I felt very lucky that I stopped by Chicken N More while visiting Spokane. Honestly loved it so much I just wished I live closer. The place is super small and cozy, with that comforting local feeling right when you walk in. I had the ribs and chicken tenders, and fries. The ribs were just... ridiculously good, especially for the price. Probably some of the cheapest I've had in Spokane, but still incredibly tender, juicy, and full of flavors. Chicken tenders were also amazing, crispy outside, juicy inside, and perfectly seasoned. Even the fries were addictive. I kept eating more even after I was already full. I really wanted to try more of the menu but just couldn't have another bite because I was too full. Definitely one of those places I'd happily come back to every time I'm in town. read more

The service here is great, the two men working were very friendly and helpful with the menu. There is a good amount of seating inside with an old time wooden interior. You might miss this place as you walk by, but it is a great go to for to go food. I grabbed lunch on the run, and they were quick. The brisket is fantastic! I got the slaw and greens as sides. Both were very good. Beyond the food, though, the man behind the counter taking and delivering my order was excellent at customer service. Customer service!!! Granted I called during lunch hour but the granddaughter of the owner put me on hold and helped the customers in house. That's fine but I waited 20 minutes and could hear her not helping anyone for some time. Least she could have done was come back on the phone and get my order since I only have a 30-minute lunch. Had to hang up coz she could not even hear I kept saying hello during that 20 minute wait. Then I called again an hour after to place an order and wanted to make sure she knew I was the person who she placed on hold and never gotten back to but she didn't care like it was a bother that I even called back to place a phone order for a very late lunch since I used up my lunch time on hold waiting to place an order. The sides I ordered were the green beans and the greens/ red beans and rice combo(not on the menu). The prices were a little high but it's the sign of times. We were greeted as soon as we walked through the doors by a very friendly young man behind the counter. The place is little but clean. I like the big old fashioned menu staring you in the face as soon as you walked in. The only minor complaint is the parking. There is none for the restaurant and it's all paid parking but cheap. Once getting the food I could see what the hype was about. It was great bbq with awesome fried chicken. The bbq sauce was tangy and tasty. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy. The gumbo had the perfect amount of spice and the roll was flaky and good. The only downside (and this is strictly personal preference) was the chili had way too many beans. And the rude girl at the counter on Saturday, May 6, at 5 PM was a disaster. She argued with us when we asked where our food was after waiting for 45 minutes. She then kept making excuses as to why we did not receive our food. She was a disgrace . I will never eat here again. But I looked at Yelp and they had such high ratings and very good reviews it made me want To come here. I order two dinners to go and got a chicken breast and wing and the crispy skin was super good and light not heavy and dry crunchy like other places. they had a spicy bbq sauce which I really loved and the gumbo tasted very good and the coleslaw was on point. The staff was super friendly and I believe the owner was there and had a positive conversation but everyone was super friendly and there was quite a few people already there when they opened at noon. If you're going to be in the Spokane area head to chicken N More they have killer food and a super friendly staff and it's a tad tough to find it but the GPS will take you right there so head on over and grab some BBQ. read more

In town for a business trip and was told to try Chicken N Mo by a colleague who lives in the area -- and what can I say they did not disappoint! Logan and Tanisha are amazing -- they were running the kitchen, serving, taking phone indoors and managing take out orders! They were BUSY and continued to host with genuine smiles, laughter, concern for their diners satisfaction and treated every single guest as if they were family. The food was simply bad. What was called "catfish" on the menu clearly was NOT channel catfish, which is what is ordinarily considered to be "catfish" in restaurants. It was swai, a Chinese, farm raised fish that is definitely inferior to American channel catfish, but is raised under environmentally damaging conditions. It was rank. My wife's "brisket" sandwich was virtually all fat, little lean meat at all. Service: Hmmm.... . Should I say non-existent? There were only two persons working, and the place was packed for some odd reason, considering the quality of the food. Ambiance? Unpretentious would be the kindest thing to say.
