We weren't super hungry so we split the tableside guacamole and a half-pound order of the fajitas with steak and chicken. I've only had guacamole made tableside maybe one other time, and it was a treat. The fajitas were also very tasty, though I'll caution that the tomatoes they serve with them are pretty spicy. My boyfriend actually forgot his credit card there that night and we called the next night to see if they had it - they did, in their safe, and we were able to stop by at 930pm the next night, even though they closed at 9pm, which was excellent customer service IMO. Overall a very tasty place and I'd come back again when in town, I believe they have a few locations, too.

Lupe Tortilla, I'm about to put you back on my do not eat list! I should've been done with you when I received pink chicken 2 years ago. I specifically asked for made to order fresh fajitas when I placed my order from your togo parking area. My order came out and my chicken and steak fajitas registered at 96 to 98 degrees according to my thermal temperature gauge. I wanted my togo fajitas to hot as if I was dining in at your restaurant, and they come to me sizzling hot! I sent the fajitas back and requested hot fajitas and you guys put the same fajitas in the microwave or back on the grill which somewhat dried them out! After waiting in my car for about 10 minutes they came back out. Yes they were hot and steam was coming from the container. It registered at 135 degrees, but when I got home the chicken was dry. The beef was somewhat dry but not dry as the chicken. That was very tacky that you microwaved or tossed the items back on the grill! Caroline was very polite and understanding and she did her job. 3 of the 4 Tortillas we severely overcooked. Not good!

Birthday!

Their brunch is amazing and I don't come here for brunch enough. Everything from the huevos rancheros, pancakes, and my favorite the enchiladas and eggs are all divine. Their iced coffee is pretty tasty too! We come here often and I can honestly say I have never had bad service or a bad meal here. My daughters absolutely love coming to Lupe Tortilla and my oldest just turned five and requested coming here just so they could sing her happy birthday. Our waitress was so amazing she got everyone to come out and they put the hat on her and my daughter was so overjoyed! Thank you so much for making my baby's day so special!

Consistently slow. Out of the two times that I've ordered to go, it's been over 15 minutes late.

For drinks, my husband and our friends tried some of the margaritas from their large and unique margaritas menu, as well as their hibiscus agua fresca. All of the drinks were very pretty and it seemed like everyone enjoyed them, too! We started with their chips and salsa trio, which we all really liked. The chips were on the thicker side, but were crispy and not stale or chewy at all. Each of the salsas were quite different, and two were served warm, which we really liked! For the price, I'd consider getting the chips and salsa as a non-negotiable, honestly. For entrees, we tried the enchilada rojas, chilaquiles verde w/ chicken and beef, birria barbacoa ramen, and huaraches. My husband felt like his ramen could have included more meat, but aside from that everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. The highlight was probably the desserts, though! We got a quatro leches and two ordered of their giant and amazing churros. Both were incredibly tasty and reason enough to return for another visit in the future!

It was my first time trying out Tex mex style. It was so busy on a Saturday evening. The chips that were given to each table was incredibly warm and the sauces paired so well. That tamale was amazing. I would get several orders of that soft white tamale by itself to go. And the service was a 10/10. Service was remarkable and very friendly from the host to the cleaning staff. Food was delicious. I really appreciated the creative flavors that were inspired by authentic Mexican cuisine. Standouts were the guacamole and wagyu carne asada, but everything was fantastic. I loved the Clara cocktail and enjoyed learning about the process to create it. It is clear that there was care and attention behind each menu item. Also, the pace of the food being brought out was evenly paced, which I appreciate, and our server gave us just the right amount of attentiveness. We celebrated my husband's birthday here, and they sent out a tres leches with a candle on it. Very kind and very delicious dessert. Usually not a big fan of tres leches, but this one was not overwhelmingly soaked in condensed milk, and it has a very fresh tasting peach (seasonal) puree drizzled on top. We will most definitely return.

We ordered the breakfast burrito and the duck carnitas. We added barbacoa to the burrito, and it was honestly the definition of comfort food. It was EXTREMELY greasy though, so I ended up eating it with a fork and knife. If I had been home alone... I probably would've just shoved the whole thing in my mouth. I couldn't not order the duck carnitas. It came on a sope, which is basically my definition of the perfect Mexican brunch. It was really yummy, and I especially loved the salsa that came with it. My only real critique is that the portions felt a little on the smaller side. Either bump them up a bit or add a small side, because I definitely could've eaten a little more.

It's in the Museum District/Montrose area, so pretty accessible and with plenty of parking. We got seated immediately, and there was a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating, the latter of which was great even on a humid day. The menu was pretty extensive with your Tex-Mex classics like fajitas and enchiladas, with a special for every day of the week. This time was a free upgrade to a large fajita, so I went with the chicken fajitas! It came out after about 20 minutes with all of the fixings and this very yummy buttery sauce.
