Not a frequent diner here, but in the summer we like to get a box of chicken to take out in the boat. Always hot, fresh and as ordered!

I like chicken guts, specifically gizzards, almost every time I order the gizzard dinner I get more than 9 pieces and I appreciate that. There have been times I get the 9 and are actually pieces rather than whole gizzards I don't care much for those orders but back to praise, they usually make them fresh and come out piping hot and the gravy is icing on the gizzard! My wife likes chicken legs and loves the corn on the cob. This is one of the best places for chicken and guts around. read more

My stars are mainly for the customer service. The woman accepting payments and returning drinks and orders to the drive thru was phenomenal! She was pleasant, calm and fast despite the heat or the collection of cars. However, the individual taking orders didn't take my complete order but I half heartley appreciate his efforts. I didn't get my water, didn't ring up one of my sides and ignored that I asked for mashed potatoes with gravy on the side and all flat wings. Corn was hot and bland, potatoes tasted instant and wings were extra crispy. The lovely lady corrected my order and was pleasant in addition to professional about it. Went to drive thrust 10:50am and was told they won't have chicken until 11:30am. This is supposed to be a fast food chicken restaurant.

Out of every side we wanted, then offered biscuits, come to find out they didn't have them either.

We have tried this Chicken Express multuple times. This was the last, the okra was burnt and hard. The hushpuppies were also too hard and burnt. We were asked to wait an extra 8 munites for "fresh" fish. I wish that had been true, it was not fresh. read more

Went thru drive thru i ordered 2 #1 and asked them to add a corn on the cob and mac n cheese. When i got to the window the manager Daniel handed me one drink,i asked where the other drink was he told me i don't get one because i added extra sides??? I told him that made no since. He said i need to pay for a drink and shut the window. I sat there waiting to order the drink and he ignored me. I honked my horn and he continued to ignore me. Fresh hot food ready in minutes! French fries are amazing! The rolls oh my goodness. Literally goodness. They even have a sit inside & eat area (most chicken express' are drive thru). Husband went back inside to speak with the manager and the excuse was rhey were busy with the drive tru, two cars (drive tru) three employees not one single person in the dining area. read more

I would not go here either myself. I went in there to get their happy hour special from 2 to 4 p.m. I was there before the 4 p.m. at 3:55 p.m. I went inside to place the order and no one was there to help until a couple of minutes later. Then when an employee came to take my order they said there system had 4:01 p.m.. Their clock was five minutes. When I got back home to call the manager of store with feedback back with my experience. I explain what happen and he said "sorry" but sounded uninterested when he said that. There was a extended moment of silence nothing else the manager could say I guess. Then I said goodbye and hang up the phone. You will not get the best service if go here. I have been a fan of Chicken E for a long time but unfortunately it's a hit or miss on many locations. My husband ate at this location once (we about 30 min away in Prosper) and told me how good it was. No joke, this is the best one I have been too in a loooong time! We chose to eat inside. Horrible Service. We sat at the drive thru window for over 5 minutes while we watched the manager and an employee talk and laugh. After waiting for 7 minutes, I honked my horn. The manage came over. I told him that we had been waiting on them. He said, very rudely, they are waiting for our food to be ready. I said that they should have at least took our payment and give us our drinks that were sitting there. I could not believe how rude the MANAGER was being to us. Tried this place today while in Sanger. NEVER AGAIN! I've found that chicken express in my opinion, doesn't set very high standards for food quality to begin with. There's a big difference between gizzards, livers, and tenders. Your cook should know better. My gizzard order included gizzards, livers, and chicken tenders. Someone really blew that order pretty badly. Ordered a side of okra, your oil is obviously well beyond 3000 miles, definitely time to change it, throw it out like I did the awful okra you cooked in it. The chicken I got had apparently been sitting in a warmer for awhile, it was dry and tough. Worst Chicken E food I've ever had. This use to be one of our regular go to places for a quick lunch or dinner on the weekends today will probably be our last dinner at this location. I know the management has changed tonight there were five employees and the 45 minutes we were at the restaurant not one employee bothered to wipe down or clean off anything yet they had time to stand around with their hands in their pocket and I don't know about you but I think there is something a little rude about an employee waiting on customers with a toothpick sticking out of his mouth.
