Got the deluxe chicken entree. 4 pieces of deliciously moist and crispy chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy with a roll in the side (I think it's a Hawaiian roll). Service was very nice. Food was made fresh so about a 15 minute wait. They charge a dollar extra for card payments. Place was very clean. Always can find parking. Prices were fair. Will be back. read more

Fried chicken is a guilty pleasure for me and I love it. Problem is I can't eat it every weekend because I would need a bypass in a couple years. There aren't a ton of options in Jackson but this is an ok option. I do wish the fried chicken was crunchier overall. We ordered a small bucket of chicken and although it was flavorful the skin could have been crispier. They either need to fry it longer or have a different batter. The french fries were pretty solid and the cole slaw was dynamite. Sides hit the spot but the star of the show was just ok. If I am in a bind and had a craving I would reorder however there are probably better options. Just not sure they are in Jackson. read more

Disappointed...I haven't been here in a while since the menu prices went up. Football Sunday got me in the mood for fun food, but it was a let down. The food here today was sub par. The Buffalo wings were meatless and dried out. The potato skins were boring and dried out too. The only bright spot was that their chicken cutlet sandwich was good. Very bad experience with the staff. I order the food and I was waiting for it. I sat on one of the stools that they have by the counter because I have a bad back. The manager comes over and asks me to get up because the floor is broken and that is why he put the stools there. But there was no sign to specify so. I guess he did not want me to sit there. But that would have been fine if he was man enough to come out and say..."Can you please don't sit there because of social distancing" or something. I know there was absolutely nothing wrong with the floor, I looked at him with a surprised expression and got up. I should have gotten my money back by canceling the order. The chicken was very dry! Not bad. Not great. It's your average quick fried chicken place, like Chicken Town and Cluck-U-Chicken (Although, the quality is definitely better than Cluck-U-Chicken) as opposed to fast-food fried chicken, like KFC & Popeyes. Essentially, it's frozen chicken fried in a pressure fryer. That is like a huge pressure cooker speeding up the process, except it fries in oil. I got the fried chicken dinner. I saw curly fries on the menu, and ordered that for an additional 45¢. The chicken was OK, but I should have stuck to regular fries, or maybe the mashed potatoes (which I assume are the "instant" variety) . The curly fries were over seasoned and had enough salt to rival the Dead Sea. In addition, they charged an extra $ 2 for coleslaw, which is included at every other place like this that I've been to. I found the staff cordial and didn't see any of the service problems experienced by others giving this place one star. On the other hand, the superlative 5 star reviews are also unwarranted. I understand that this is Jackson, famous for its dearth of good eating establishments. The number of five star reviews for this place belies the dire situation in Jackson. If you like these type of fried chicken establishments, the best, by far, is the Chicken Kitchen in Shrewsbury. read more

The meal was fresh, not over cooked, great flavors and arrived NOT cold or soggy. They use these special take out containers that keep it warm and not mushy. A big part of the experience with any business is treatment and interaction between customers and the employees and/or owner. This place fails miserably. I went in to order fried chicken for take out. I walked up to a younger female with blond hair, the cashier. Written all over her face was, "I DO NOT want to be here working, and I'm PISSED!" Her outfit is a whole other thing. Let me just say 'shorts' not quite appropriate. Walking up I was met with a blank, angry, unwelcoming stare from this female. After an awkward pause of several seconds without a "Hi" or "Can I help you?", I had to ask if I could make an order. She grabbed the order pad and stared at me. After paying, no "Thank you" or even half a smile. I thought maybe it was just me. As I was waiting for my food, all other customers walking in got just about the same pathetic treatment. This attitude extended past her to the dark haired male behind her whose job was to assemble and package the orders and direct the two cooks in the kitchen. I am assuming he was the owner or at the very least a person in a managerial position. He also had an unwelcoming pissed off look on his face the entire time. With his attitude like that, the female in front couldn't be expected to act any differently. I will say the chicken was not bad. However I will not be going back there. A customer shouldn't walk out of a business in a bad mood after spending money there. There are several other restaurants offering the same food that I can spend my money at. read more

We eat here all the time, never a bad or even OK experience. This place is awesome. The zesty wings are the best wings I've ever had, same with my wife. The ribs are awesome, and you have to get the mash there. It's top notch. Chicken sandwiches are also amazing and very inexpensive for a lunch or snack. Not sure what the others are complaining about, been here roughly 40+ times since living in Jackson and the only complaint I have is that ONE time they forgot my blue cheese....the other complaints about this place are just people looking to complain. My family has been ordering take out from here for over a decade. It's definitely our go-to fried chicken place. Far better than Chicken Holiday (which is closer to us) and KFC. It's not the cleanest or tidiest or most comfortable inside and I wouldn't recommend dining in. I usually get wings or fried chicken breasts. I like the mashed potatoes and gravy although they are both made from a mix so they lack a sort of freshness. I don't mind it though. My Dad and brother like the fries, I usually pass on those though. The food is consistently good and we never have to wait too long when we call in the order for pickup ahead of time. I typically order my wings "naked" and get the sauce on the side so they aren't soggy by the time they get home and my request is never a problem. Their fried chicken isn't heavily breaded and not SUPER greasy. It has good flavor and is always juicy. If you've looked over this place in the past, consider giving it a shot! read more

The chicken was cold, dry, and undercooked. I threw out most of the chicken bc it tasted like printer paper. The place was dirty and the service was horrible. I called in an order to pick up and was told 20 min. I arrived 25 minutes later but still had to wait for my food to be ready. Gave my name and was told the price, pulled out my CC, and the attending blonde stretched out her hand for my CC without saying a word. What sort of place is this where you cannot insert the CC yourself? Then she handed me their portion of my CC slip to sign, and it was neatly cut, but my receipt was badly torn and hardly recognizable. I stood by waiting for my copy of the CC receipt, finally she asked if I wanted my receipt. What sort of business asks that question? Their overall attitude was extremely poor. If you want to pay for your food but still feel like a starving homeless person asking for a handout, then this place is for you. The owner was unpolite and had a "who cares" attitude. Also, he should watch what he's doing, instead of watching his blonde cashier, because he put a staple thru my french fries while stapling the two paper plates of my to-go food together. The place is a s***hole. It was dirty and didn't smell right. The tables weren't clean and the floor looked like it hadn't been mopped in a month. I ordered snack buffalo wings w mash to go. They stapled two paper plates together as my to go box? Lol & did not give me any silverware or napkins, luckily I had some in my car. Yes, I totally had a FT date with my friend as we ate in the car. There was barely any sauce on the wings, majority of it was pressed on the plate so it was difficult to enjoy. I wasn't so entirely impressed with the taste, texture was nice. I later ended up getting really bad bloat, and threw up :/ I can't say it was from the wings alone, but my bloat did happen right after I ate them. It was very painful. When I used to work in Jackson -Chicken and More was a staple at our job to order from. Now that I live in the Princeton area-it's worth driving all the way to Jackson for-wish there was one closer. Horrible Service! After waiting my normal hour or so, My Chicken Jubilee (16 pcs of Chicken, Lrg Cole Slaw, and Jumbo Fries) was not delivered. I tell the delivery guy and he says call the store. I call the store, sit on hold for about 5 minutes and the young lady says "We will cook your meal now and re-deliver it." I said, I have to wait another hour??? She said, that's the best I can do. I ask to speak to whoever is in charge and a gentleman says, "The best we can do is cook your meal now and deliver it or take it off you card." Really??? That's my only options? I can't give a restaurant that serves food on paper plates a 5 star rating unless the taste gives me an orgasm, however, this place is a solid 4. I would give it 4.5 stars if possible. The wings were delicious. They weren't too mild and they definitely weren't too spicy. The ranch I dipped the aforementioned wings in was delicious and my wife loved their blue cheese. If I were to change anything about the food, it would be their fries. I would have personally liked curly fries, but, I'm not the owner. This is a place I will definitely be visiting again. It's a small joint with only about 6 or 7 tables. They seem to be mostly set up for to go orders. They do deliver, though I'm not sure how far their radius is. I heard the girl taking an order saying that the order had to be more than $10 and they charge $1.25 for delivery. Seems to me to be pretty reasonable. If you're in the Jackson area, be sure to stop on. They also serve seafood, though I cannot comment on that as I didn't order any.
