Visit #1: I ordered the Voo Doo Tots and the prime filet. The tots? Okay, these were amazing. Like, I could've just eaten those and been happy. The steak was a solid prime filet--cooked well and enjoyable, even if it didn't quite steal the show from the tots. Visit #2: I tried the Chef's Charcuterie Board (which, plot twist, is served on a plate... not a board) and the Forklift Fried Chicken. The chicken plate was a little disappointing for me. The collard greens and cornbread were definitely "not how momma made them" (kidding... kind of). Still edible, just not memorable. Both visits left me satisfied, but it's more of a "stroll back" than a "run back" kind of place. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, which always bumps a restaurant up a notch in my book. I didn't try one of their Old Fashioneds--apparently what they're known for--but I did go for the Fire of Mordor cocktail. Tequila-based, delicious, and honestly the name alone sold me. Cozy restaurant, and we had reservations both times even though it wasn't packed. Overall, Forklift is a nice spot to land for a good meal in Tupelo.

Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful, great customer service. I got a small sausage and mushroom thin crust to go. As I waited I took that opportunity to look around a take a few pics. They were pretty busy so my expectations were high. I don't review regular pizza places the same as a Chicago or NYC pie, that wouldn't be fair. We all know the crust makes the pizza and I didn't appreciate this crust so much. It had a strange texture and taste. I couldn't put my finger on it almost like play dough. Maybe because I got a thin crust. I would definitely revisit this place to try something else on the menu. I hope I just caught them on an off day.

I forgot we came here before and I did not like the crust. I STILL don't like the crust it's heavy, dense with no flavor!!!! Blah, the crust is not light Neapolitan style or New York style, it is just dense bread dough like. I got the hippy I think it was called which is vegetarian I want to say the toppings were fresh, but I couldn't tell. Friend got the artichoke dip appetizer. It was fine. services are fair, you order at the counter and they bring you your order but how can you be a pizza place and have horrible pizza dough? I agree with my last review, I called it "LOST" Pizza because they lost a pizza dough recipe. Next time....Pizza Hut!!! Another star for good beer selection.

Nice lunch find by the wifey in Tupelo!…read more Food was mostly good, so let's start with that first. I enjoyed my meal and it was an amazing value. It think it was like $15 for meat, two veggies, and a dessert. C got the sphagetti with a side salad, roll, and black eyed peas. She had the shortcake for dessert. I had the pot roast with mashed potatoes & gravy, cream corn, with jalapeño cornbread. My dessert was a bread pudding. I don't do spaghetti so I didn't try C's. My pot roast was really good. I ate it all. Somehow I managed to not get any veggies in it though, that made me sad. Mashed potatoes were instant I would say, gravy too. What can you say about creamed corn? Cornbread was cold but had nice flavor. Bread pudding was fair, way too sugary imo. We ate in the back where all of the wooden patio is. Really cool set up. The stage is amazing. I wonder how often they use it. There is a really cool bar in the middle. This place is cool! The fans came on and created a nice breeze inside. I imagine in 100 degree Tupelo it can get steamy in there! It was a nice fall day on my visit. I must say this, I think this place is strange in the way that it is set up. It has all the possible benefits of a nice buffet, but only to serve a meat and three type experience. It's a giant tease for a guy like me that wants everything he can see. I wanted to sample it all, but no. C says I should not dwell on things that are outside of my control but this place gives me the intrusive thoughts man. I want to grab the food and make a run for it! Why? Why show me all the food but not let me have it?!?!? Keep it on a hot table in the kitchen if you are just gonna tease me like that. I get that it is "cafeteria style", but it lacks the appropriate guards to keep my hands out of it. It also is having to be constantly staffed in two spots. I won't get into how much money I think they are wasting with this type of service set up. You need cooks, servers , food type servers, two different serving lines staffed with more people on each. Oh, ok I will get into it... Another pet peeve is also done here. You have real plates and silverware but you add a layer of disposable to the mix as well. This costs you more money and cheapens the meal in my opinion. I am sure it's for portion control, but they make serving utensils that offer portion control. To add to the visual ratchetness, it's a mixture of white styrofoam, black "patterned" styrofoam, and black polypropylene served on cream colored plates. Now. No one else probably gives a shit about any of that. No one will probably ever read this far anyway. It's all just journals and leaving bread crumbs for future Adam's for me I'd say. I am available for independent restaurant consulting. Large scale, commissary, and mom and pop places too. '25 - 111++++
