Chicken Bacolod is definitely one of my go-to places when I am running low on cash. At first, I didn't notice this place, because it was hidden in a dark corner near Old Spaghetti House. A dark corner isn't exactly the first thing you'll notice when you're strolling along Katipunan.
When my friend and I were looking for a place where we could have dinner, he suggested that we go to Chicken Bacolod because it was cheap and the food is fairly decent. I haven't been to Chicken Bacolod yet so I decided to go with him. When I finally went in, I noticed how the whole place looks just like your typical eatery. You'll immediately smell the vinegar and soy sauce that they use to prepare the food. During that time, I just wanted to get my order and leave (I can't stand the smell of vinegar). I ordered their Chicken Inasal served with unlimited rice. I have to admit their Chicken Inasal tasted really good. I wanted to stick around to check what more they have to offer, but my nose just couldn't bear the smell anymore.
Chicken Bacolod would have been totally perfect for me if it weren't for the smell of soy sauce and vinegar stinking up the place. But let's be real, I would still come back here for the food. read more
