We usually use the online app so it makes it easy to pick up. Everyone is normally friendly and we don't have any issues with our food. All good in my opinion! This location has great service and friendly staff. The location is a bit bonkers as it's a the busiest intersection in Shelby! You've got Wally, Ingles, and CFA on the main road through town!! Great for business, but as everyone knows CFA parking lots are always 3x smaller than they should be. Service here is quick and always 'my pleasure'. Dining room is cleaned regularly and the music is tasteful and family friendly. Food is the most addictive sensation ever concocted. Honestly what is in that seasoning!? This will go down as one of the best secrets in history! All in all yes this place isn't perfect, and that's because it is run with human hands. So even though it's got a healthy amount of bad reviews, remember the rest of us that are at this location are too busy enjoying it to stop to review it. read more

I came down to visit my family and made a stop for my sister. I was clear when placing my order. Once I got home, I realized that I didn't receive the correct order. I double checked that receipt to make sure that I wasn't charged more for what I ordered. I tried calling several times to inform them. I was too far away to come and return the order. Before leaving town, I made a stop to see if they could fix it and the guy informed that he wasn't sure as to how they would fix it. On 6/14/2024 I went by this location and dined in. This was the second time I'd eaten here and it was a pleasurable experience. The drive-thru was packed as usual but inside there were only a few people eating. The restaurant was clean and the AC kept the place nice and cool. My order was taken promptly by a very attentive and nice employee with a smile. It wasn't long before the food was ready and given to me by another worker with a smile. The chicken sandwich and waffle fries were delicious and hit the spot! I will definitely go back here not only for the great food but the wonderful atmosphere. I had just left the Shelby Zaxby's location for a first time visit and was sorely disappointed after waiting 10 minutes and not one person acknowledging me standing in line nor taking the order. For over 50 years I've established my favorites which became my "go to choices" on each visit: carrot and raisin salad; chicken salad sandwich; chicken noodle soup; and of course the yummy slaw. But on a recent visit I learned that in addition to removing my carrot and raisin salad as well as my slaw, chicken salad is no longer offered. Took the kids there on the way to the in laws. On the way out, we asked for refills. I had a coke and asked for sweet tea. She stared at my cup and asked what did I have before? Simply put, the drive-through process using outdoor sidewalk order-takers is a mess. We didn't even have a chance to look at a menu. The employee made us give her our order a ways back from the menu displays. We ordered a frosted key lime they didn't have, so we had to reorder at the payment umbrella. My frosted coffee was melted iced coffee at best. We got two frosted drinks for $6.73, and I wish I'd just made an ice cream drink at home and saved the money. So much drive-through line congestion, too. I deal with anxiety, and I feel like I'm going to get rear-ended or side-swiped every time I'm through the line. I'd suggest parking and going in here, but I probably won't be back because it's been a mess the past three visits over a period of more than a year. read more

Let me start by saying I love Chick-fil-A. With that said, this is by far the rudest, most unprofessional, and mean spirited Chick-fil-A I have ever been to. I placed my drive through order, and told the person I needed to swap the salsa that comes with my burrito for the creamy salad dressing version. All was well until I got to the window where I was told I had to pay .27 for the salsa. That would have been fine had it been charged up front, but I don't carry cash and they wanted me to swipe my credit card for the additional .27 cents. When I refused, I was told "Well we have a business to run". When has a CFA been so hard up for cash that .27 cents would break the bank ? They then told me to park and wait for my order, at that point I'd had enough so I requested a refund. So instead of .27 they lost around 20 dollars. I work right down the road from here but I will never be back. Tried calling the store and all their extensions go to corporate. Complained to corporate, and was told the owner/operator would reach out, guess what, he didn't. I guess he's making his mega bucks and doesn't care about his customers. Oh well, I'll take my business down the road to Bojangles, as they have surprisingly great customer service. read more

Pull up to the drive thru to order, two lanes open. I ask a girl standing there if I can use the other lane. She tell me her iPad is dead. I asked again not sure why that was relevant, I don't work at Chick-til-a. I asked again if I could order at the second lane. She yes yes you can move there. I'm on a road trip, & we needed a quick bite. the car ahead was ordering the entire menu I needed to speed my visit here up. I pull over to the next lane as instructed. I wait, I wait some more. No one comes on the speaker. I reverse ask the girl why. I one is taking my order. She now wants to tell me SHE has to take the order on her iPad. Which is why she told me her IPad was dead when I first pulled up. However, not fully explaining why that was relevant, then telling me to use a lane that is what I would say is out of order: so due to Chick-fil-A hiring some dumb ass teen who can't complete a full thought I'm sitting like a dumb ass. I then asked her why would she tell me to use the lane.... she had nothing to say. We left so while this might have been the best Chick-fil-A I've ever had I'll ever know b/c of the dumb ass girl with the dead iPad. Future reference to the team the proper way to handle this situation is if she would have said, "My iPad is dead, which makes that lane obsolete till it's charged, so stay in this lane so she can take your order. They were cutting us off while we were trying to order, rolled their eyes at us when we asked what the total of our bill was so we could provide exact change, and huff and puffed while walking back to the registered to find out our total. The line is usually out of the parking lot and you still get through faster than a lot of other restaurants. If you eat inside the staff asks if you want refills or need anything. We take our kids here sometimes. Good lemonade. Great shakes. Love that they are seasonal and switchem up. Banana Pudding and Peach shakes = yum! It's very clean and well run. It's anchored to a Walmart Super Center, so it's busy. The only nice thing said was "Have a nice day" as the stuck my order out the window. Not a big thing but super friendly people and welcoming smiles are the main reasons I like this place. Hard to find this level of service anywhere. However, the Shelby store could use some work. Usually when the staff is not happy it is often a direct reflection of the management. Still love going to the location near Walmart. Even though there is usually a line of cars in the drive thru, the line moves quickly. The staff are always happy and cheerful. I can order a sandwich (even during breakfast) which is prepared fresh for a few minute wait. Delicious!! read more

I took my children for chicken nuggets and for the play area today. When I took the kids into the play area to get their shoes off the other children already there told me there was something wet in the top part of the play equipment. I then immediatly go tell the workers. 3 of them I know for a fact heard me say there was a liquid in the play grpund equipment. I waited 5 minutes and no one (including the maintnance woman) did anything about it. I am 7 months pregnant but went up to the area in question to clean it myself. It was not easy. But I get there and it is pee in the equipment! Those kids had been playing and stepping in and over pee! The workers were informed of a liquid that could possibly cause a child to fall and get a busted head that turned out to be pee that a 7 month pregnant woman climbed up to clean! Will never take my kids back to this location! Besides that the food was great but they need better employees that listen to the customers! read more
