Celebrated my birthday at Angry Crab Shack with my husband and kids, and it was truly an experience to remember. We ordered the Neighborhood Block Party seafood boil, and let me just say, it was superb. Growing up with a mom from New Orleans and spending summers there, I know good seafood, and this absolutely delivered. The flavors were bold, perfectly seasoned, and every bite was delicious. We also tried the appetizer sampler with Cajun fried pickles, onion rings, and calamari, everything was crispy, flavorful, and a perfect start to the meal. For dessert, we went all out from brownie with ice cream, cheesecake, but the real showstopper was the fried cornbread ice cream. Oh my goodness... it tasted just like a churro and was the perfect sweet ending! What made the night even more special was the service. The owner and her nephew were so warm and welcoming, it felt like we were dining with family. This was the perfect birthday celebration, and we will definitely be back! read more

I had my first boil ever tonight!! It was absolutely FABULOUS!! I am ready to go back and have another one, but I want to try just the Garlic, Butter and Lemon Pepper. I've been going to The Juicy Crab for years for my seafood boils, but recently I came across Angry Crab Shack. I'm a little mixed on this place, but when the crawfish are in season and live, it's absolutely amazing! The first few times we had it, the crawfish were large, flavorful, fatty, and just really great quality. Unfortunately, I did try them recently now that they're out of season, and they were tiny, soft, and not the best. That said, I highly recommend coming here when crawfish is in season, it makes all the difference. My go-to order is a pound of live crawfish and half a pound of shrimp (head-on), with garlic and lemon pepper seasoning, plus a side of their hot sauce for dipping, perfection! I can't really speak to the dine-in service since I've only done takeout, but the staff has always been very friendly. I'm definitely excited to try more dishes here once crawfish season is back. As far as the ambiance, it just a simple crab shack place. It seems like it would be a fun place to dine in! They also have various specials going on. read more

The margaritas are good. The restrooms were clean. The restaurants were clean. Customer Service was OK. Great lunch and drink specials That trifecta sauce is overpowering. It taste like they put too much paprika or something. The celery salt in the beans and rice should never be a match. So myself and three girlfriends had lunch here today. I will start with the good. The food was very good, cooked perfect, and tasty. I had the lunch menu popcorn shrimp and onion rings, both were very good. My friends had the fish and chips, fried shrimp basket and Caesar salad with friend shrimp. All good except the salad had way too much salad dressing and was served in a bowl so small, it was impossible to eat without it spilling out on the table. The place is very clean and airy. The service was so so. I asked for 1/2 and 1/2 sweet tea to unsweetened tea. I got sweet tea. I had to ask for a refill and asked for unsweetened tea, got sweet tea! We had to ask for silverware. We asked for sauce and instead of going and grabbing it first, she waited on a table so we were left waiting to eat our food. The bad.....we were the only ones in the restaurant when we ordered at 12:10 pm, our food did not come out until 12:40-12:45 and it came out piece meal. Fried food cooks quickly, how could it take 30 minutes? Bottom line, food is good, but don't go there if you are in a hurry or on your lunch break. Too slow. read more

Ordered pickup. This location had only been open for about a week. This is the same concept as Juicy Crab and all the other boil seafood places that are open. While calling over the phone, it is pretty loud in the background and hard to hear. But we did order a shrimp boil plain with our sauce on the side. She repeated it back to us just to make sure. When we went to pick it up, they had boiled it in the sauce, and therefore, a person in our party was not able to eat the shrimp. My husband however, was able to eat the shrimp. We ordered the mild flavor and he said that it was still pretty spicy. Might just try the garlic only next time. This is a new restaurant, and will make sure to and visit here in a few weeks when they get the kinks worked out. I will make a note to come back and edit this review if necessary. read more

We were a large party of 10. Everyone had a blast and absolutely enjoyed our meals. We were served in a timely manner although they were extremely busy. We loved the interior and the fact the kids could check out the crabs and lobsters in the tanks. Lots of fun and excitement when our server took the kiddos to see them out of the tank. We had a blast as a family and could not have had a better meal that night. Thank you to the staff for making memories with us. Great food and very friendly service. My son and I split the shack trio and added some coleslaw and cornbread and sweet potato fries to compete the meal. Everything was hot and flavored perfectly. Manager stopped by and chatted with us also which added to a great finish. Prices are fair for good seafood so don't shy away from paying for the quality they are providing. I stopped by after work and placed a to go order, there was a bit of confusion with the gentleman on the phone taking my order he didn't seem to be very knowledgeable and it was a bit confusing but the manager did come on the phone to clarify and made everything right. I'm going to say for a person that's a lover of seafood and is very particular with the freshness and the sauce it was divine. And I'm so happy that it's conveniently located close to my home so I won't be making too many trips to Pirates broil. Please be mindful of negative reviews it's fairly new and it takes some time for them to iron out a few little kinks, but overall 4 stars read more

Service was non-existent. We walked out. Plenty of folks working there. Each talking to each other, fixing drinks for themselves, etc. We were seated just after the couple that walked in, in front of us. That couple, 2 tables over, had drink orders and meal order taken in no time. 20 mins later, we still hadn't talked to anyone. Multiple servers looked at and walked by us. None offered to take out orders or ask if anyone had waited on us. If your service is bad, I already know what your food is like. Wouldn't even think about giving this place a second look. read more

I came in for lunch at noon and was only customer. It took over 5 minutes for anyone to meet my group. The loud rap music and the indecision of the wait staff made even getting a drink a major ordeal. Our waiter was very friendly, however was very slow and not prompt at all. I came for a soft crab sandwich which is on your corporate menu but not served at this location. Same for gator bites, not at this location. I got a cod sandwich which was lousy. Very soft pieces and small with a lot of bread. Definitely wouldn't buy again. It's a waste of your money to eat here until this restaurant figures out service and quality food. I will try again in future, but a long time from now after they figure it out hopefully. read more

Ate at the Angry Crab last night. Got seated right away. Our server G explained the menu to us, took our drink, and food order. Brought us the utensil and that was the last we saw him. Food took awhile to come out but was very good. Our food however was suppose to have sausage in it and that was missing. Asked another waitress if she could get us the sausage. G never stopped by to ask if we needed anything: drinks, or anything. Oh by the way, they charge you $1.50 for a small melted butter. I like to dip some of my seafood in butter so to me that was ridiculous. The bill came and an automatic 20% was added. We requested that be taken off and we would provide the tip. As we had poor service and some items of our meal was missing, we still gave a generous tip but not what they wanted. read more

Service wasn't friendly. If you order home they will try to kill you with how spicy it gets until your tongue burn to hell. It was awful first time experience. I ended up tossing my food. Really disappointed to have sat outside and waited for no less than 30 mins. We were third on the list. one party ahead of us was sat. The other was sat after 20 mins. No acknowledgement and no apology for the wait. Friday night and four tables had patrons. Five tables had dirty dishes. and as much as I'd like to credit a hustle for an understaffed and likely underappreciated team, there was no hustle. I went with my family the weekend the restaurant opened, and we enjoyed our dinner. For appetizers, we ordered charred oysters and fried pickles. which were good. We ordered 4 boils, with the trifecta sauce and different heat levels. At first glance, I thought my boil bag didn't have enough trifecta sauce, however I was wrong, and my shrimp and crab had great flavor. The Angry Ghost, believe this is level 4, is pretty spicy! My mom ordered a shrimp bowl over noodles which came with a side of garlic butter. The garlic butter, however, didn't taste like it had much or any garlic. We ended up giving her some of our trifecta sauce to give her bowl some flavor. Our server had great energy and was attentive. Our food did take a while to come out, however we understood that they had just opened. Overall, our experience was good, and we will be back. read more

The location and environment is great. The food is horrible. Lacks taste/seasoning. I had the garlic crab boil and couldn't taste any garlic. Because of that I didn't eat my meal. My mom had the fish and chips which was the best thing we ordered it just lacked salt. For desert we had the brownie. It was disgusting. It was mushy. I was looking for a good seafood spot on the acworth side because sometimes barett pkwy can get crowded. I will say juicy crab is way better the food is seasoned and so is the sauces. Ordered for pickup on second day of opening. The food was good and was done in a timely manner. The restaurant was a little chaotic due to only having been opened for only 2 days. Was overstaffed at the time but can be easily explained because of trying to get people trained and having little time to actually getting employees for the different shifts trained at the same time. Service was good but everyone hasn't gotten the routines down, It was an energized staff and a restaurant serving quality seafood in the area was needed for a long time. This is the worst seafood boil I have ever been to. They're food is overpriced and I would recommend Pirates Boil before this place. I ordered the Catfish basket and it's comes with 1 good size catfish over a bed of fries and one side of your choice. my biggest complaint with the catfish basket is that the cook is horrible and didn't season my catfish at all. Warning if you like fried catfish with zero seasoning and fried in cornmeal then this is the dish for you. However, I have tastebuds and like to taste something when I'm paying for it. Even my 9 year old didn't like the catfish and that's his favorite thing in the world. Please do better and season your catfish as I will never order this again from your restaurant. Now my only complaint is in regards to your seafood boil is you're overcooking the shrimp. It cooks fast the shrimp was overcooked and chewy. Also for the people who like the corn, potato or sausage in your boil you have to pay extra for it. Typically most restaurants give you this in your boil. I paid 18.00 just for 1lb of shrimp then I have to pay 1.00 for one potato and 1.50 for one corn. The seasoning for the boil isn't the best and I have had better please replace the cook because they don't know how to cook or season your food well. This will be my last and only dining experience at your restaurant as I have wasted 35.00!! read more
