Definitely a DIVE bar no question so if you aren't into dives bars then don't bother! Liquor store up front and bar in back style dive! Location overall cleanliness and appeal is lack luster at best. I typically order from here via DoorDash. But when we saw it riding in the area we popped in!!! The wings are good via delivery but DEFINITELY better fresh!!! We made the decision to go with the "dry" option with sauce on the side as suggested by the bartender and wouldn't have done anything differently. They were crisp and full of flavor! We ordered Filipino BBQ and Jameson Honey. The potato skins were good also! Fresh cut and fixins' added fresh. Pretty sure the fries are cut from the same potatoes. You won't be disappointed if you like dive bars. My 4 stars is based on bartender experience. We arrived to a pretty quiet bar on a Sunday afternoon with 2 attentive super friendly female bartenders (who made a good cocktail) and 1 male bartender. I guess shifts changed, the young ladies left and the male bartender who came on shift seemed to get distracted easily, leaving us with 2 male bartenders kinda "shootin' the $hit" and catching up. We watched other patrons flag them down and walk up for service a few times from everything from water to the check. But it's a hole in the wall bar... it is what it is I guess. All in all good bar food. Give it a shot! I hope this place makes it. The area seems to taking a turn as I understand it and this establishment may seem out of place. read more

What I've been finding lately is that stumbling upon random locations, such as the case here, can lead to some of the most memorable experiences. Cee Gees seemed nondescript, and I wasn't expecting a large, well-decorated bar upon walking in. Divey-ness was maybe to be expected, and this is quite the dive. The owners seem like they enjoy Halloween, with prop cobwebs, special events, and Icarus Brewing Oktoberfest beer on the menu. They hit the nail on the head with the atmosphere, especially since we were visiting on the way to the Halloween trail down the road. Pleasant surprise # 2 - the pricing is conscious across all menus, and an extremely solid value. Finally, the wings were unique and high-quality. There is an inspired set of chefs back there. The wings are grilled to order, with the option of an XXX sauce that has a habanero flavor, which is my favorite for an extra spicy hot sauce. Then the fries are hand-cut and served in a huge mound, fried literally as golden brown and crispy as possible. Even the sliders had massive thin patties, and tasted ten times better than White Castle. Everyone at my table remarked how this was the best burger they'd had in months. Service was to-the-point, perhaps more efficient in this manner than I'd ever seen, and friendly despite being overwhelmed by a full house. Surprisingly great for bar food and a dive. I got a mushroom/onion Swiss Burger, it was fantastic. Burger was cooked to perfection, I could not ask for better. Potato skins were huge, each was half a baked potato! I'm not one to write reviews, but I'm truly upset about the way I was treated at this establishment last night. I went out by myself. The bar was not as busy as it usually is got my first drink. Everything was fine. Noticed the one Bartender starts yelling at a customer because he wanted more than one drink than he should've had which I completely understand, but the customer did not understand because he was Spanish speaking so he could not understand what the Bartender was saying to him yet was being yelled ok not my business right then after my first drink, I wanted another drink. I tried to get the bartenders attention which usually when I do go there I sit and wait for my drink quite some time but I never complain. I'm always patient well this time I thought I got his attention, but then I wanted to tell him that I did not want the same drink. I wanted a single vodka drink versus the double that I was given prior so before he made the drink, he would know that I wasn't rushing him. I wasn't trying to make it like my drink is more important than any other customer. I just didn't wanted to receive the right drink and not a double shot because I was trying to slow down well this Bartender decided that he thought he should start yelling at me like he did to the other customer like I'm his child or something which was very embarrassing when you're 42-year-old woman being yelled at by a man when you're a customer a customer that is a regular mind you I'm tired of being treated like crap by some of the bartenders there a night before that when I went out, I was given a drink that I didn't want and I was told we'll just drink it. This is not the way you treat your paying customers, especially ones that are loyal and come to your establishment quite often well, I will not be going there anymore when that particular Bartender is there because what he did was wrong and I'm not giving my money to people that are ungrateful to have customers that tip well like me I even left the six dollar tip for two drinks, even though this happened. There are some bartenders there that are great, but some of them just have a pissy attitude hence the reason why I haven't been going often I don't deserve to be treated that way nobody does shame on you Billy your a bully! read more

The wings are very good but they are not full wings. A regular wing has a drumstick and wing connected to it they will separate the two and charge you separate. So next time you order six wings they will give you three drums and three wings but in reality one wing equals a drum and a wing so they're ripping you off. read more

We were coming home from a concert at the Stone Pony and definitely hangry! Not knowing the area, we originally stopped at Murphy's Ale house but they stopped serving food at 11pm. True story...we met a couple in the parking lot that raved about Cee Gees! The one fella told us he used to work there but was terminated for coming to work drunk. The young lady apparently also worked there, but found another job once her partner in crime was fired. They raved about the wings! "EVEN THOUGH THEY FIRED ME, THEY HAVE THE BEST DAMN WINGS AROUND! " Well how do you say no to that! ‍ Definitely busy on a Saturday night. We found a table and immediately placed an order for wings while we decided on what else to add to the table. The folks behind us told us to definitely get the cheese steak and after eyeballing their nachos...we added that to the list. Our server Bill hooked us up with another round of wings " Bill Style!" Folks...these wings were so good we even took some to go. Hubby is a cheesesteak snob and doubled the thumbs up. Before you leave..you must purchase a jar of Mr. Q's Filipino BBQ sauce! The best $5 you will ever spend! We grilled for Father's Day and slapped that sauce on steaks, chicken and ribs! If your in the neighborhood, add this to your list of awesome bar food! read more

It's not everyday you find a welcoming place. I have traveled around, for unrelated matters, and have been remiss in that research. I must admit that I am not adept in finding habitat, based on geographic restrictions. The first time I zero'ed in on Cee Gee's it provided a Curiosity that seemingly brings like minded moths to that flame. Good camaraderie, superb food slowly reveals a quick atmosphere of warmth. The daytime lunch and nighttime specials leave a trail of welcomeness, with an overarching sense of a hidden gem. Any review should include a criticism... They are easy to find in a public place. Try this place and adjust your own. While your there, I'm sure the warm wood finishes and historic effervescence can soothe or instigate your comfort. I never like to do this the bartenders are great except one I believe he's the manager my friends and I where having a great time and one got cut off which was totally understandable but the manager was rude to him and after we got him out which the manager saw and twenty minutes later after he had me pay his tab he said if I was caught giving my friend a drink (who had left) I would be "thrown the f... out" it's terrible love everything else btw the tab he made me close and pay for my friend wasn't his my friends tab was already closed. Food was absolutely awful. We tried it for a Sunday football game. People were raving about it. I ordered ahead for doordash. Food came on time but was awful. Wings were dry and burnt. Mac and cheese bites were over cooked and dry. The pulled pork tots were not at all what was delivered- we received waffle fries with cheese and pork roll.. I was soooooo disappointed. I called and the manager was kind and refunded my money and gave me a future gift card but I am very hesitant on returning. read more

I love CeeGees! Their wings are to die for and their staff are very friendly (Anthony is great!). It feels like I'm hanging out with friends rather than going to a bar and grill. Trivia nights and the corn hole tournaments they hold are always a good time as well. It's pretty much what you expect from a bar in Jackson. Pretty local, older crowd but you'll always run into some people from high school if you're in your 20's too. Pitchers of beer are cheap and it can be a decent place to start the night if you're from the area and want a drink before you head out to your ideal destination. read more

This used to be an awesome cheap local dive bar to go to with your friends when you were broke and wanted some great food and to get trashed. Over the past two years or so, they've slowly been upscaling, switching from putting the food in baskets to square plates, cleaning up the place, and raising prices. That use to be alright, because they had literally the best hot wings I've ever had. Well, no more. They changed their hot wings, they're now the generic hot wings you get from any bar or family restaurant, and they went from being 25 cents on Wednesdays to 50 cents. With the bar no longer being the cheapest around, or having the best wings around, its now just a generic seedy dive bar with better options around. Use to be great though. read more

Honestly I haven't tried the food and I can't imagine it's the reason people come here but the bartenders are pleasant and the drinks are very strong. I came in and had a vodka soda and for $8 it was served in what looked like a 20 oz. glass and was pretty much 90% vodka.
