Ninang's is another one of those neighborhood places that I grew up going to once in a while. I can't recall how many times this Visayas Avenue branch had undergone renovation already, or at least modify its look a bit. It makes no secrets about what the featured dish is. Upon walking in, you'll see the "bilaos" displayed by the wall with corresponding prices, depending on size. While the pansit malabon is indeed what most people go here for, I prefer the traditional orange Filipino dish for a snack or afternoon merienda. I usually find myself at the Visayas branch for a quick meal instead. In that case, I usually order myself pork embotido to go with a cup of plain rice and sunny side up egg. If I'm on a big appetite, I'd add a stick or two of pork barbecue. read more
