I came her for lunch with my niece and loved it. In order to enjoy a meal here you have to be a huge fan of chicken salad--which I am! You can order your chicken salad as a sandwich on white bread or croissant or by itself with crackers. I ordered my chicken salad with crackers and it was delicious. I tried Olivia Old South and Jalapeño Holly. They were both delicious. I love the grape salad although it's an unusual combo. I really like that each meal come with the perfect bite size sugar cookie.

I really love a tasty chicken salad and I am always on the lookout to try a new version when out and about. Last time I was in town I had wanted to check this place out but didn't have enough time. While visiting again in April I got a chance to swing by. I was really excited to try but had seen their reviews so I went in with some uncertainty. Interior is really cute and decorative. Walked right up to order and with the help of the worker I decided to try the Fancy Nancy which features chicken salad, grapes and pecans. I asked for it on a croissant. I took it to go since I was alone and was excited to try it. When I got to Dads house, I opened up my lunch and tried a big bite. The chicken salad was good but there was barely any on the croissant. It appeared that whoever prepared my meal was extremely chintzy with the chicken salad and this lunch was not cheap. There was barely enough to finish the croissant with. To say the least, I was truly disappointed. I am used to having a full chicken salad sandwich and I have never experienced this lack of food. If I would have stayed to eat, I surely would have shown the manager. Anyway, I understand why the reviews are not glowing for this establishment.

    Garden salad

Had a garden salad. This is a "salad" place, right? The greens were wilted and yellow. In Florida I would expect fresh and good. See pic.

I have heard good things, let's check this place out! I pull into the parking lot to find cars wrapped around the building. I am tempted to leave but in that quick moment two cars have moved up so I get in line. I like that they have a sign before the sign with speaker so I have a moment to peruse the menu. I decide on sweet (Fancy Nancy) and spicy (Spicy Pimento Cheese). The young lady in the drive thru is quick, efficient and cheerful (not the norm lately so it is a nice change). The line goes very quick, I pay and am on my way in no time. The presentation in the box is even nice. The fancy Nancy was really good with big chunks of ,eat, grapes, apples and nuts. The spicy pimento cheese was YUMMY with just the right amount of kick. Big portions. You even get a sweet little cookie for dessert. I will be a return customer for sure.

Plenty of pay by app parking nearby with this restaurant on the back side of the square. Immediately greeted by the hostess. We sat at the dining tables, but there's a bar area available as well. Seating was a blend of upholstered couch and chairs and was quite comfortable. Only complaint was it was kind of gross with dried on food, crusty bits and stains so had to try and ignore that. Management needs to increase regularity of checking and cleaning. Our waiter was very helpful and attentive. Ordered a couple of the krispy chicken, which is gluten-free because they use a gf rice crispy cereal to coat it. It's a pretty generous meal consisting of 1 chicken breast, corn/bean succotash, cornbread and another side. We had potatoes and cheese grits. The chicken and cornbread were pretty good. Chicken was cooked well and it was nice to have something that resembled fried chicken but gf. All the rest of the accompaniments were meh. Also ordered the caprese salad. Caprese was as expected but with some pesto drizzled on top and this made for a nice addition. Not sure we would return, but enjoyed the overall ambiance and service.

We were seated and I looked at the menu wanting steak and even though it was early they didn't have any ( rib eye ) Yes it was on the menu but that was ok, instead I chose a Wam burger and fries. To be honest I wasn't impressed. I asked for medium rare and my burger came out well done. It was a bit flavorless to me and the fries weren't even hot nor crispy. The service was just ok and when we had gone the restaurant hadn't even been very busy. I may give Ivy on the Square another try if I have a good reason. We will see. I wonder what you think. Orders were entered incorrectly, and even after correcting them, they took my husband's plate twice. He had already finished his meal by the time they brought out the missing shrimp. The honey croissants were forgotten after we asked for them. They came out and looked like they were under baked. No one came by to apologize, nothing was adjusted on our bill, and no one checked in to see if we wanted dessert. We only came because we had a gift card, but I can confidently say we won't be returning. Very disappointing experience.

There are a few tables outside, right by the door. There are signs that make it clear they are non smoking tables. We decided to eat inside, were seated right away and our server came quickly. I would definitely go back again.

Tonight was "trivia night", which, while we didn't play, we did enjoy trying to guess the answers. Our grand daughter's face was a big "O" of amazement when realizing the upper tables were enjoying roasting their marshmallows at their table...when she was told they were making s'mores...she went nuts! She's so excited to get tableside s'mores! My wings were even better than they were last time since there was an addition of seasonings sprinkled on them along with the dill pickles, but unfortunately, our cheeseburger pizza suffered from not having enough mustard and ketchup base to it, the tomatoes were enormous chunks and so were red onions. It made it very difficult to eat without things falling all over your clothing since they were such huge chunks on top of the tiny pieces of pizza. My husband got the steak bomb sub, son got a pepperoni Stromboli, daughter in law got the Sharon's Brie burger, grand daughter the child's cheeseburger and fries. Our apps were the garlic knots, mild wings (10) and fried cheese curds with sriracha ranch dipping sauce. Everything was okay, except that it took forever for everything to come out, compared to our first visit. Even our s'mores seemed to take forever. The quickest part of the whole visit was the bill . The fella that waited on us the first time was on point. Not saying that the young lady waiting on us was rude or anything, but I think she was trying to do too many things at once and some things just fell by the wayside. Last visit we came in on a Saturday as well, but perhaps some people are just better at multitasking? I don't know. This time, our bill was over $200 with tip, but we still brought home food again. Not a lot compared to the last time, only 2 little pickle wings (I still can't get enough of those darn things!) and maybe 4 slices of pizza. My husband's loaded tots weren't to his liking, so there's something even for the dog tomorrow We may stay away for awhile and see if they manage to work out some kinks. If anything, the best rule is consistency. If the food preparation is not consistent every time you go to eat there, there's a problem. There should be NO deviation just because someone else is cooking it. All recipes should be the same. Twice we've ordered the same items and they've been different. I still recommend this place for great vibes, cocktails, food and the tableside s'mores. There's just nowhere else like it!

For starters, the cocktails. I ordered a spicy guava margarita which was super refreshing and delicious. It has a sweet but slight kick from the jalapeno and my rim was lined with Tajin. I really enjoyed this drink and would get again. For my late lunch, I went with the infamous District burger. This burger is huge! It comes with 2 quarter pound smashburgers, cheese, sweet heat pickles, garlic aioli, and caramelized onions. It was so good - I finally get to see what why it's a standout item. Every part of the burger compliments each other so well, from the juicy patties, the aioli, and sweet pickles. I ordered the chips as my side as I wanted to try them out and wow you can tell they are cooked in house. They're not greasy at all although I did have some burnt/darker chips in my batch. Overall, it was a great experience and service and I look forward to coming back to try out their brunch and other cocktails.
