I had gone this past week to Chicken Salad Chick it was convenient after my Dr's appointment. I've always passed this place but never thought to go in until my son had said that he had heard good things about the place! For a semi fast food restaurant it is healthier than others foods obviously but the fat in these foods is insane and there really aren't any low calorie, low fat meal alternatives so this does baffle me when they quote healthy. I guess this depends on what you are looking for. Aside from this they do have wonderful fresh chicken salad and they serve you a nice plate that is quite enjoyable. They offer delicious sides, soups and desserts! It's very clean, you order at the counter then sit to eat. It's a very simple process but they seem to get pretty busy fast although this didn't seem to cause any issues as everything was managed smoothly. The whole concept the way it was run reminded me of Chick-fil-A but much better food and options. It's even closed on Sunday! I had a scoop of chicken salad, broccoli salad on the side with a pickle . What I enjoyed is that it there were a dozen different flavors of chicken salad ! This is a fun thing, you can try more than one and if you want to be adventurous you can try them all or take home a bunch and have a chicken salad party ! Seriously though there is something for everyone. I had the "Cranberry Kelli" which is sweet cranberries, slivered almonds blended and balanced perfectly. A favorite plate is the trio where you get 3 scoops of 3 different salads or the same or egg/pimento cheese on a bed of lettuce, or as a sandwich, a cup of soup, a pickle and a cookie. Some of the desserts looked delicious too! I wish that there was more than soda and water I was supposed that there wasn't even a cup of coffee. After a visit to the Ocala VA Facility, my wife and I decided to try out Chicken Salad Chick for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon. We've always been intrigued by it when we see their billboard along Hwy 200, so this day was the day we'd try it. We walked in a clean and inviting space, proceeded to the counter to peruse their menu and placed our order. My wife, as a tribute to her late mom who loved chicken salad sandwiches with apples and pecans she would order from a local grocery store, opted for the Fancy Nancy on a croissant. As a side, she chose the potato chips. I was eying the jalapeño chicken but after asking the lady behind the counter what their best seller is, I pivoted and ordered the same sandwich as my wife but I had the Poblano Chicken soup as a side. The chicken salad tasted fresh with some sweetness imparted by the grapes. I thought it would've been better if I had bacon in it for some saltiness. The soup was tasty! I came her for lunch with my niece and loved it. In order to enjoy a meal here you have to be a huge fan of chicken salad--which I am! You can order your chicken salad as a sandwich on white bread or croissant or by itself with crackers. I ordered my chicken salad with crackers and it was delicious. I tried Olivia Old South and Jalapeño Holly. They were both delicious. I love the grape salad although it's an unusual combo. Will never go back, they ask me three times what side I wanted. It's was the grape salad. They wrote on the ticket pasta salad, when she handed it to me she said grape salad. So I never checked. Called to complain and they said I got my correct order. My Lauren's had no pecans and the portions are way smaller. Will post on our community page how disappointed I am with them. OMG. It's April 1st, and we made an online order for the birthday of my 87-year-old mother-in-law to be delivered at her job. I kept getting a message about unable to verify basket or something like that on the website. However, I received an email and a text that told me the order was received and accepted. Evidently there was a problem with the online ordering system and the order was rejected. I called the store and spoke to Savannah. She advised me to order directly through the Doordash app. Unfortunately, the doordash app is not compatible with my very old phone. Ultimately, Savannah called me back and we were able to accomplish the order for my mother-in-law's birthday to be delivered by her lunch time. Savannah went above and beyond and was so kind, apologetic, and helpful to resolve the situation. My mother-in-law received her meal and was BEYOND happy. She absolutely loves Chicken Salad Chick! I really love a tasty chicken salad and I am always on the lookout to try a new version when out and about. Last time I was in town I had wanted to check this place out but didn't have enough time. While visiting again in April I got a chance to swing by. I was really excited to try but had seen their reviews so I went in with some uncertainty. Interior is really cute and decorative. Walked right up to order and with the help of the worker I decided to try the Fancy Nancy which features chicken salad, grapes and pecans. I asked for it on a croissant. I took it to go since I was alone and was excited to try it. When I got to Dads house, I opened up my lunch and tried a big bite. The chicken salad was good but there was barely any on the croissant. It appeared that whoever prepared my meal was extremely chintzy with the chicken salad and this lunch was not cheap. There was barely enough to finish the croissant with. To say the least, I was truly disappointed. I am used to having a full chicken salad sandwich and I have never experienced this lack of food. I have been coming to this location on ST Road 200 in Ocala weekly for over a year now and have had nothing but positive experience. Today however was a very different story. I was dining with my husband and special needs daughter. I purchased a kids meal for my daughter with the included fountain drink. As I was refilling her drink a gentleman came over to me and all but accused me of stealing drinks apparently the cup that comes with a kids meal is the same as a water cup. I have heard good things, let's check this place out! I pull into the parking lot to find cars wrapped around the building. I am tempted to leave but in that quick moment two cars have moved up so I get in line. I like that they have a sign before the sign with speaker so I have a moment to peruse the menu. I decide on sweet (Fancy Nancy) and spicy (Spicy Pimento Cheese). The young lady in the drive thru is quick, efficient and cheerful (not the norm lately so it is a nice change). The line goes very quick, I pay and am on my way in no time. The presentation in the box is even nice. The fancy Nancy was really good with big chunks of ,eat, grapes, apples and nuts. The spicy pimento cheese was YUMMY with just the right amount of kick. Big portions. You even get a sweet little cookie for dessert. I will be a return customer for sure. read more

I went through the drive thru for lunch here because I wanted a healthy quick option. I decided to try the Jalapeño chicken salad on a croissant with a side of tortilla soup. I got my food very fast! The soup was flavorful but by the time I got home the tortilla strips were mushy and the sour cream was clumped which ruined the texture. I wish they would pack those 2 things separately so you can add it to the soup right before eating it. The chicken salad was good but I didn't taste any jalapeño and the sandwich had more lettuce than chicken salad spread on it unfortunately. Went with a friend today, and both of us said it was the first and probably the last time! Several years ago I went to the one in The Villages and was very disappointed in the quality, quality, service and menu prices and never felt the need to repeat the experience! But, wow things don't change! First there are no menus available while you are inline, you can download it but that isn't posted until you are almost to the register where you order. I ordered the Cranberry Kelli which was suppose to have cranberry and almonds, asked what the sides were as the glare on the glass over the menu board made it hard to read, asked if a salad was included in sides, was told yes but they only had Caesar at that time, I said it was fine, ordered the smaller of the drinks and was told $14+! Asked how an $8.99 sandwich combo and drink came to that much....the ittsy bitsy salad was a $2 up charge! I asked why she hadn't advised that and and she got fairly snotty, saying I didn't ask! Knowing there were 20 people behind me I said to leave it as it was but recommended she start to advise the guests... never an apology but as near almost. When our meals were delivered I asked the woman if she was the manager and she said yes, and I expressed my concern and also said it was a very small salad for an up charge. She said it was premium because of the cheese and bacon, who puts bacon on a Caesar Salad? (Brought it home, no bacon!) . Horrible service! My mother and I came here to lunch. The guy took our order. We each ordered a scoop. This is my mom's first time here. The scoops came on 1 plate. I asked for another so my mother and I could eat comfortably. They would not give us another plate. It's their policy. WHAT?! Two people have to eat off of one plate??? What kind of establishment is this? Tanner (General Manager) was worthless and condescending. I told him to refund me if he won't give another plate. He said it's already been "rung in" so he can't. I didn't know that you could specialize in making just chicken salad. I was intrigued when we ordered from this place for a group lunch. I got the Fancy Nancy, which was good, not too heavy or creamy tasting. Perfect if you want a light lunch and don't want to go heavy on the carbs. Wow. I arrived to eat lunch with a friend this last Friday and I am amazed at the quality food, excellent customer service and pricing! I was despairing ever eating a meal under $12! From the moment that I ordered and had Melody as my cashier (whom checked on me frequently AFTER I got my order...as did most of the staff and, I believe, the manager) to the moment I left, this was amazing. I'm thinking that the staff got their training at Disney University? LOL I live in Crystal River but this place is WORTH my drive...especially since I frequent the nearby Regal theater. I had the Fancy Fran and I've had other chicken salads at other Chicken Salad Chicks so I LOVE this chain. I love the grape salad too and there's lots of gluten-free options that I enjoyed. I had wateremelon tea and that was outstanding too! BUT I haven't received the level of service that I've received before...NOT even at the 5 Star restaurants that I frequent. Everything was sparkling clean too as the staff clears while you are eating and they wipe off the tables after the customer leaves. REALLY impressed! GREAT job! The food is good, but tremendously overpriced. EIGHT DOLLARS for a four ounce scoop of chicken salad with no sides and no drink is a little excessive in my opinion. When I have purchased an entire meal, the amount of food and the calorie and sodium counts are enough to make you feel sick.
