Really slow service. It should not take forty plus minutes to serve two people what amounts to a triple dipper (3 appetizers) and an endless soup, salad and chips. I was treating my mother and this is the first and ONLY time I only bothered getting one round of the soup/salad because it took so long just to even receive the first batch. Her food was cold and needed to be reheated after initially being wrong in the first place, and staff, while nice, is not attentive. This has to be literally the worst location I've ever been to in my entire life. I have been here probably three times now each time hoping it would get better and I think it has gotten worse. We took the whole family(7 people) there on the weekend around 7 PM and half of our order came out within 20 minutes. The other half did not come out for another hour! No explanation from the manager, no meal comp, nothing. The meals were also switched between two family members. We went with our friends and ordered the fajitas which were fabulous and the salsa and chips. The only reason I don't give a 5 star rating is the service was a little inconsistent as far as keeping our drinks filled mainly which is a biggie for me. This was my second visit to this Chili's. I was really excited when Chili's finally opened a restaurant in Great Bridge Virginia. My most recent visit was again wonderful. Our server was a delight and not only on top of his game, but courteous and had a sense of humor. Our dinners came from the kitchen hot and delicious. The restaurant is very clean and the bathrooms are some of the cleanest and driest; that to me is a very big plus. Nice clean bathrooms usually mean a good restaurant overall. The only down side is that if you go to any popular restaurant around Hampton Roads on the weekend is that you will have to wait for a table. read more

I've never been to Chili's in my life before tonight. The steak I ordered was absolutely superb. The cooks definitely know what they are doing as this was one of the best rare steaks I can find in the area! My server, Rebecca, was on top of everything. Water, hospitality, all the good stuff. Definitely went over fifteen percent on that tip! :) I'm very pleased with Chili's and will be returning in the future for all my rare steak needs. Thanks guys and gals! read more

Just left Chili's on Battlefield Blvd. Sat at bar, 2 of us ordered a meal each. Food was good. Service sucked!! We were the only ones in at the time, the server had zero personality. We even tried to strike up conversation. We ate, drank, paid. Asked to box up remainder. She gave us a box, had to ask for a bag & napkins. Why she had a chip on her shoulder is still a mystery. The only time she showed a personality is when she was hoping for a tip. We tipped her over 25%. Her service wasn't worth a penny. Hope Ms. J. Muck is reading my review - so that maybe she can learn how to deal with the public. Hope Chili's management is reading so that maybe they can give J. Muck classes. We don't go to Chili's expecting a grand dining experience, we go because we know what to expect and are in the mood for that flavor profile. I went to this one about 6-8 months ago and I got food poisoning from the chili. We wouldn't have gone back, but they remodeled recently. The man who was in charge of the remodel bought a TON if girl scout cookies from our troop, so I figured we would try it again. We went back and my kid's chicken crispers were so soggy that no one could eat them and my meal was cold. Ok, here it is a month later and my daughter begged to go, so we went. We waited about ten minutes for a glass of wine and kids soda- not a big deal, they were busy. The wine was probably a 4 ounce pour. I asked the waiter if it was supposed to be a half glass or if maybe the bartender didn't realize she only poured a half glass. He said it was supposed to be like that and not once for the rest of the meal ask me if I wanted another one, despite being finished with it before our dinner came- it took over half an hour to come out- seriously a kids meal and two tacos. Our food was fine, just what I expected. I ordered chicken tacos to go for my husband. He took one bite and literally spit it out. I tried it too and it was inedible. The salt was so thick it made my mouth tingle- it was like licking a salt rock. No exaggeration, it wasn't just too salty, it was inedible. They were $10 tacos, so its not like we are going to return them or ask for our money back or anything. We just aren't eating at that Chili's again EVER. read more

Second time eating here. The burgers are juicy but the margaritas are weak. If you sit at the bar you can get happy hour drink prices all day sun or 3-6 weekdays and after 9pm. The domestic bottled beer seemed pricey at $4.79 each but menu food prices reasonable. The waiters are not personable. They don't introduce themselves and seem to be annoyed you are there or rush you. My food was good but felt like I was looking for the waiter. When I saw him busy behind the bar I noticed him put his fingers in a tupperware bowl of red cherries pull one out and put it in someone's drink! Ewww. The music is good but no one is attentive if they did sit at the bar. The parking lot is dangerous so be careful pulling out. The restaurant appears dirty at the entrance too. I saw a dish towel on the floor that the hostess picked up and reused. Bathroom soap almost empty. If they could keep the restaurant clean and the workers cleaner I will return. read more

My husband and I along with another couple dined at this restaurant on 8/27/10. We arrived at the restaurant around 9PM and were promptly seated, we were excited because the place was surprisingly not packed for a Friday night. Unfortunately that's where our service seemed to stall out. We waited around twenty minutes for someone to come over and greet us and take our drink orders or get us started on some appetizers. Finally, one of our companions flagged down a passing server and asked her if anyone was even assigned to our area. The poor girl acted like she had no idea where she was or what she was doing but offered to take our drink orders. After another fifteen minutes with no drinks we flagged down another passing server who had no idea who our server was either but she offered to take our food orders and check on our drinks. Another ten minutes passed and our server finally showed up for the first time and brought us our drinks. At this point, we asked to speak to a manager and explained that we were unhappy with the service. He seemed very friendly but not at all apologetic and told us he would take care of the situation. Unfortunately, it seemed like it only made our service worse. We waited an hour before our food was finally brought out. When it was, our server brought out everyone's food but my husband's. He told us he would be "right back" with my husband's dinner. Because we were all starving by this point, my husband told us to begin our dinners with out him. It was obvious from the first bite that our dinners had been sitting out for a while. My fajitas, which are supposed to come to the table sizzling, were lukewarm. The chicken strips on our companions salad were ice cold like it had been sitting in the refrigerator after being cooked. We finally had to GO LOOKING for our server who had forgotten all about my husband's food, by this time we had all already finished our meals and my husband ended up taking his home in a to-go box. What should have been a 45 minute experience became a two hour ordeal and the food wasn't even worth it. After we hunted down our server once again for our bill, we requested a manager again. We explained our situation, again, to the manager who became rude and unprofessional. He was obviously annoyed that we were complaining and stated he would take 10% off of our bills. We explained to him that that was not good enough after the terrible service, the sub-par food and the fact that my husband had to sit and watch the three of us eat without ever receiving his own plate. The manager took 50% off of our bill, which we appreciated, but he was not apologetic for the terrible service and food and didn't seem to think that our situation was out of the ordinary at all. I was appalled by his lack of professionalism; even though we were obviously disgruntled, we remained polite and courteous. We have dined out at Chili's quite often and we have never gotten such terrible service before. In fact, I have never gotten such terrible service anywhere I've gone. We did leave a tip because we know it's not always completely the server's fault in situations like these but I have never been so tempted in my life not to leave SOMETHING. I think I'll find another Chili's in my area if I ever get the urge to go back but I think this experience has ensured that I will not be patronizing any of their establishments again. read more

Our local Chili's has not been here for very long, but I was very happy to see them open one in Great Bridge (Chesapeake). The staff, food & decor are all great. I especially love the half rack of ribs!!!!! My hubby loves to try different entrees each time we go and has been pleased with everything that he has tried thus far. read more

Chili's is a resteraunt you can go to for a month straight and not eat the same thing twice! From their delicious Southwest Eggrolls for an appetizer, or the Caribbean Salad, even their Monterey Chicken dinner. My husband and I went to the Chili's in Great Bridge and it was his first visit to a Chili's and we had the Chips and Salsa and the texas cheese fries. It was superb and for the main course my husband had the ribs,loaded mash and corn on the cobb and everything was outstanding. The service was above and beyond and we knew right away we would be back and we've been back a lot and we've taken friends and family and we have never left there disappointed. We've always been completely satisfied and can't wait until the next visit. Everything there is great and it is very hard to decide what we want because we know it's all great. I LOOOOVE me some Chili's...for ANY ocassion!!! :) My suggestion: Each time you go to Chili's, try something new. I've never had anything I didn't like. And there's so much to chose from, it's impossible to run out of options. Also, depending on your appetite and who you go with, consider splitting meals. Bottomless chips & salsa are a MUST every time you go. And to add some excitement & fun to your meal, I highly recommend Strawberry Lemonade and a Chocolate Chip Molten Cake for dessert. :) yummmm read more

Chilli's is a pretty good restuarant. I like the drinks. the chips are good too. I go there with my Grandma for lunch a lot. She likes the salads. I enjoy the chicken honey strips. they are really good. The salad and soup lunch combo is pretty good too. My friend and I are going there tonight for drinks. I think it will be fun. read more

Again gave them another try. Service was slow had to wait 20 minutes to get a beer. I guess the entitled kids who work here don't have time to do thier jobs. I have spoken to many people and they rarely has a good experience here. Its way to expensive to not be happy. Food was OK but not worth the price. read more

Very polite server but really slow service getting seated with wide open tables and getting drinks from the bar. Also, after placing our food order of simple requests, we waited for almost and hour for it to come out. Business is business but customer service comes first. A horrible experience not improved by the Asst General Manager taking over the table from the waiter. Walked in and informed the hostess we had a party of 6 and a high chair. As she was getting the menus together a family of 4 walked in where she asked them how many and proceeded to take them to a table and walking away from us. 2/3 of the restaurant was empty and it 12:30ish. I asked why she walked away from us where she said oh it was just easier to sit them. I informed her it was wife's birthday and said I would pay for dessert if they could sing or something. She led me to believe it would happen. 20 mins after being sat the waiter shows up to ask about drinks. Then 8 mins later he brought them. We were there so long the Asst General Manager and another waiter asked for our drink orders after the waiter. The waiter ignored us multiple times even when asking us how we were doing still did not listen for the answer. He sat the hot skillet of queso and many other items even after we requested he not do so directly in front of our 20 month old baby boy. We were there almost an hour before the kids got their food. Extremely slow service and seemed as though not managed properly. The Asst General Manager stated he would take care of everything on him, took over the service, and apologized then brought us the full bill to pay for all of it.
