I love their crispy tacos and my wife loves the "Mexican plate" that comes with a cheese enchilada, crispy tacos, tamale, rice and beans. They have large drinks. The service is on point. Don't do group orders from here. Beans are all watery missing a beans and rice and a queso on a 6 plate order... Very good Tex -Mex. As soon as I was seated, chips, excellent salsa, queso and jalapeños were presented. I had the #4 from the lunch menu. Two cheese enchiladas (with onions of course) and a crispy beef taco, rice & beans. The food, service and ambiance all five star plus great prices to make it an excellent package. A lot of tables were ordering the fajitas which looked and smelled awesome so I'll be back very soon to give them a try! read more

I'm so glad this location hasn't changed. I originally would visit the one on louetta, but it's changed too much for my taste. The rice and enchiladas are still great here. We have been customers here for a long time (20 years). Tonight's dinner was excellent. Husband had Carna asada, and I had fried avocado with beef. The food was fresh, hot and super cheesy. Hats off to the chef. Love the regular wait staff that is always nice and accommodating. Every other table had margaritas, so they must be good. It appears that I have found my new favorite Mexican place! I've been here three times now and every time I show up I am happy with the menu, speed of the food coming out, and the friendliness of the staff. The parking situation is less than desired since it's in a busy strip center, but something I can overlook because it's close to home and delicious. Their salsa is served warm. Which I normally despise (cold salsa is much better), but theirs is flavored so well and spicy! Can't say no. I've had enchiladas, tampiquena (sp), and burritos there. All delicious. I did recently have a house rocks margarita and it wasn't very good. But cheap tequila doesn't taste good so I'll order a better quality tequila and report back later in an update. The booth have plenty of room for you to sit in and not bang the crap out of your knees (talking directly at you el jimador). They always have their tv's on soccer or any other sports event that's taking place. It's not loud, but not quiet either. It's just nice. I love it here and think you would too! Syoy! read more

Terrible! I stopped in at 5 pm after picking up my grandsons from elementary school nearby. First off, NO HAPPY HOUR. Second, the kids menu prices are outrageous! $6.75 for a half of a tortilla folded over to make a quesadilla with beans and rice on a small child's size plate. $7.25 for one crispy taco with beans and rice on a child's size plate. And that DOESN'T INCLUDE A DRINK! They charged $2.50 each for a small soda in a Styrofoam cup! I ordered the tamale plate and they were terrible! All masa and bland! There's too many good Mexican restaurants around to waste your time and money here! read more

Upon being seated, they provide your table salsa dip and chips. Their queso is warmly delicious, although it's not free. My go to dish is their Shrimp Enchiladas with verde sauce. It's moist and packed with flavor. Despite their house Margarita being humongous, the size is deceiving as it's not that strong which could very well be subjective ;) For birthday folks, they will sing a song while having you wear a hat - but be warned - they will plaster a handful of whipped cream over your face at the end! We stopped in here on a Saturday night and the parking lot was packed, with a lot of people waiting outside for tables. A good sign, IMO, so we waited too. The restaurant was crowded and casual. The waiters nice and efficient. The fajita dishes was had were yummy and the salsa had some spice. The margaritas were fine, if not great. (Take whatever you can't finish to go - they do take out, no problem! All my personal faves are healthier than the usual options that can scratch your TexMex itch. If you want to commit to the true fatty, caloric, food bomb that is more traditional TexMex, they've got what you need, in spades - beef & chicken in various cheese and tortilla configurations abound. You really can't go wrong with any of it! This is the second location - first is in Spring - only drawback to being in a strip center is the crap-ola parking when they're busy. There isn't anything else close by for parking, other than a residential street or a busy road, so when a couple of businesses in the strip are open and busy, parking can get really gnarly. One of my favorite restaurants. I love the enchiladas verdes with the fajita beef. It is so delicious! Also the refried beans are really good too and I'm not a big fan of beans either. During the lunch hours Mon-Fri they give you free queso and a dish of pickled jalapeños. These jalapeños are so good I literally crave them. Service is always wonderful as well. A very attentive staff always refilling chips, salsa, or beverages. It may be a bit of a trip to get to as it is located in a small strip center in a residential area but if you ever are in the area I don't think you will be left unsatisfied. read more

It's your basic Mexican restaurant with all the same menu items. The real difference here is that the high food quality and taste is consistent on each and every visit. Unlike other Mexican restaurants I've been to, I have never thought that they must be having an off day here. Good quality food with decent prices and every meal is as good as the last visit. I had the stuffed avocado subbed meat options for shrimp and they were great. It's one avocado fried and split in two, not the round traditional style I've had at a chain restaurant. Holy smokes are they delish! My hubby had the flautas and it's the first time he's ever brought home. I crisped them up nicely under the broiler. Consistently excellent service - it is a restaurant full of hard workers, we are well taken care of with very fast service even when it gets packed. They have a great variety on their menu - we've tried the fajitas poblano (my husband's favorite - a single portion is enough for two people!), stuffed avocado (served in kind of a deconstructed way), one of their grilled chicken dishes, and my favorite so far - Anaheim enchiladas that are like a cross between a stuffed pepper and fajita enchiladas - soooo good, well balanced, great flavors, and maybe I've been living under a rock but I've never seen this dish before and it is an instant favorite for me. Their salsa is not my favorite - one big bowl that has a stronger tomato flavor than I'm used to but we always get a queso and it's like the guilty pleasure kind. WAs there today. I ordered the No 1 simple plate with 2 tacos, rice beans and tomatoes, guacamole, etc. It was my first time i did not want to indulge in antything fancy . First the Pico de Gallo and chips: the sauce is straight from a can. You can taste the metal taste. Yuck. Came the food: tiny, diced pieces of dried out chicken and beef that fall off the fork every time. When I saw that, i thought "Imposters in the kitchen". The beans straight from a can. In order words if you enjoy canned food , this is the place! Awful food that make you feel very uncomfortable at each bite. When It was time for me to leave, the waitresses were gathered and chatting, finally I had to disturb the ambiance and have one bring the check. Again, i had to disturb and have one pick up the signed receipt. I ended up with someone else's credit card in my purse which I found out later that day. Do yourself a favor and forget about that place. It is mentioned as one of the BEST restaurant in the areal So you realize that you are being conned left and right so take it from me, please! All the 2, 3 or 4 stars are all lies or from people who have lost their last taste bud! read more
