I walked in and got greeted by people who actually seemed happy to be there, which caught me off guard in a good way. Got seated and served almost immediately. My waitress was on top of everything without hovering once. Ambiance was old school country diner. I really love those! Black coffee first, which for me is the real test of a breakfast place. It was excellent. Hot, bold, and clearly fresh, not something that had been sitting on a burner since five. I went with the Western omelet with hashbrowns and toast. The omelet was packed and cooked right, and the hashbrowns had that golden crunch you're hoping for and don't always get. You can tell they're not cutting corners on ingredients. Our waiter/server was absolutely amazing. His name was Dale and he was on his A-game. That man went above and beyond in every way possible. So lets recap here ok. The food was absolutely splendid and the service from Dale (our server and waiter) was above and beyond in everyway. A simple shout out to the Red Lobster in Cartersville, Georgia, THANK YOU for turning an awkward almost uncomfortable dinner into one hec of an awesome evening where the love, support and togetherness of family truly rose above any other issues whatsoever. I do not want more restaurants with bland chicken and a special sauce. Just stop with the sauce, season the bird! I went in, ordered at the counter, sat down and waited about ten minutes for my order. The chicken was a little overcooked and could use some seasoning. The crinkle fries were crisp but just were not hitting and I like the crinkle style. The toast was properly cooked but was limp. Ok Guthries is a known tradition, people like, but it is not for me.
