The service here, or better said, lack thereof was terrible. I walked in Friday afternoon. There were 4' people working. There were a couple other ladies shopping. I had some questions about different clothing and jewelry. The four people that were working now have all disappeared. I walked in circles around the store, looking for someone to assist me. Honestly, I had never gone to Chico's before, but I went into an outlet in Carlsbad and loved their jewelry and tank tops. Their pants are amazing too. For the price they charge on the clothing and accessories, you should be getting much better service. I was considering starting to shop there, but I think they lost a customer. I will not go where I don't feel i am getting good service and appreciated for shopping in their store. Two stars because I did buy a bracelet and I love it. If I wanted that type of service, I would shop at Kohl's or JCPenney. I expected there, not in a bad way, it's just not the same experience when you're shopping in a high-end store. I am not sure why all the backlash. I personally love this store. It's much spacier and well lit then the other Chico's . Customer service has always been wonderful. A few problems with online and returns , but that is beyond the employees control and seems more like a corporate issue.The SA are really friendly. I have witnessed though super racist customers that complain a lot and like to return used items. It is not the sales associates fault . I mean I wouldn't want someone's used items that clearly look worn. The selection here never disappoints. I drive 20 miles to this location. Found all my Christmas outfits here. Chico's - Accessories Near Me - Seal Beach, California

I had a very unpleasant experience today in this store. I brought back an expensive (because most items from Chicos are fairly expensive) athleisure set which I had only worn twice. The fabric is very soft and luxurious, however it doesn't hold up at all and picks and snags very easily. In fact, some areas where you would cross your legs or feet become extremely snagged and pilled. The first sales associate who helped me required that I give a phone number before she could assist me even though I had the original receipt. Once she supposedly had my information, she said she needed to consult her manager who came over and said once an item has been worn, they can't exchange it. I said I understand, except that their product was not holding up like I normally expect from a Chicos item. She then said she didn't know what I did to the item, but that they couldn't do anything. When I reiterated that the quality of the set didn't meet up with Chicos standards, she quipped that I could call customer service. When I asked for the number she flippantly replied, "It's online." I said I'm sure it is, but would she please give it to me as I'm sure she had it right in front of her. Again she said it was online. When I asked her to take one more step than she seemed to be willing to take as a manager to get me the number, she finally wrote it down. Chicos is obviously not Nordstrom as far as policy or customer service and I don't expect them to be, but when their clothing doesn't hold up to normal wear, they should have a solution they can offer in store rather than defer to the impersonal and tedious process of seeking out "customer service." Or possibly it was just "Cindy" who was unwilling to offer a solution. I notice that many of the positive reviews come from husbands commenting for their wives which is another reason that this experience is so disappointing. My husband shops here regularly for most of my gifts (which should have been apparent once the pulled up the account), but he will have to go elsewhere due to this policy and the attitude of this particular manager who could offer no more assistance than her go to to avoid actual work, which is, "Call customer service." read more

I LOVE the store the ambience the clothes the bags and how they wrap your purchases in tissue paper and just LOVE the whole experience!!! Service is always Excellent always greeted and asked if I need help but even if I wasn't it wouldn't matter bcuz I like to be left alone and walk the store look at the clothing and do my thing so I'm good with that but NEVER had a rude or unpleasant experience everytime I go! I will continue to go there as my home store even though I have closer ones to me I just really like this one!!! So it will stay my favorite store and my go to!! read more

I've loved Chico's for over 25 years because of their fine clothes, discounts, coupons, and excellent customer service. However, that seems to have changed. I returned an item that was received on November 4 and was told my refund would be given within three weeks. I chatted at the end of three weeks with an online representative who'd told me I'd now have to wait until the end of the week. On Friday, still no refund so I called. (maybe a call center in the Philippines?) they put me off until the following week which I was very upset with. She transferred me to a supervisor who was also useless. Finally, the third person promised to refund the money immediately. (It took another 5 days to show up in my account however) but she did refund it. Basically they held my money for over a month. This is unacceptable in 2025 where Amazon can give an instantaneous refund! Highly unprofessional and very sad to see a company going down like this. read more

I walked away with a couple of items, with no help at all from any of the 3 employees working the floor. There was only one other customer in the store who was asked if she would like her items to be put in a room. I was standing close to her with a handful of items and never asked -- in fact and the employee looked right at me and turned her eyes in another direction! What an incredible difference with Customer Service compared to other Chicos I frequent. Where is their District or Regional Manager to get their employees trained? I got a hello, but that's it. There was one customer in front of me checking out. Her card was declined three times. I received no acknowledgement from the employee. By this time I had been standing at the counter for over five minutes. When I heard the employee tell the declined card customer "I will have to make a call," I kindly asked if she could open another register. She said "I will be with you in a minute." It was a simple yes or no answer. So that meant "no." Then as I waited, I approached an employee to ask her a question on how to wear a particular belt. Her answer was "you just put it around her waist." I was so puzzled by her kindergarten response I gently said "is that all you can tell me?" Without dragging this on, I was simply appalled by the poor customer service. I was so flustered by it that I called the store from my car to ask to speak to the District Manager and was told I would have to talk to the manager, Iliana. After being put on hold, I was asked to call Iliana back in five minutes. I guess the customer does not come first. The manager did call me back and I expressed my disappointment but she could care less because there was no apology. She simply gave me the number of the district manager. After reading some of these past reviews, it looks like poor service is a huge pattern with this location. Why drop $$$ at a place that could care less about you, the customer? I've had nothing but fine service when at Chicos. Iliana has taken my online purchase returns very graciously and helped me find the right size and style I'm looking for. The store is friendly and the items are very well presented. We lost our Marina del Rey store, so the alternative for me was Studio City of Seal Beach. I chose Seal Beach and am happy I did. Been there multiple times now. Straight down the 405 and easy and on to Seal Beach Blvd. Easy on and off the 405. Lots of parking. You will love Orange County. So clean. There are multiple places to eat and many other nice dress shops too. Give it a try, and you will be pleased. Sign up for emails. Yes, there will be very many. I don't have a Chico's store within driving distance of my home, so this review is strictly for online. I saw a sweater that would have been perfect for a Christmas party I would be attending in three weeks. I placed the order that evening and double checked to make certain the items were in stock. Everything looked fine and I ordered four sweaters in two different colors two different sizes as sometimes the fit is not always on target. A week later I checked the status to see when I could expect my order. Chico's expected to ship the items on December 12. Just super, the party was on December 13th. I called to complain and see if I could just stop the entire order because if they didn't get there on time and chances were it wouldn't be; I would have to look for a different top. Chicos couldn't stop the order and when asked why if the items were in stock they couldn't just ship them. It turns out the items weren't in stock and Chicos was scouring their stores to locate the items in the correct size. This is not the first time that Chico's has done this to me. In fact I quit ordering from them for awhile because it had happened to me twice before. Fortunately the sweaters arrived out of the blue BUT not before I had purchased several other tops and spent hours searching for them. I returned two of the sweaters for size issues and am now awaiting my refund. Ten business days is ridiculous you've had my return since December 15th and it's now December 30th. I've also noticed that there was no confirmation that my return was received and I had to track that down. Chicos just several suggestions. One: If you in fact do NOT have the merchandise readily available to ship out the next day don't say that you do. I see from prior reviews that I'm not alone in my estimation that this is probably one of the worst Chico's to shop at. What is it with the rude employees? I was there yesterday asking about a jacket (and not a cheap one at that) I could barely ask them anything before they would take off (not to help others mind you) just to talk to another employee. When I asked about another size she went to look and told me they didn't have it, no offer to assist with something else, or offer a different kind or color of jacket. Nothing. Zip. I'm not familiar with Chico's sizes so I was about to ask something when the woman I was talking to, turned and left me with half of my sentence left unsaid. I bought the jacket because I needed it but in different circumstances i would have left without getting it. If anyone in corporate is reading this you need to rethink your employee training. I'd be embarrassed to have employees like these working for me. More importantly, I'd be concerned about the negative fiscal impact your employees are generating. I, for one, do not intend to return to this location again and I live 5 minutes away. read more

Based on previous reviews, I was a bit skeptical about coming to this location although it is the closest store to where I live. I read about how people weren't greeted or helped. I have to say my experience was NOTHING like that. I was immediately greeted about 10 seconds after walking in. After about 2 mins of browsing, a young lady asked if she could start a fitting room for me. As I walked around and collected more items, she would take them back to my fitting rooms for me. Once I was ready to try on the clothes, I noticed my name written on a small white board on the top of the door with her name written underneath. This was to ensure customers were always addressed by name and other associates knew who was helping which customer. Lauren, the sales associate who helped me, checked on me several times and helped me find different sized clothes. I never felt ignored or neglected. And, quite frankly (at least for me), that makes you want to shop and purchase more. Lucky for me there was a 40% off your entire purchase going on, so not only was my shopping experience great, but I also got some good deals. As for their selection, I would say they primarily cater to the middle-aged woman, though I found some pieces that appealed to my "younger" nature. The clothing quality is very good. They have nice work and casual clothing. They even have UVB/UVA protection clothing. I would recommend anyone who might be a skeptic to visit this location and judge for yourself. The customer service here is just trash!!! Literally! Like why the attitude! Especially because there more of older people working there like come one it's for them to be mature! Basically I went in for an exchange and long story short one old lady working there attended me and was giving me all the attitude and she was like we don't have the shirt here, I can order it for you (keep in mind I said exchange in the beginning) I gave her my info and she tells me I ordered it for you, and I said I wanted to pick it up somewhere else where they had it and so then this lady told me she would have someone else help me because she got upset & in my head I was like yes please like I don't want to deal with you anymore. This brand has a lot of cute clothes but they seems to have problems training their clerks. The whole situation is complicated, but long story short, I bought two exactly the same blouses accidentally. One in store and one online. And because of different promotions, Each blouse cost $60 in store and $30 online. Therefore I took the one I bought in store back (the $60 one). The clerk messed up the receipts and my orders and was only willing to give me back $30. They insist that I was returning the one I bought online, not the one I bought in store. I ended up have to have spend a lot of time in the store dealing with it, while the clerk gives me the face and talks rude the whole time. They even take away my receipts and tell me that I cant return any other clothes that I have purchased anymore. Even though that I got my $60 refund back eventually and that I don't plan on returning any of the other clothes because I have been wearing them already, but it still doesn't make me feel good to be treated in a disrespectful way. I have always had great customer service at Chico's. Something has happened in the Seal Beach store. The last few times I've been in the store, I was hardly greeted, let alone asked if I needed any help. The employees were always so helpful in the past and that is what made Chico's a cut above. This review is for Chico's in general...not this particular store. I placed an online order yesterday morning using Chrome (the browser). Two of the three items I ordered were on sale...yesterday only apparently. I completed the order and was told I would receive a confirming email. I realized this morning that I did not receive a confirming email. I could not log into my account (using Chrome) this morning. Chatted online and was finally told to use another browser. I used Internet Explorer. I was able to log onto my account, and found that my order had not been completed after all. The items were still in my shopping cart. I called Chico's customer service. I was told two things: 1. Chrome and Firefox sometimes glitch, but usually work fine. 2. If I could show proof that the prices were less yesterday, then they would give me the sale price. Otherwise, they couldn't help me. He did not offer to place my order for me...apologize, or in any way appear concerned with my problem. What would you do? Maybe the person I was speaking to thought I was lying to get a better price? All they had to do was check their sales prices yesterday...and the date on my shopping cart. But that was obviously too much effort. I cancelled my order. I placed this review for two reasons: 1. Customer service is important, and 2. to warn Chico's online shoppers to double-check after placing an order if items are on sale. You can't trust Chico's online software. read more

I haven't yelped in awhile but here it goes . I stopped by the Seal Beach location the other evening looking for a nice button up for work / play . The First Lady pulled out some shirts , and was very helpful until the other sales lady pulled her. Away for the register. The other sales lady did ask if I needed help and then while I was telling her what I was looking for she actually started sweeping the floors !!! I just wanted to get my shirt and go . . As I was waiting for help a lady walking in was greeted , helped and told her name was on the dressing room door . She was in and out in less than a half hour. After that I just proceeded out the door. She actually did say good bye !! LOL !! I was taken back by how rude , unhelpful, and unprofessional she was . Looks similar to a lot of other reviews. Sad that in a day and age where retail stores are closing up everyday that they just don't care , or are simply busy being rude . Horrible customer service! Would not return a top with all tags still attached for store credit without a gift receipt. The manager told me I would have to call the person I received the gift from, tell them I didn't like the gift, and ask for a gift receipt! Unbelievable and Ridiculous! Very disappointed at this store today. My daughter and I walked in to the store in Seal Beach and no one even acknowledged us. We walked around the store for a good 15 to 20 mins and NO ONE even approached us to ask if we needed help. We were invisible for some reason. Yet, every white woman that walked in was greeted with a "Welcome" or a cheerful "Hello!" Or "Can I help you find anything?" I used to shop at this store a lot when I lived in Los Alamitos and I have never experienced this before. At one point during my short visit, I did hear someone say "Welcome to Chicos!" I thought she was welcoming me so I looked up to smile but I was mistaken. I was standing in front of the door so it was a greeting meant for another white lady who just walked in. Sigh! I wonder if I look different now that I live further away? Or is it the color of my skin or the clothes that I was wearing that indicated that I'm not "Chico's worthy". I sure hope not. Anyway, I don't think I will be shopping there ever again. They don't need my business anyway. read more
