On a Saturday evening, the wait was 15 minutes. We haven't been here for ages and, unless they brought in high quality new food, I was aiming for their signature chicken crispers. Aiming no higher than last place, I was still disappointed. Let me knock the positive out of the way. Our server was very attentive to our needs and left us with not a single complication. My wife ordered the 3 for me for $10.99. The chicken tortilla Soup came in a salsa ramekin-size soup "bowl". The 2nd thing was a Sprite (because it HAS to be a Sprite.) The 3rd was a Crispy Chicken Sandwich has mayo and pickles, but was really dry. If you HAD to get their average at best chicken sandwich, get the deluxe. The fries were overcooked and unfun. That was marginally bad, but here's the ugly, y'all: their Chicken Crispers are NO MORE! They maintain having the much lower quality Crispy Chicken Crispers, but not the fluffy yet crispy breading of the Chili's Chicken Crispers. The dry disappointment that is their chicken crispers requires dipping sauces to be edible. (They are worse than the very good by comparison gas station fried chicken.) 1 star for the food experience, a star above for good service. read more

I haven't been here in years because the last time I went we were there for my brother's birthday and the service was pretty bad. Completely ignored our table but helped the tables around us. I only gave it a try again recently because my friend wanted lunch there and I had been wanting to try the triple dipper. The food was good but not amazing. Social media definitely over hyped it. Service this time wasn't that great either. She hardly checked up on us and it wasn't even that busy. When we were ready to pay it took a while to even get our waitress attention because she was just standing there talking to another waitress. The three for me deal is amazing. I ordered the big qp burger that comes with fries and includes a drink and with a starter. The options were a side salad, chips and salsa, and a cup of soup. The service was great. Our server gave us all the things we needed with no problems at all and always checked up on us for water and refills for our chips and salsa. Chili's has something for everyone! Tonight I went to this location with 6 others and had to wait about 20 minutes for a table (for perspective, this was a Thursday evening at 7:45pm). They were busy! Clearly this is a popular spot in Fresno. Everyone in my party found something they wanted to order, even my young nieces. I've always thought Chili's tortilla chips are delicious, so we had to order chips and salsa. I opted for the Chipotle Chicken Tex Mex Bowl for my entree. It was really good! I also ordered a skinny marg to go with it and they paired perfectly together. Our food came up quickly and they brought dessert for one in my party celebrating a birthday. A manager then came out and explained they couldn't force another party to leave, so we would need to continue waiting. I've been on a Chili's kick lately, cause of the promo they have going, the 3 for me offers. I'm in Fresno for work and the hotel I'm staying is just a couple of blocks away so this works out great. I'm here with on co worker. We get seated just fine and we tell the server when they ask for drink orders, that we're doing the 3 for Me options, so the drink is included. I get my diet coke and my co worker gets iced tea. Lately I seem to be always getting the new Smasher Burger and I do like it, but I wanted maybe to try something else. I saw on the menu, the Oldtimer® with Cheese Burger is offered for the same price of $10.99, which includes a salad and the drink along with fries of course. Oldtimer® with Cheese has the same sized patty as the Smashed burger. I love the meat size here, cause the edges extend all the way or beyond the edges of the bun. I hate getting a patty and ending up with bun and no meat at the end like a lot of place. My co worker didn't want a burger so he got the Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas. Which was Chicken, shredded cheese, chile spices, bacon, house-made ranch. Served with pico, sour cream, ranch. It was $14.99, more than the $10.99 burger, but hey, that's what expenses accounts are for! The food arrives and my burger looks good with the meat all overflowing outside the edges of the bun. The Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas looked super yummy, I might get that next time! Tasting my burger, I'm thinkin, this may be better than the Smasher burger cause it has more stuff like lettuce and tomato inside. I tasted a bite of the Quesadilla and it was scrumptious, dang I will get that next time. Isabella, the host, provided a very poor experience. We were told there would be a 30-minute wait for our party of eight for our son's birthday dinner. We ended up waiting over an hour before being seated, which we were patient about given the occasion. During that time, a party of ten came in and was quoted a 1 hour 40 minute wait. Just five minutes later, Isabella seated that party before us, even though we had already been waiting for an hour. When I asked why, she said she had a table with 10 chairs and didn't want to seat our party of eight there because it could fit ten people. In other words, she chose to seat a later party ahead of us simply to keep a larger table open. She also claimed her manager told her to do this. When I spoke directly with the manager, he immediately apologized and said that was not correct and that we should have been seated first. We were then seated less than a minute later, which makes it clear the situation could have been handled properly from the start. Mistakes happen, but the bigger issue was Isabella's attitude. She was rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful when we tried to understand what was going on. This was supposed to be our son's birthday dinner, and the way the situation was handled left a very negative first impression of the restaurant. read more

Only reasons for 2 stars: 1) the 3 for me deal they have which is 10.99 for a beverage, appetizer, and an entree, and 2) that when you order chips and salsa, they will give you a small bag of chips to take home if you ask, and 3) service was ok. I got my salad as my appetizer, no joke, first mouthful, tasted rotten, like dirt. I could not eat it. I included a picture with some of the slimy unidentifiable items in my salad visible. The fork I was given to use in the little brown paper bag wrap, had blue, green, and brown...I don't know what...on the handle. I obviously did not want any other greens (lettuce, etc), so they just brought out a bowl of cut up veggies, and a new fork. Service was okay. We ordered and got things delivered, with an occasional very quick ask if we needed anything. That's about it unfortunately. My kids, who devour cheese pizzas wherever they go- each didn't even finish 1 piece out if their 4. Their mandarin oranges were not cold and very mushy. Not fresh- whole kid's meals were very disappointing. I ordered a black bean burger. Granted these are not known to be juicy, but it was super hard and not hot. Took my kids here tonight for dinner. We get our drinks, we order and get up to wash our hands. We came back to 2 of our drinks gone and a watery mess under the table. I do customer service full time and immediately lost my appetite. Cancelled my order and if I wouldn't have been with other people I would have gotten up and left. Update from my last review! I love the chilis triple dipper with my whole life. My favorites to get are the big mouth bites, the mozzarella sticks, and the honey chipotle chicken crispers. I LOVE the honey chipotle chicken crispers so much that I tweeted about it. The servers were so attentive and kind. My waitress refilled my tables' waters consistently and also asked if we wanted more chips. The inside of the restaurant is a vibe it's casual and chill. It is also pretty clean. Had a really disappointing experience at Chili's tonight. I checked in with my party and was nothing but kind and respectful from the start. The hostess told us we'd be seated in under 20 minutes, which was fine--but we ended up waiting around 30-40 minutes. When I politely followed up, I was met with a bit of an attitude and told that she had a party of 8, which didn't really answer my question. I simply wanted to know how much longer our own party would have to wait. Later, another server asked if we wanted to sit at high-top chairs. I respectfully declined and asked if we could be seated at a booth or standard table--but they flat-out said no. What really threw me off was seeing multiple parties walk in after us (including parties of 4 and 6) and get seated immediately. That felt really unfair and honestly left a bad taste in my mouth. I've always enjoyed Chili's, but this experience made us feel ignored and unvalued. Hoping this was just a one-off, but definitely frustrating. read more

First time here and ordered to-go ordered the popular 6 piece mozzarella sticks in the Nashville flavor, which I should've gotten the 3 piece instead. Got the triple dipper as well. Spent $35 all together I would say I don't recommend the mozzarella were overly seasoned making them salty and they weren't made fresh. Their triple dipper was okay nothing special.
