I travel for work and have eaten at many Five Guys across the country. This location is very consistent with those. Fresh, hot,, and tasty burger with very friendly service. The only reason for 4 stars instead of five is the cost. A burger, fries and fountain drink is $21 at this location. It's actually more expensive than the New York City Times Square location. Maybe Pittsburgh commands higher rents than NYC but I doubt it. Bottom line is you will get great food and service but be ready to pay for it. read more

Employee Jayden is very rude called my friend sloppy . Also had a horrible attitude sense we came in there it's not my fault people who don't wanna work she was so rude I did not place an order, but my friend already did as we were waiting for our food. She was saying rude stuff out loud among her coworkers. I'm visiting in town for the draft. Even if she did have an opinion, she shouldn't have said anything because it's not her responsibility to call people out and she could've said it at a later time. As a vegetarian since age 5, you might guess I don't eat a lot of fast food and you would be right. A couple times a year, though, I make the couple-block walk from my office to this Market Square Five Guys to get their veggie sandwich. This is not a veggie burger - they don't have one - but grilled onions, peppers, tomatoes, lettuce and whatever else you want (I add cheese, pickles and condiments) and it's so delicious and really scratches that fast-comfort-food itch. I also ordered a "little fry" which as always spills out of the cup times about two. The fries are cooked in cholesterol-free oil, if that makes you feel any better about your life choices. This location is always really busy at lunchtime so I generally place my order online, pick it up (you have to ask as they are holding it behind the pickup counter), and bring it back to work where I take it to the cafeteria instead of my desk because the greasy bag is so smelly and shameful. But satisfying. One noteworthy thing on this visit was that they now had ketchup packets for taking with my takeout order. Previously if you wanted ketchup, you needed to go to the dispenser and fill cups, which is not my favorite for timeliness or the number of people handling these. read more

You guys are terrible. I placed an uberEats order at 8:24 PM. 6 minutes before delivery time closes. The poor ubereats guy was waiting for a while and the store closed the doors on him, per the Ubereats individual in our messages. I understand you may be frustrated but at least call me yourself and say "hey we won't be able to make the order. We won't be able to make." Instead you have me and my pregnant wife waiting like idiots for 35 minutes and the poor Uber eats guy is outside waiting. Such a shame. At least CALL us to say "hey we aren't making it." Have the damn decency to do that. The UberEats guy could've of been doing another order as well to make money. They really closed the doors on him and said "hey we can't give you the order." So 1. You made the order on time and didn't give it to him when he arrived before closing OR 2. You didn't make the order when the ticket was out at 8:24 pm and instead of calling and saying "hey we won't make it." You made us wait and the UberEats driver waste his time. Pathetic. read more

Went there hoping to get some great burgers. There were only 4 employees working, while 15+ people stood in line for 10 minutes, with nobody taking orders. We ended up leaving and going to Chipotle cause the line wasn't moving. The tattooed girl behind the counter didn't seem to care in the slightest. Really bummed we couldn't get food here. read more

This is the fifth Five Guys I've been to. After trying to get to the Oakland location which was too hard to park near on a busy Friday night, I decided to go downtown to this location. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger, Cajun fries, and chocolate milkshake. Overall it was a reasonably quick and smooth process, restaurant was clean and orderly. Despite being on the menu, I ordered a coffee milkshake only to be told they don't have that flavor and maybe haven't for about a year! Perhaps cover it on the menu after that long, haha. Fries were great as usual but weren't overflowing in the bag like I've had every time I've gone to the Ross Park Mall location. It truly felt like a 'small' because of that. Burger was good but this is the last time I'll get it with lettuce. Unlike Wahlburgers which gives a nice green leaf, this was the unpleasant white, hard type of lettuce which isn't for me personally. read more

Ate lunch there on 9.29 Route 19. Store PA-1061. I often each lunch there on the weekends. I like the burgers and fries. But the lack of customer service from the order counter is subpar. I am blaming the management. Maybe the young people who work there don't know any better, but they should be trained in greeting the customer, and there should be follow up from the store's management. Today I was NOT greeted by Brant M. I was so NOT greeted by him that I wanted to say: "Welcome to Five Guys, may you take my order." Upon my approach to the counter, Brant M. just looked at me. No greeting, no smile. I began my order, but couldn't help but shake my head in disbelief. When a lunch of 2 little cheeseburgers, 2 sodas, and 1 small fry is $32.39, I would at least like a greeting. Instead there is an option to TIP. Why would I give a tip to someone who doesn't even greet me? TIPS used to be an acronym for To Insure Prompt Service. Maybe it has come to mean To Insure People Suck (at their jobs). We went to five guys in Pittsburgh Mills mall area. First time in awhile and the last time. The burgers are thinner and smaller and we literally paid 10.00 more than before..the bill was nearly $34.00 Unbelievable for fast food. So many places try to make a better burger. Different meat, weird fats, or even extra seasoning on the patty. Whatever Five Guys is doing, they've got it right. I ordered a "Little" Bacon Cheeseburger, with the staples, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, BBQ sauce and mustard. It was just right in size. The burger was perfectly cooked, and all the toppings were good, except the lettuce. It was like it got too hot, but it was all wilted and weird. Not a reason to get grossed out, it was still awesome. I was with Franny and Juilian, my love-bird friends, and fortunately, got a hold of some of the fries they were sharing. They were amazing. Maybe just a touch too much salt, but good nonetheless. Any place wins my heart if you have those futuristic coke machines that plop out any weird concoction of soda with random flavors like grape, peach and vanilla. Grape sprite for the win. Try it. Quick service. Not a choice if you're looking for healthy food. Not great option for non meat eaters but I didn't expect there would be. There's a veggie sandwich, grilled cheese and other fried sides. Good choice if you want a quick burger but not fancy. Everyone will be jealous of you if you bring this with you to lunch because this place is SERIOUSLY delicious and the food here smells just as amazing as it tastes. The Cajun fries are sooo addictive and I am not even a French fry girl. The beef is also much higher quality than any other restaurant I'd ever went to - no lie - and that's a big reason these burgers are so good. It's basically the level of deliciousness that you don't even notice that you look like a starving animal or that the sandwich completely fell apart all over your face, lap and hands when you eat it. With that said, it may not be the best place for a job interview or to take your mother in law. Even though I love this place they are going to have to provide the public with healthier and more plant based options if they want another star out of me. They are one of the few places that specializes in burgers without any vegan or healthy option whatsoever and that limits who I can come here with, how often or what I can order (sometimes I feel like going plant based for a day or so) and who I can recommend this place to. More people are going to need and want healthier more plant based options and I would like to see them make at least some effort toward that initiative. I'm confident they would find a way to make a seriously delicious vegan burger if they tried. I only let myself go here occasionally when I have a serious burger craving as I don't think people should be eating this way on a regular basis but I can't deny this food tastes amazing! read more

Was walking in at 1:15 pm to give them my first ever order. Really wanted to give them a fair shake. But a tall young man told me I couldn't come in unless I was picking up an online order. He literally blocked my way. I was so confused. Can you not just walk in and order like any other restaurant? If they were having issues with equipment or a power outage, why not just say that? Okay I feel obligated to take off 2 stars because of two very recent incidents. On my last trip to Five Guys I ordered a little bacon cheese burger with jalapenos. My little bacon cheese burger had NOOOOOOOOO BACON! That alone is enough to get you 1 star. And I know I ordered a bacon cheese burger because I double checked the receipt. Had I not been so incredibly hungry I might have noticed this more than half way through consuming the burger. I didn't complain to the establishment because I felt bad that I had already eaten so much of it and cuz I'm passive aggressive muhahahaha. And another time I ordered a burger and the cooks smashed my burger bun and all down so hard the burger completely lost it shape. It looked real bad you'll. I will say that I have dined here at least once a month since first finding out about Five Guys and that this restaurant has turned me into a burger craver where before I could careless about hamburgers but guys can we TRY AND REMEMBER THE BACON next time!?! This was my first time at 5 Guys. It took me a long time because I once read that it had the highest calories of all fast food. But despite that I tried it with my coworkers and it was delicious. I had a tiny cheeseburger with a few toppings and it was a great size. I can't even imagine what the regular size looks like! I shared fries with a coworker and I'm glad I did because even a small was a lot of food. They didn't taste like any fast food fries I've ever had before. They were really good. My last praise might be weird but I really liked the pop machines. It was one of those high tech ones where you can choose different flavors. I made a peach Sprite! I got a kick out of that. Ooh and there are peanuts that you can take while you wait for your food. Fun! The space was clean and I liked the decor for a fast food place. The layout in the store was odd though. We had a couple of people try to get in through the exit and since we sat near that door we had to point them to the correct door. I wish both doors would have just opened. Maybe this is an issue at a busy lunch hour. I'll go back but certainly infrequently because my waistline couldn't handle that too often. read more

Perhaps the stars were aligned, perhaps it was exactly what I wanted or it was just that good! I decided to come to Five Guys in Market Square after work because I had an insatiable craving for a burger, but not just any burger - I didn't want a froo froo ultra fancy burger that came from a cow named "Franc"...I was in the mood for your all American standard burger but higher quality then your local fast food joint. Man did I come to the right place! I ordered the little cheeseburger and little fries (cajun style) to go along with it and it was soooo good. The place is clean and organized and although there wasn't a crowd since I was coming after work, they were very efficient so I can see how this place runs smoothly during the busy lunch hour. I got lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, jalapenos and bbq sauce on my burger and all the veggies were fresh and the mushrooms were perfectly sauted. It should be noted that the jalapenos are fresh not the pickled kind for thos folks that might be particular. What can I say - everything was perfect and I couldn't imagine getting a regular sized burger. I barely had room for the fresh and tasty fries! read more

This new location is a welcome addition in Market Square, tucked just behind Primanti bros. in the walkway to PPG Plaza. The service was excellent. Since this is a newly opened location they are extremely well staffed and attentive. The store is SUPER CLEAN. Go closer to 11AM and beat the lunch rush. Bonus tip: you can order your burger without a bun (in a foil bowl) or in a lettuce wrap. Awesome! You can also order extra of everything at no charge (may not apply to cheese and bacon). I like to get extra jalapenos and hot sauce. I don't limit myrself to just 1 helping of pain. read more

Probably one of the best burger joints in the city. The service is very fast and everyone is extremely professional. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere seems very chill haha. This is really one of those "you get what you pay for" places, the food is great/high quality + you get a lot for your money.
