Cajun Pasta

I liked the place, the cajun pasta was really good, one of my favorites! my server mel was great and check in frequently and i appreciated that, overall great experience!

My daughters were craving for Chili's today so I ordered the Triple Dipper® meal for them. The Triple Dipper® had the following: 1 x NEW! Nashville Hot Mozz 1 x Big Mouth® Bites 1 x Ranch 1 x Honey-Chipotle Chicken Crispers® 1 x Ranch $18.39 1x Chips & Salsa 1 x Fresh Salsa $7.29 I ordered through their website so there's a rewards for free chips & salsa for new account. Their Fried mozzarella tossed in the Nashville Hot sauce were so addictive and delicious!! It also served with house-made ranch dressing. The Big Mouth Bites are mini cheeseburger sliders that featured bacon, American cheese, sauteed onions, and house-made ranch dressing on toasted buns. The beef patties and sliders were a bit dry but they were flavorful. The Honey-Chipotle Chicken Crispers were Hand-Battered chicken strips. They were tender and juicy with crispy exterior. The taste was so flavorful and appealing with a balance of sweet honey glaze and chipotle spice. It was a satisfying meal.

Not sure why others leave negative reviews, because every time I've dined at this location the food and service have been top notch! Today we had Taylor as our server and he was amazing from the moment we walked in. Super attentive, friendly, and really made our experience enjoyable. He even went above and beyond by giving me chips and salsa to take home, along with a drink. Definitely one of my favorite spots, and Taylor made it even better!

Went to Chili's for dinner with friends and had a fun time. I ordered the Old Timer burger with corn on the side--it was tasty and satisfying, though a bit on the oily side. Still hit the spot! The staff were super nice and accommodating, checking in on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant was pretty loud, but it added to the lively, upbeat vibe. Great spot for a casual night out with friends, though maybe not ideal if you're looking for a quiet meal.

Chili's doesn't take reservations but has a waitlist, so be prepared for a wait during peak hours. Make sure to check the current wait time on yelp. My group of six came in after work around 7:30 PM on a weekday, and we were pleasantly surprised--our wait wasn't too long at all! Once seated, our server was super attentive and took the time to explain the popular dishes and how the combo meals worked. I went with the Ultimate Smokehouse Combo, and honestly, it was the best decision. Perfect if you're coming in hungry--especially after a workout. I only made it through half and saved the rest for lunch the next day. I loved being able to mix and match; it's like a little BBQ sampler platter. If you're in the mood for a drink, do yourself a favor and try the Blackberry Presidente Margarita. It came in a glass with a mini shaker, and it felt like I got two servings in one--great flavor and value. The only downside (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) was that service was a bit on the slow side, likely due to a few other large parties being seated at the same time. Overall, a solid spot for a casual group dinner. I'd definitely come back!

I ordered the triple dippers and the chicken tender combo. For the triple dipper I order hot boneless chicken wings, sliders, and mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella was hot and had a nice cheese pull. The service was good tonight.

A few years back I used to come here on the regular. My daughter asked me to come with her so gave it a try. I tried a margarita, which back prior they used to have the best mango Margaritas, the one I got this time was too sweet and tasted like a non alcoholic beverage. I ordered the triple dipper with three different style chicken strips. They no longer have the original chicken crispers I used to get. The ones I received did not taste good at all, I actually took food home, which I normally always eat my food. We sat in the bar area, some customers just don't have any courtesy for other people or the staff.

Service was excellent today. We were waited by Gino who was super attentive and patient, and did his best to take care of our party of 6.

I love eating here and usually come here to eat with my friends and family occasionally. The servers are generally very efficient and kind when taking orders from us. The inside is usually kept clean, and the decor is the same as always but still great. My go-to is the triple dipper, with buffalo boneless wings, big mouth bites, and honey chipotle crispers with all ranch. I love eating it every time and hope they never take it off the menu!

I went on a busy Friday night, with the bar completely packed and the majority of the tables filled. Thankfully the waitress was attentive and got my party of two seated in a booth within 2 minutes after we entered the restaurant. The service was the best I ever had in recent memory for a casual dining restaurant. I lost count but the service staff stopped by our table at least six times and politely asking things like if we needed any condiments or refills in our drinks, asking if we were enjoying the food, and whether they can take our empty plates and cups away. Moving into the food, I ordered the 3 for me deal. I tried the Cajun chicken pasta (can choose between chicken or pasta), a cup of chicken enchilada soup, and a strawberry lemonade. The strawberry lemonade was addicting, with a nice balance between sweet and tart. The soup was flavorful and was able to taste a variety of different spices. It was also surprisingly quite creamy thanks to the cheese. However, I didn't quite enjoy how the chicken pieces were a bit soft and how the soup was too salty for my tastes. Finally, the Cajun chicken pasta was more like a typical Anerican Chicken Alfredo pasta. There wasn't much of the Cajun spice sprinkled on top, and I didn't taste any Cajun flavor either. There wasn't much of the advertised parmesan, tomatoes, and green onions either, and all those flavors were buried by the sauce's heavy cream. The Alfredo sauce itself tastes fine; better than the canned sauces. The pasta was firm and had a nice chew and were nicely coated in sauce. The chicken was a pleasant surprise by being well seasoned and quite moist. The garlic toast was crunchy with a fluffy interior and had a decent garlic flavor. Overall, I was satisfied with the food, with some mild to moderate complaints, but the service is top notch.

Also, the music was pretty old and a little corny, which threw off the vibe of the place. With better service, improved food choices, and an updated atmosphere, this spot could be much better, and cleaner.

Huge shoutout to the owner, Cat, who was so amazing to work with and made the whole night feel extra special. Great food, front-of-house needs a bit of work…read more.. We made reservations for Mother's Day brunch a week ahead and thankfully we did as they had booked up at least 1 or 2 days before. Parking is super easy as it's in a plaza and shares a big lot with other businesses. They had a special menu, so I'm not too sure what is and is not part of their usual menu, but this is what we ordered: 1. Baltimore Crab Cakes (comes with 2): we were pleasantly surprised as it came with a side salad; the crab cakes themselves were not dry at all and came with a good amount of crab. Delicious, 5/5 2. Heirloom tomato and stone fruit salad: one of the things they pride themselves on is sourcing their ingredients locally and sustainably. You can really tell with this dish that all of their ingredients are really high-quality and fresh. The stonefruit was super sweet. The price ($18) was a bit high for the portion size, so this was a 4/5 for us. 3. Crab & tonnarelli: really good cook on the pasta; my husband is really picky on pasta that's overcooked, but this came to us perfectly al dente. There was a good amount of crab as well, so we appreciated that they didn't skimp. That said, the taste was a bit one-toned and underseasoned, which is a lot coming from us since we typically complain about food being too salty. If it came with a bit more salt, it would've been one of our favorites. 3.5 (maybe 4)/5 4. Pork sisig and garlic rice: we love sisig, so we had to order it. While it was super flavorful and delicious, we couldn't finish it on the spot since it was pretty salty and we were getting full. We did take it home and cook some more vegetables into it to dilute the salt a bit. 4/5 5. Ricotta cheese pancakes: super fluffy and airy, you can tell why they need 20 minutes to prep them. Again, the fruit they used was super fresh and sweet. Loved, no notes. 5/5 Service-wise, there were some hiccups with our orders. Our salad came to us without the burrata and when we asked them about it, it took about 3-4 people double-checking their menu to confirm it actually came with burrata, then a handful more minutes to rectify it. It seemed strange to me that they were unfamiliar with their own menu. Our pork sisig dish came out much later than every other dish and our waiter had to check up on it a few times, so it may have just gotten missed. There seemed to be a lot of people working in the front, but somehow hard to flag them down and get helped when we needed it. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as it was Mother's Day and I'm sure it was busier than usual. Our waiter was also gracious in comping a drink as a result of the long wait for the sisig. Overall, we'll still come back as we want to try other dishes and we do appreciate the freshness of the ingredients and their integration of vegetables with dishes, which can sometimes be hard to come by. Just wanted to provide some feedback on service in hopes they'll take it constructively.

There were plenty of parking as it's in a shared plaza. For the store, it's a moderate size but it was definitely busy at the time we went. American Express is accepted as a payment option. The staff gave us a number to place on the table we sat at but we were free to grab any seat we liked. For seating, there were a few tables for parties of two and limited tables for bigger groups. Keep in mind if you need water or extra napkins, they'll have those near the bar seating. Both the Pink Vodka Pasta and Rich Miso Pasta exceeded our expectations! The miso pasta leans on the creamy side but pairs very well with the pink vodka pasta. The miso pasta didn't come with any protein by default, so we were glad that we added the Taiwanese sausage. Fun fact is that the meatball from the Pink Vodka Pasta is vegan! The portion size was super generous from both dishes and was beyond just two people. I wasn't expecting to discover pasta dishes that I'd consider as one of my favorites from this visit! I'll definitely come back to try other dishes.

I am so glad we chose Hide Out Cafe in Rowland Heights to have our celebration. The food is delicious, the staff is so friendly, and the cafe is so cozy and welcoming. My brother was sponsoring our meal since he couldn't make it, so of course we had to go all out and order two drinks and two main dishes. (Thank you, big brother)! I got the Boba Bear Set $8.50, which comes with a drink and two house-made cookies, and my mom got their Tiramisu Latte $7.00, which is heavy on the coffee liquor, to be honest, but we had fun with it. The drinks are crafted beautifully, and with the open cafe concept, you can see they pay attention to the small details of their crafted drink menu. The house-made cookies that were a part of my Boba Bear Set are not to be forgotten. The cookies are buttery, decadent, and delicious; they are the perfect tea cookies to pair with! I can't wait to go back and try more of their fun drinks and maybe bring a study book the next time. For our main dishes, we shared the Chimi Wagyu & Frites $35.00, and the Fresh Avocado Toast $19.00. We both love eggs so of course we had to get something with eggs in our dish. My mom loved her avocado toast, and they were very generous with the avocado as well on there. The salad is a definite hit with us and included a great dressing on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly on top of our toast and steak. The frites with my steak were crispy and seasoned well. I also loved the chimi sauce with my steak as well. The portion was huge so we were able to take some back home to enjoy another day. Overall, my mom and I had a great experience and would absolutely come back for another sip of their lattes and try another fun drink on their menu. We left with happy smiles and full stomachs, and can't wait to come back soon.

However, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) is very hidden. It has no visibility from the street! Staff is very professional and welcoming. Staff politely and cheerfully answered all my questions. Staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. For example, the location does not have a paper menu; all the menus are accessed via QR Code. Fortunately, Staff let me borrow their iPad which allowed me to see the menu on a larger screen. When I'd arrived, Staff asked if I was dine-in or to-go. I was immediately seated. When I'd inquired about the boba. Staff honestly told me that they needed 15 additional minutes to prepare the boba. I brightly waited. All in all, after the 15 minute wait, the drink took an additional 10 minutes before being ready. As mentioned, I ordered the Boba Bear Set ($8.50). CUTE!!! It's a very aesthetic and memorable presentation. The boba pearls came perfect; they're bouncy, perky, and playful. The brown sugar milk tea mixed with the caramel foam tasted honey-like. It's very TASTY! My biggest nitpick is that the amount felt tiny. Still, it's a wonderful memory that I'm so happy to experience! On ambiance, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) is comfortable and clean. There's about 13 interior tables, and there's six patio tables. The music is slow-tempo, and the tall ceiling made it feel spacious. In addition, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) has utility. There's customer internet with password; details are available on the QR code menu. There's also about four electrical outlets. I also appreciated the self-service water station. There's also a gender neutral restroom in the back. Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) felt very hidden yet well-maintained. It's a lovely spot. Overall, I had a magical, memorable experience. I discovered AMAZING milk tea and many precious memories. If searching for someplace special, I happily recommend. 4.9 out of 5

Servers kept walking past our table without checking in and honestly looked kind of lost or wandering around aimlessly. Luckily they keep water pitchers on the tables already filled, which now makes perfect sense considering how long it takes to get service. Smart move on their part. I ordered the avocado toast with a side of bacon, and my husband ordered the chorizo skillet. The coffees and my food came out quickly, but his never did. Instead, we watched an older server walk around the restaurant with his skillet and bacon, stopping at multiple tables asking if it belonged to them. Twice she set it down at other tables before being told it wasn't theirs. The third time, she finally brought it to us. That seems like it should be a health issue, what if someone else had stuck their fingers in it not knowing. By then, my husband didn't even want it anymore because it had already been sitting in front of other people. To their credit, they remade it, but then we waited another 15 minutes for his food while I had already finished eating. We actually watched another couple sitting next to us get so frustrated because their order was completely forgotten. After waiting forever with no food and barely any acknowledgment, they eventually just got up and left. Overall, cute spot and really good coffee, but the service was incredibly disorganized and the food mix-up was a huge turnoff. Unfortunately, we won't be back.
