My wife and I went to Chick-fil-A and placed a order to go. This was the very first time I have ever gone to any Chick-fil-A. It is pretty near my house and I pass by it all the time. Since it was a pickup order I can not say how restaurant was or service was. We had a big order for 4 people drinks fries and sanwitches. I ordered a Chick-fil-A deluxe sandwich with no cheese. I told them about 4 times no cheese. We got home with the order and they did not have my sandwich at all plus other parts of the order were incorrect. I ended up eating one of my wife's sandwiches that we ordered and had to scrape the cheese off it. my wife had to call the store to tell them that they left my sandwich out and other items were not correct. for me this experience was terrible as I did not get what I ordered. The only plus was The sandwich I did eat was pretty good. I am not sure how to rate this establishment???? I would generally give 3 stars as the cashier was friendly and order was taken fast and the order did come out quick. It was partially y error as I should of checked to make sure everything was correct. I give them overall 2 stars overall. I would definitly try them again in the future. read more

The construction is finally over! I really wish they had updated this parking lot because it is TIGHT. This location does not offer mobile thru but you can wait in the regular drive thru line for a mobile order. Our order tickets were correct but sandwiches inside were not modified so we did have to park and go in to fix it but it happens. read more

I have been a customer of this Chick-fil-A many times for years, so I feel surprised that I have not yet posted a review here. Out of my many visits to this restaurant, I recall experiencing zero problems. My husband and I usually go through the drive-thru, but this restaurant also offers dine-in, carry-out, and delivery. The menu lists foods for breakfast (e.g., breakfast sandwiches, scrambled burrito, hash browns, yogurt, and fruit), entrees (e.g., chicken sandwiches, nuggets, and strips as well as a few salads), sides (e.g., fries and mac & cheese), beverages (e.g., coffee, teas, juices, lemonades, milkshakes, and sodas), and condiments (e.g., dressings and dipping sauces). Entrees cost about several dollars each, and sides cost about a few dollars each. Chick-fil-A knows how to organize its employees so they efficiently take orders and payments and efficiently cook and hand over foods. Often, the lines of customers are long, but I have never had to wait for long. As for the food, it has always been cooked properly and tasted good. The food, however, is usually not healthy. For example, one sandwich can contain several hundred calories, and a large side of fries can also contain several hundred calories. For my most recent meal here, I ate a market salad and a side of fries. My husband ate chicken nuggets, a deluxe chicken sandwich, and fries. My 86 year old mother and I go to lunch once a week in the North Hills area. Typically we eat at Cheesecake Factory or Long Horn. Today we decided to dine in at Chick-fil-A and we were pleasantly surprised with the friendliness of the staff and the quality of food. We were greeted by the sweetest cashier who helped us make our selections. We both chose the Cobb salad which did not disappoint! The greens were so fresh and crisp and the over all flavor was out of this world. I just didn't expect to be this satisfied with a "fast food" salad. We came here for lunch after going to the mall. We were bummed there was no longer a Chick-fil-A in the mall but didn't mind driving across the street for lunch. I got a salad and was disappointed that lots of the lettuce was slimy. I had to pull it all out. This was at about 1 PM. It was definitely not freshly made. I also asked for extra red bell peppers and did not receive them. That was also disappointing. Are you ever going to open the play place? Clean and bright location with pleasant employees. Love the soundproof playroom, as you can be sitting right next to it and not hear a thing! Glad to finally have a standalone location in the North Hills area. There's two ways to get into this location. It's recommended to use the entrance at Bed, Bath, and Beyond directly across from the northernmost Ross Park Mall entrance. It's sort of easy to miss the next entrance going south on McKnight. It's just past the BBB light, and it shares the entrance with another building. There are separate lanes for parking, and drive through only so keep your eyes open otherwise you'll be circling, and circling! They have their standard menu offerings (chicken sandwiches, wrap, kids food), but I struggled to find a non-deluxe spicy chicken sandwich. Ahh Chick-fil-A... The holiest of all fast food chains (no pun intended) In this review I will comment on Chick-fil-A as a franchise in general as well as this specific location. This is the only fast food restaurant that gives me some type of vibe when I am there eating. You are greeted when you walk in, everyone is smiling, all the employees respond with "My pleasure!" This is an overall eating experience that you can only get from Chick-fil-A! As far as the food goes, it's all good, really really good! I usually go with the spicy chicken sandwich, grilled chicken sandwich or the strips. Don't forget the Polynesian sauce on EVERYTHING! One of my favorite things about Chick-fil-A is when you ask for sauce they ask you how many. EXCUSE ME?!?! You mean I don't have to use one sauce for 2 lbs of food??!?! God forbid you ask for extra sauce at McDonalds... they act like they are hand churning the sauce and packaging it up themselves. Once you order they hand you a little plastic cup thingy and you can go sit down. Yes, they even bring your food to you when it's ready! Once you start to eat they even have an employee that is walking around the dining room periodically checking on you and getting you refills!!! I'll give you a second to catch your breath... Once I was finished with my meal I went to wash my hands and freshen up. While in the restroom I caught myself humming the instrumental music that is lightly playing throughout the restaurant but is more prominent in the restroom. The song I was humming was "Open the eyes of my heart Lord" I knew at this very moment I needed to go to church the following Sunday. And I just wanted to thank Chick-fil-A for getting me back into a more spiritual mood as of late since this location opened and is very accessible to me. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I am happy when I know I am going, I am happy while I am eating and I am happy the rest of the day knowing I ate there earlier. If I had to guess I would say I have been at Chick-fil-A hundreds and hundreds of times and ALWAYS had a pleasurable experience! P.S. Drew the manager is absolutely spectacular. His positive attitude reflects on the entire staff and the restaurant as a whole. Out of everything located on McKnight this is ALWAYS my go to, fast, clean, friendly and the sandwich's are always good, ready to pick up shortly after I order online, it's right around where I work and I can rely on that to have my order ready during my break and have time to pick it up & eat it too. Whereas other places on McKnight that I have tried we're always way off with the estimated pick up time or when it would be ready. I end up wasting my break waiting for the food. This is literally the worst Chick-fil-A in Pittsburgh. I order all the time from many of the other locations in the area but when I want it for dinner this is the one I'm forced to patronize. It's owner operator is never available to call customers. And it seems like a teenagers are left in charge. If you HAVE to go here don't bother ordering ahead with their app because they don't take care or mobile orders before those people choosing to eat in or drive thru. You will have to stand there and wait. If you do order online, make sure you get your straws and napkins because they don't bother ever putting them in the bag. Though the drive thru line is typically very long, I am always greeted by friendly staff at each stop through the drive thru process. Each employee works fast to provide an enjoyable experience. If I'll ask for extra cherries on my milkshake or pickles on my sandwich, they even give me EXTRA extra. Every time I get a chocolate chip cookie, it's ALWAYS nice and warm too. All of my drive-thru and DoorDash orders have been prepared perfectly at this location. I don't frequent Chick-fil-Hate for personal reasons, but my kid had been taken a few times and asks me for it all the time, so I buckled. The drive thru was very long and the girl who took the order was accurate and nice. Then a guy giving receipts asked confusing questions and said he lost his place. Also fine, everyone makes mistakes. Then I got to the window and asked the girl if she could toss my empty Starbucks cup to make room for the milkshake I ordered for my kid. She refused, stating it was company policy, and jumped back dramatically as if I were passing her a pipe bomb or a loaded diaper rather than a clear and empty plastic cup. I get that it's policy, but don't be rude. Or put a trash can outside. Then she asked if I still wanted the milkshake I PAID FOR....obviously. Look, I don't know if she did it on purpose, but instead of a cold milkshake filled properly, I wound up with an overflowing, lukewarm mess that leaked all over my car. Gave it two stars because it's new and they need to get better. Ordered on the online app that is supposed to make things fast and easy. Easy order, 4 orders of 4 chicken strips, sauces and 1 lg chocolate milkshake. Husband went to pick it up. It wasn't ready, employee wasn't sure how to do it. Manager did apologize and offered fries while waiting. After the employee read back all the sauces requested, he was handed a bag and left, not thinking he should have to look in it. Got home and no sauces. The food is good, no complaints there. It will be a while until we try that location again. May stick to the Ross Park Mall store until this one gets it together.
