Why is the drive through blocked off? I drove on one side of the drive through just to see it blocked off. They seemingly funneled everyone to go through one side. Which was a hassle for me because Someone like me who is not familiar with the drive through layout will have to go around. With that said I parked and proceeded to go into the restaurant with intention to order, just to find out that I could not order inside. The young lady told me I can walk around outside the building where other staff would take my order. I walked around and another girl saw me and told me I can go inside to order. I told her o was just inside and the other girl had told me to go outside where they would help me. So why was I getting told to go back inside?... Anyways, she ignored what I said and took the order of the car entering the drive through. Mind you you I was there before the vehicle entered the area. Once that happened I waited a few seconds and another associate approached me and helped me. He knew I was upset. I wanted to just leave due to the lack of service and the fact that the drive thru was blocked off. He helped me anyways and I just didn't want to escalate anything else so I just ordered my drink and left. I've worked in restaurants and customer service before and this is just something I did not expect from an establishment that prides themselves on their product as well as saying their trademark "my pleasure" every time someone says thank you to them. With that said, they need to fix their paths and signage to funnel the cars entering on all angles to go through the right path towards the drive thru. There's multiple entrances in the premises and anyone can be hassled to go around. On top of that, the service wasn't what I expected here. This was also my first time in this location and everywhere else seems to be more hospitable and inviting. read more

Ordered delivery through the app. The two larger fries we ordered were half full. I called and the manager told me that they filled them up and that the fries shrink. He then told me that they were working on a fix and that if I was a loyal customer I would see the fix soon. I can tell you that there def was not a large amount of fries in there, shrunk or not. NO WELL DONE WAFFLE FRIES - JUST WRONG Silly complaint, but - My wife and I have enjoyed our local Chic-fil-A here in Simi Valley, at first we found it to be adequate. The chicken sandwich's and nuggets were very good, but the waffle fries were lacking as they were limp and drinks "over iced". We simply ordered "easy ice" with our drinks and we ordered our fries " double well done" (just as we would do from McDonalds), this was the answer. We also found that a number of our friends had the same complaints as us and we suggested giving Chic-Fil-A another try and ordering the "well done" fries as we have. We told friends and friend's told friends and the word spread, however, we recently went to this same Simi Valley Chic-Fil-A and placed our order as we have been and were informed that this location will no longer make the "well done" fries. Wish we knew that before we got in line, we complained to the manager and were told that these take too long and left with limp fries - Bye, bye to this Chic-Fil-A. read more

I grew up with Chick-fil-A in another state. When I heard it was coming to simi I was so excited! We went opening week (and several times after). Drive through is quick, like the line to the street and you'll be out faster than any McDonald's in simi with 3 cars in line. Service whether drive through or going up to the counter is always great, and I love how they address you by your name. Food is always fresh and yummy. And they don't skimp on sauce or any condiments. The lemonade is bomb, but the lemonade slush thing is life. Despite my dieting I will always cheat with that. read more

But beyond that, like another reviewer, to get inside the restaurant is just stupid. A planter is in the way, the drive thru is in the way. How could they take so much space and screw it up...blocking things with parking lot cones....jeez. Simply not worth the trouble...or the high prices. Edit: About the drive through...I don't get the way they hand out food to cars 4 cars back from the window first. McDonald's takes orders and pictures of the vehicles so they can hand it out in order...Their system isn't perfect, but it's better than Chick Fil-A's. I just wanted to give a big THANK YOU to Emily and Chick-fil-A. Let me start off with, how great Emily was in the drive threw she was so patient and understanding. I was having a rough afternoon, I had One year old hungry twins in the back seat screaming, a not feeling great 11 year old in the passenger seat. I went to pay her and couldn't find my card I told her I was so sorry for holding up the line (this point I was starting to panic and almost in tears) my twins getting louder and hunger. I told her I would need to cancel the order for I had no way to pay for my food, I only had $10 cash on me. I was so emotional, embarrassed and panicking for my card was missing. She was so sweet she put her hand on my shoulder and told me I was a good mom and everything will be ok. She said my food would be covered I told her I wanted to at least give her the $10. I didn't go there looking for a handout I went there expect to pay for my kids food but there love and generosity to help customers is higher then any normal Fast food place I've been too. I am forever grateful for what you did not only for me but for my kids. Thank you so much. Also the food was great and customer service is amazing. Will definitely be going back. read more

The driver dropped off the wrong food so I called the restaurant and they told me they would send out the correct food but it will be awhile. I told them not to bother and I will get something else and was informed they will credit the charges. Three days later they had not credited the charges I called back and they said they will do it. I had never been to a Chic-fila before trying the one in Simi Valley, and I have to say that while the line to order seemed a little on the long side, the crew working did a fantastic job adding more employees to the registers, so the line went by quickly. Clarissa was the team member who helped me with my order, and she was just as lovely and friendly as could be when I told her that I had never been to a chic fil a and wasn't sure of what to try. Clarissa told me all about the different options and then helped me decide on a spicy chicken sandwich that she promised I would really like, and she was right! The management here kind of sucks most of the people working here are very nice but some of the familiar faces I've seen there have not been an around and they seem to always have new people working there which isn't a bad thing. The drive is always slow even slower with this new system they're trying out it usually used to be a lot better but it's gone downhill. read more

When I arrived to the drive thru it was getting full, I was next in line. I watched the interaction in front of me. Drive thru personnel was not following 6ft measures they were right at your vehicle. When It was my turn they still had employees walking the food to your vehicle hugging your food and drinks close to their bodies.. I assumed since they were still operating that they would safe guard customers and employees by implementing new guidelines.. At this point I was scared for our safety I took the food and threw it away before I got home. I am really sad that they would do this to the employees and the customer. Ok, I LOVE chik fil a... but this location is not good. I understand that there is a learning curve with new restaurants, but the last few times I've been here the customer service has been terrible. Messed up orders, forgotten food, rude employees. This morning was the last straw for us, no one greeted us when we walked in, it didnt even seem like the location was open yet, when they had been open for almost 2 hours already. We were ignored until the manager who was standing right in front of us, not acknowledging us at all yells to the back, "Can someone grab the register!!" a young woman came to the register to take our order. She was rude and seemed like she was pissed off that she had to help us. We felt EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Seemed like everyone hated their jobs AND the customer. I've never encountered a problem like this with other locations. I'll be sticking with the Thousand Oaks location from now on. read more
