So this white lady told me "DON'T GO" because it "tastes white" I should've listened. It's bland as hell! No season or flavor what so ever. She told me she only goes for the sweet tea; which was too damn sweet, so sweet it gave me a headache. Bruhhhhh I should've listened ‍

Staff gets 5 stars. Food gets 4 only because I think it needed a little more flavor. My son loved it and keeps asking to go back to the chicken place as he calls it. The ice tea comes in a jug which is a good thing because I think I drank my weight in it

Really disappointed in the service and food at this location. Location had just opened up at 10:30 am, and the young lady servicing had a very bad attitude, and no smile at all. : ( Asked them to separate the orders, they did not, and when I asked her to correct she stomped her foot and went back in. The Chicken was so overdone I could not eat it. The Okra was burned almost black, and when I politely asked for more ketchup, The employees just looked at me and called over the Manager. So sorry to have such a bad rating, but It seems that the Golden Rule of treat the customer as you would be treated does not apply to this store. Pictures attached.

three plates of fried chicken and french fries

Very disappointing. 7 tender meal was more like 3 tenders and 4 bread nuggets. 10 cold French fries. A dried up old biscuit. All food was cold and barely edible.

I ordered 6 PC Hot Wings and what I got was chicken nuggets

The service is outstanding and fast! The super hot chicken strips and breaded catfish are absolutely amazing! I will definitely come back.

I genuinely cannot believe I've never written a review for Paw-Paw's Catfish House because we have…read morebeen coming here for YEARS and I love this place so much. There are restaurants you try once because they're trendy... and then there are places like Paw-Paw's -- the kind that become part of your family's story over time. From the fried deviled eggs, to the seafood platters, to the chicken tenders, to the genuinely wonderful staff, there just isn't a better spot for this kind of old-school comfort food experience. And the staff? Always SO friendly and welcoming. Every single time we come in, it feels less like "customer service" and more like old friends excited you finally stopped by so they can catch up with you awhile. That kind of warmth cannot be faked, and it makes such a difference. Now let's discuss these fried deviled eggs. Because respectfully... who allowed them to be this good? You think deviled eggs have reached their final form and then Paw-Paw's comes in like, "Hold my beer." Crispy, crunchy, creamy, flavorful perfection. We start most meals with them because not ordering them would simply be poor decision making at this point. I usually get the chicken tender basket and LISTEN -- these aren't sad little freezer tenders pretending to be a meal. These tenders are literally as big as my hand. Juicy, tender, flavorful, cooked perfectly every time. My adult kids are obsessed with the seafood platter: three pieces of fried catfish and three jumbo fried shrimp with fries, pinto beans, slaw, hushpuppies, and homemade tartar or cocktail sauce. And when I say the catfish tastes CLEAN, my fellow seafood people will understand exactly what I mean. No muddy taste, no weirdness -- just fresh, crispy, perfectly fried fish done right. And the portions? Paw-Paw did NOT come to play. Nobody is leaving hungry unless that was a personal choice. What I love most, though, is the feeling of the place. The small-town care. The heart that clearly goes into the food. The old-school comfort vibe that feels increasingly rare these days. Places like this matter. And Paw-Paw's is absolutely one of them.

Typically busier during the church crowd window on Sundays. Upon entry, someone will seat you so be patient and kind. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. Ordered the fried catfish platter. Plenty of food. The catfish is battered and fried to perfection. Always my go to when craving catfish.

Pulling up to Roadhouse felt like I was about to film a low-budget country music video. The aggressively unpretentious energy was immaculate. The all-dirt parking lot said everything! No curated patio, no aesthetic succulents just straight up vibes and dust. The place was packed at 1 p.m. Our server, Raven, took great care of us from the jump. Rave was very efficient, friendly, and had zero attitude. We ordered a basket of fries, a portobello mushroom burger for me, a cheeseburger, a Philly cheesesteak, upgraded side salads, and, of course, their famous carrot cake to share. Now, let me confess something: As a Californian, I walked in with absolutely zero expectations given the facade. And yet... the fries were perfect. The portobello burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and very satisfying! My friends inhaled their cheeseburger and Philly like they were participating in a competitive sport. Lol. And don't even get me started with their carrot cake. It was disrespectfully delicious! This was seriously the most humbling "don't judge a book by its cover" moment I've had in a while. Roadhouse doesn't need any curated lighting or a reclaimed-wood Instagram wall because the food and service speak for themselves. I drove into a dirt lot with skepticism and left faceplanted by my own bias. Consider me corrected, Bastrop!

It doesn't look like a very big place but surprisingly there was plenty of seating. I hadn't been to a chipotle in a couple of years and was surprised at the price increases, but I guess that's the same everywhere. I wanted to get a salad but honestly the lettuce did not look good at all, so I got a bowl. The best deal is the kids meal. You get a taco or quesadilla, and a couple of sides and it was more than enough for my grandson. They had plenty of staff and they kept the place very clean so I'm sure we will be back! I just hope they find some better lettuce because it truly looked like nothing but big thick stalks of Romaine.

It was all over her car seat and all over her purse. When I opened the bag, both containers were smashed and leaking. Then when I opened my food container, it's all at one end of the container and the salad I ordered had a few leaves of lettuce on the bottom and that was it for the salad. This was not a salad. Also trying to get customer service over the phone is pretty nonexistent. In the two times that I've had chipotle at this new Bastrop restaurant, I've been dissatisfied. I don't think I'll order there again.

I've traveled all over Texas and across the U.S., and I can say without hesitation that Las Cocinas Mexican Grill is hands-down the BEST Mexican restaurant I have ever been to -- and that includes all of Austin. My family and I come here several times a week, even though we don't live close by. That alone should tell you how incredible this place is. Must-try favorites (do NOT skip these): The Margaritas - Very strong and absolutely perfect. Order them half & half (half on the rocks, half frozen). Trust me -- you'll thank me later. Nachos Al Carbon (Appetizer) - The beef fajita meat is out of this world. Tender, flavorful, and unforgettable. Beef Fajitas Cremosas (Entrée) - Get them with EXTRA sun-dried tomatoes. Oh. My. God. I have never had anything like this in my life, and it's something I crave several times a week. Stuffed Jalapeños - So good I sometimes order them as my entire meal. And the onion rings they're served on? Easily the best onion rings I've ever had anywhere. Beyond the food, the staff is absolutely amazing. From the moment you walk in, they make you feel like family -- warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy you're there. That kind of service is rare, and it's one of the many reasons this place is so special to us. And yes -- I always forget to take pictures of my food because I eat it before I remember to take photos for a review . That should tell you everything you need to know about how good it is. We are incredibly thankful for Las Cocinas. It's not just our favorite Mexican restaurant -- it's our favorite restaurant, period, and the best in the entire area by a mile. Perfect in every way.

Whataburger isn't just a meal, it's an experience. If you are visiting TX, you don't experience…read morethis on the same level as a Texan does but if you're in the right headspace, it's awesome. First, I want to point out that it's important to manage expectations. When I fly Spirit Airlines, I'm usually satisfied because I don't expect the same level of service & quality I might find on United, Alaska, Delta, & Southwest. I pay less and I get less and that's OK. This is not a steakhouse burger, it's fast food and I feel that it's better than most of the standard chain-faire. Is this the In n' Out of TX? Kind of. I'm a Seattle native and I grew up on Dick's Drive-In, which I still love & I believe is the reason that In n' Out will never try to breach the Seattle market. As any Seattle native knows, CA started invading our city in the 1980's and you can easily see the ultimate results of that. I'm not here for social commentary but I will say that WA set themselves up for their fate by already embracing a lot of CA's bad ideas before the invasion began & then enacting them when the echo chamber became overwhelming. I don't think Texans would tolerate that. One of the things I hated about the Californians is how snotty they were about Dick's Drive-In. They would crap all over it because they preferred In n' Out & frankly, I've tried them both many times and I'll stick with DDI. This was my third trip to TX, & my first to the Austin area. I have moved to NV since my last visit and my perspective has changed a bit. I think the first two times I visited, I was a snotty Northwesterner & I instinctively looked down on TX because it wasn't like WA. Since I hated the way the CA people did that in WA, I realized I was a hypocrite. This time, I came with a new attitude and I saw it all through a different lens. I love it now. I love how friendly the people are. I love the overall attitude and vibe. Eating at Whataburger was fantastic. I'm not a huge burger eater beyond DDI but I enjoyed this meal more for the experience than for the food. I don't want to short-change the food, it was tasty and the portions were good as well as the prices but the employees and other patrons were wonderful. I had never been to this city before and they treated me like a part of their community. I love food and even do food blogging and videos and I would urge all of my friends to go try Whataburger with an open mind and an appreciation of a true TX experience.
