However, we were in for a severe disappointment! We both ordered the top grade (and most expensive) ultra-premium (from Japan supposedly) wagyu beef available. I was shocked. My beef was practically unedible with a lot of sinew in the beef. My wife's was somewhat better, but nowhere near what we would eat in Japan or the rib-eye cap I grill myself at home in Hawaii. I called the Chef (Gerry, I think) and complained to him. All he could say is that he has to use the cuts their commissary in Greenhills sends them. The only concession he gave was I could order another cut. I did order an Australian-grown wagyu but it was only slightly better. After taking out the gristle and sinew, we probably only ate half the beef we were served if not less. The rest we left on the plate. Our photos shows the beef we did not eat and the sinew/gristle we spat out. The only think good I can say was that the oysters and salad we ordered were fine. And we went home hungry. And for that we spent almost $200 for a meal for 2. This is the only restaurant I have given this terrible rating. And it fully deserves a ZERO star rating but the lowest is 1-star. Save your money. Go to TGIF or Outback. You will enjoy it more there and not feel you were robbed.
