Well ok here we go, my current wifes, previous inlaws took us all to dinner tonight. Me, my wife our two sons and their families. Middle son Warner and his wife and daughter, (Warner, Ashley, Kairee) and the youngest Son (Justin, wife Erin, kidds Dawson and Lainey) and of course Alicias former inlaws AL & Maxine so when you ad Alicia and I that makes 11 of us. They were all family by blood and me, I just entered the family after Alicias first husband died from colon cancer and her and I fell in love at first sight. Ok back drop finished. We all met at Red Lobster in Cartersville,.Georgia where Maxine and AL were buying dinner for all of us, yes even me. Ok so lets discuss the menu and the food. The menu is kinda new and its really awesome. Its absolutely packed with all kinds of choices that are simply SPOT ON FOR A SEAFOOD RESTAURANT. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. Our waiter/server was absolutely amazing. His name was Dale and he was on his A-game. That man went above and beyond in every way possible. So lets recap here ok. The food was absolutely splendid and the service from Dale (our server and waiter) was above and beyond in everyway. on August 15,2025 I visited the Cobb Parkway location, I was greeted with a smile by Austin, take out order, he made sure that they had the fish I wanted along with the shrimp scampi, bake potatoe and salad. Vince the manager was super amazing and funny, he was a caring , made sure I was taking care of even gave me a $5 coupon, because of my bad experience I had on last Sunday at the East West connector location, my order was brought to by another nice server by the name of Justic super nice as well. Greeter was very friendly and prompt. Server was very slow to come to the Table. Tried to order flavored sweet tea to be told that they quit doing that a long time ago ( however it's still on the menu). Ordered Mahi then server laughed and said sorry we are out of that also. I asked out of all Mahi and he said yes. For a manager to allow store to run out of a staple food is unacceptable. Anyway, I did not find it as Funny as he did also the Server (Dustin) was Rude to to my wife as well when she asked a question about the menu. I choose to spend my money elsewhere. Came here Sunday (Dec 10, 2023) around 2pm. Place was moderately busy but we were seated immediately. Our server came up also immediately, her name was Tyra (hope I spelled that correctly) and she was very professional, polite and efficient. She took our drink order, my friend ordered some kind of chocolate martini and I had apparently a seasonal "old fashioned " if I remember correctly. The chocolaty martini was good, my friend enjoyed it; I tried a sip and it was good, different but good. My "old fashioned" (I wish I had taken pics so I apologize if it was not the drink I thought it was!) was good, a little sweeter than I thought with some "christmassy" ornamentation and I'm thinking a cinnamon or chicory stick(?), again not complaining just not what I expected but still tasty! Tyra brought us some water and the obligatory wonderful biscuits which were awesome and warm! We ordered an appetizer of the Crispy Dragon shrimp, which was indeed crispy, had a great spicy/sweet flavor, and cooked perfect. For our entrees, my friend had the Sesame Soy Salmon Bowl which came out exactly as pictured and she really enjoyed it. The salmon was fresh and good and the Brussels sprouts and spring mix veggies looked and tasted just like the menu pictured. I ordered the fish and chips plate (I know, boring BUT I was just craving any kind of fish and this met that need! The fish is a battered cod, and it was cooked nicely, the batter had a good flavor, the fries were better than many places that actually specialize in fries! The cole slaw was also surprisingly good. The food, the service and the overall cleanliness of the place earned the 5-star review. I also want to again thank our server Tyra, she was exemplary and made the experience much better. I came here last night for the first time and was pretty impressed. The majority of reviews posted were negative but that didn't stop me. You must try it for yourself then decide. The Manager sat my husband and I within 5 min. The waiter was a very sweet lady who was attentive and the food was great. Calamari as a starter was delish. The Sangria was good, I had unlimited Shrimp and I enjoyed it, my husband had the 1.5 lb crabs legs and he loved them. Overall was a great experience and I will return. Please keep in mind when looking at reviews. A lot of people jump on yelp when they have one negative experience and then just post that negative review, when you look at their account the have 1 review and are not true yelpers. Well, this was just a disappointment after having such great service at last night's restaurant choice, but we were on the road traveling back home and just wanted a quick sit down lunch. We arrived at about 2pm, after the big lunch rush and found the place fairly empty, maybe 5 tables all sat in the bar area. We were seated by the manager on duty and it took forever for or waiter to come ask for our drink order. I had a couple questions about the menu but I was never able to get them out before he would literally run off and take forever to return. Once I could ask a question I could only get out 1 at a time, seriously, I only had 2 questions, before he disappeared and took 5 mins to show back up. As far as I could tell he only had us and the booth behind us as his assigned tables. Our "quick lunch" didn't seem to be going well. The food was standard, I got endless shrimp which is certainly endless when your waiter never returns, but I enjoyed it. My friend got some sort of shrimp pasta that she said was bland and not very good. Our salads...well she asked to add shrimp and no onions bc she has an allergy. I got no onions...she did... Drinks where never refilled, and we only had water. That manager on duty who seated us hustled past us faster than the waiter to avoid any of our concerns. The food runner who brought our food said the server would check on us but we never saw him from the time he dropped off the wrong salads until we were done eating and he was bringing the bill. I asked if I could get another serving of my endless shrimp, my friend tried to order the dessert that came with her meal...but too late, he'd run off so she had to wait until he returned with the shrimp. Ugh. Upon reviewing the bill we noticed that we were charged for 2 sweet teas $5, which we did not order, nor did we drink...recall I said we never even got refills on our water!! He dropped the dessert and ran away ignoring my friend trying to ask about the bill. Then finally a new manager came on shift saw we were trying to get the waiters attention and came to help. We asked for the bill to be updated to remove the sweet teas. She asked how everything else was, we weren't going to saw anything but she asked, so my friend asked if yhe waiter might be new. We were hoping maybe ge just needed some training. Unfortunately he wasn't new and we discussed our visit with this manager. She was nice, I felt bad for her but she did take the time to speak with us. We taked for 5--10 mins before waiter finally showed up to collect our bill but she told him she was handling it. When she returned she'd taken off not only the sweet teas but comp'd my friends meal. That was very kind of her, we didn't ask for that nor was it expected. We've both worked in food service and aren't out to get a free meal...however it is only because of this manager's actions and polite personality that I am giving 2 stars...for the sake of this place I hope they have more ppl like her!!! read more

I am not usually a Red Lobster fan but it's one of my mom's favorite restaurants. So, for her 94th birthday today, we took her to this Red Lobster for a birthday lunch. There were 6 of us, total. We did a "call-ahead" reservation for a table with chairs, not a booth. We got there and the hostess had exactly what we asked for in a nice location; she was helpful and friendly. The server, Lottie, came and took our drink orders. Even though two of our group was half an hour late, Lottie was friendly and prompt with everything. We ordered our food - we received all the orders correctly - and they were all very tasty and exactly what we all wanted. Lottie didn't bat an eye when I asked if she'd take a picture of our group - and she took a very nice picture for my mom to cherish. Dessert was delicious. My mom got a birthday dessert, the servers came out and talked to her and made her feel special (this is important - so many people won't talk to an "old" person - a lot of times, they look past her and just talk to me - but these people were great with her). They sang Happy Birthday and even gave her a birthday card signed by today's staff. Everyone that worked there made us feel like we were the most important people in the restaurant. I'm giving two stars because the good waitress rescued them from zero stars. I went to Red Lobster Saturday night (9-20-18) specifically to see what a Red Lobster lobster roll would really look like. After all the new tempting commercials, an experienced foodie like me had to give it a try. All I can say is, Red Lobster has truly embarrassed themselves with this campaign. Don't they realize that people who have had lobster rolls will be the most likely order lobster rolls? With a name like "Petite Lobster Roll" on the appetizer list, of course I wasn't expecting the feast for the gods, but what I did get was truly a waste of their good advertisement money, and a bigger waste of my dining dollars. When my lobster roll came out, it was probably about 2 tablespoons lobster, way overcooked and sprinkled on a possibly toasted (hardly noticeable) bun. Yes, I said "tablespoons", because I don't think it could have been measured in ounces. I had it sent back for being so overcooked and basically like hard plastic. The replacement was almost as overcooked and still didn't really taste like it was completely lobster. It tasted like about 1 dollar worth of lobster and 2 dollars worth of some kind of fish. Red Lobster. Get your stuff together! People who have had lobster rolls want lobster rolls! This ain't it! You get what you pay for, and lobster is a premium. We all get that. And, we seriously don't mind paying for a good lobster roll. Red lobster, you've got to figure it out, or give it up! It feels like a rip off when a place with "lobster" in it's name can't even figure it out. read more

I ordered the live lobster and it was so mushy I couldn't eat it. It really was a bad experience with the lobster. I told my waitress and she said the cook was new. I ask for something else and she said it would be about an hour. I left very disappointed. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years now I'm now looking to go back. Red Lobster used to be my go to place way back when. The last time that I have been to this Red Lobster was 2008 when my Son graduated from High School, it was his choice. It was bad then but not as bad as I experienced march 8, 2019. We normally hang out at a friend, relative on Friday nights but I decided to do a date night with my wife instead because I had gotten a Red Lobster gift card for Christmas. Friend PLEASE do not ever get me another gift card from RED LOBSTER PLEASE!!!!!!!! Or anyone else. My service was fantastic but when I got my food, It was a real disappointment. I had ordered the Admirals Platter, my wife ordered fried shrimp. Long story short is we both got a doggie bag because of the quality of the food, thinking that my cat would like Fish and Shrimp. It was sorta like Stretch Armstrong if anyone remembers that far back. The fish and shrimp were like rubber. I brought it home and chopped up to give to my cat and Ray Charles = name wouldn't touch it. I told my wife that ifwe had of went to Captain D's we could have had better food and she agreed! Evidently, I chose a bad night or the food is bad in general. Just my experience. Go check it out for yourself and spend $100. This would be GREAT to review you if you didnt make it so hard to do so. I usually highly enjoy the Red Lobster experience. This trip was not up to par. We were a large group with several children in tow and we were not greeted very enthusiastically from the get-go. The hostess seemed highly annoyed that we had a group of 9, 4 of which were kids. They took their sweet time finding a table to accommodate us even though the restaurant was not busy. Even though we clearly had children dining with us they decided to place our group directly in the bar area by pulling 4 tables together. Now I enjoy adult beverages, don't get me wrong, but I'd rather not have my children essentially sitting at the bar. Once we were seated, the waitstaff proceeded to argue over who was going to be "stuck" with our table. We could actually see and hear them from our table since the terminal was only 5 feet from where we were. Finally they worked out which two servers were going to have to suck it up and they took our drink order. 20 minutes have now passed and we have no drinks, and no one has taken our food orders even though we can see the wait staff just milling around outside the kitchen door. 40 minutes in and we are finally getting salads to the table. 60 minutes and our entrees finally arrive. In this hour we have only had one person check back with us to make sure we had drinks and to clear salad plates. We had no biscuits and our cups were empty for probably 15 minutes. Now, I understand it is not easy to tend to a table of 9 people, especially when they have children who are going to be needing refills and crayons and extras like ketchup and honey mustard. Because I understand this and feel guilty for plaguing the general public with such a party I compensate in tipping. Typically a trip like this would have garnered a 30% tip. More if they really take it in stride and impress me. Does the server know this going in? Probably not. Does that mean we don't deserve good service. Absolutely not. Not only did the service team miss out on a hefty tip, but they missed out on upselling as we decided to head next door to a different restaraunt to have desserts and drinks. I am sure a smaller group would have had a better meal, but be warned that larger groups don't appear to be very welcome at this location. read more

Took my Mom for a treat because RL is her favorite restaurant of all time. Unfortunately our experience at this location was just terrible in all aspects and ruined the evening. Upon entry, the place just had an unclean smell. Sour carpet? We waited for 40 minutes for a table and another 40 minutes AFTER our appetizers for our meals. Nothing could be described as "hot" and everything sat on a plate was served in puddles of grease. Save the money and go to Long John Silver.
