I had a very concerning experience at Mad Chicken today between approximately 7:00 PM and 7:20 PM. It was over 90°F outside, and I walked into the restaurant feeling overheated. I asked an employee named Muhammad if I could sit down for a moment because I wasn't feeling well. After I lost consciousness, instead of checking on me or calling 911, I was told to leave the restaurant. When I tried to explain that I wasn't feeling well, Muhammad told me, "It's not my problem." After I was forced outside, I passed out again. Thankfully, someone else was kind enough to bring me water, but the situation could have ended much worse. When someone loses consciousness, that is a medical emergency. I hope management reviews how situations like this are handled and provides better training so no one else has to go through what I experienced. There will be a police report filed and further legal action. read more

Honestly, I wasn't even sure this location was open... There were some tables in the back but most of it was empty with a blower on the ground. But they were open. I ordered some Mad Tots to go. Essentially they were what I always called "Tater Nachos," or chopped up chicken strips with tots (you can also get it with fries) and a sauce. Can I make it at home? Probably. But isn't the allure of eating out the fact that someone else is making it for you? Obvi. It was really good, and definitely filling. Clocking in at $11 is a touch on the pricey side but not super exorbitant. And heads up - their Honey BBQ sauce is one of the sweetest I've ever had, and I usually like sweet BBQ sauce. Ate here today with my parents and sister to try this place out for the first time before leaving Pittsburgh and after visiting Senator Heinz Museum nearby. The location was cute and they had a lot of options. I got a chicken cessar wrap with fried chicken. The positive thing is that they give you a LOT of chicken. And it's cooked well and has good flavor. The negative is that the chicken was the only thing in the wrap! There were a couple shreds of lettuce, but it was lacking the overall flavor profile usually provided by the veggies and sauce. Would definetely go back and order a chicken tender entree. read more

Madchicken downtown Pittsburgh I had the chicken fingers and I did like them although one night I choose a sauce that was not good, they have several sauces that one I can't remember the name wasn't to my liking. We've never heard of Mad Chicken, still wishing we never did, and could not get out fast enough. $80 later, I couldn't even eat my rice bowl because it was way too spicy. The guy taking our order could barely speak, let alone hear us trying to order over the speaker blasting on the rack of the fountain pop machine. He was wearing sandals, gross in a food establishment. We had to be careful walking because the floor was very greasy. The bathroom!! You have to be joking! I had very high expectations for Mad Chicken as one just opened in Pittsburgh. However, the food quantity did not match the high price tag. My boyfriend got their best seller, the chicken madness. It had too much chicken with disproportional toppings. Each bite was all chicken, you couldn't taste the toppings or their signature sauce. It also fell apart after the third bite and made a mess. The jalapeño poppers were very good, but once again they were too expensive. Everything else we got was mediocre. There are better restaurants in Pittsburgh that cost less and taste better. I liked the interior and the idea of the restaurant. They also have great hours for the late nights in Pittsburgh. They're open until 3AM on Saturday.
