Was craving fried chicken and we decided to go there because we loved their chicken. Going during the week was so much better. There were only a few people there. The poor bartender had to run all over the restaurant. He had to ring you up, make drinks, bring people their food, fix their games and handle any drama that came up on the games. He was so nice and gave great service. The French fries with cheese,, bbq and fried chicken was good. I love a lot of condiments normally but this was a bit much. I enjoyed it but would have preferred a fried chicken sandwich. My husband said the fried chicken and Seasoned Crinkle Fries were excellent. The food was pretty good though we ordered at the bar and I don't think the bartender got our phone number right so we weren't texted when our food was ready and ended up waiting a while. We tried to play duck pin bowling but were mostly stuck waiting for the pins to reset, the system kept being faulty and funky with not registering the pins getting knocked down or resetting for rounds at a time and not letting us bowl. The employee who was supposed to be supervising wasn't paying attention so we started off flagging him to reset it when an issue would arise but by the 4th malfunction, we'd just sit there and wait for the machine to figure it out, sometimes 10 min later. I had heard a lot of good things about the coffee here, especially their specialty lattes, and after trying them, I think they're okay, but not worth the price to be honest. The cereal latte had a ton of cereal in it, should have grabbed a spoon to eat it! The flavor itself was more just sweet than anything else, but it still is pretty good coffee and the staff was very nice! My real complaint is that it was $8+ for a small iced latte! If you want coffee, walk to the section in the front of the location. Want an adult beverage, line up at the bar. Want food, walk to the back left and order from the window back there. They will text you when your food is done and you go to the side of the kitchen and pick it up from a cubicle there. I ordered a Nashville chicken sandwich, it was okay, I wish you could choose spice level because it was a little mild. My wife ordered the Chicken Mortadella sandwich, it was huge. She liked it but scraped off the chili aioli because it was too spicy for her. She did find that they had condiments by the window where you pick your food up at and ended up using mayo. The pimento mac and cheese was okay. I would have liked to see more local breweries represented on the draft menu. Pretty lame offerings. Food was decent but I'm from H-town so I know good fried chicken. Got to say it was very hot and fresh so took awhile to get. Chicken seemed a bit over fried as it was not golden but darker in color. Pieces seem to be medium sized and with the batter it was hard to tell, which was the chicken breast and which was the chicken thigh. Apparently you can get it flavored (parmesan, buffalo,etc ) but you better know that already since the surly cashier who looked like she would rather be somewhere else didn't seem to want to offer any information to first timers. You can get a sauce for the chicken as well but again don't expect the cashier to volunteer that information easily. Order came out wrong with the dark pieces mixed with the white which is not an offered selection. The collard spicy greens were well liked by some members of our party. The pimento Mac and Cheese was fine. The ambience is more bar like so it's very noisy. Would I go back? No. By the way, they asked for tips when all they do is take your order and I mistakenly gave a tip thinking that they would deliver the order to us. We went to the bar line to order drinks and as an FYI, if you keep your tab open they keep your card until you close it. I really liked the vibe of this place, super fun and lots to do with not a bad price for arcade games, duck bowling and billiards. I liked the self sit rule where you can just order and sit wherever you want, they shoot you a text when your food is ready to be picked up. The food was okay, I thought the portion sizes were small and the sides were overpriced. For example, we got the brunch version of Nashville hot chicken and the waffle piece was as if they gave us a quarter of a whole waffle with a piece of fried chicken. I tried ordering takeout from here. Not a good idea I had no clue they made everyone in the restaurant order and pick up from a cold steel window. No way to differentiate between the two. Online it said it would take 20-25 minutes it's about 15 minutes from my house, so I thought the timing was pretty good. It was ready in about 7 and they don't even have the courtesy to throw it under a heat lamp or something. I tried calling on the way down. No answer. I went to the take out window outside and some girl from the crew almost politely told me I had to go inside. Had to wait I. Line while they checked some IDS Ok so I go inside there's the bag. I look around for anyone who gave a shit and ended up giving up and just walked out. The food: Honestly the chicken sandwich would probably be pretty good if it's hot. For 16 bucks and lukewarm, it kinda morphed into a big piece of chicken on a soggy cheap bun. The red beans were really plain. Popeyes are far better. 6:50 and I think they forgot to put it in chef Mike or something, because it was like a bean sushi roll by the time I opened it. The fries are the same crap you can buy at Walmart for like 6 bucks in a giant bag. The wife had a chicken wrap and I guess it was ok until she chomped into a big hunk of the core of a head of lettuce. It was like a 1x2 inch chunk of lettuce wood. So swing and a miss too. Oh yeah I have no clue who the tip was for, and they tack a nice little 3% convenience fee on top of that. That definitely doesn't go to the crew. Tried calling again on the way home and no answer. For the past month I've been going a little bit more often on the weekends and it's been consistently packed. The age range varies. Definitely a lot of college kids but also plenty of people in their 30s as well. Drinks are average price. I would skip eating here though. The food from the kitchen is terrible. It was pretty loud, as one would expect for a late Friday night. I wish that they had some fish/seafood options on their current menu, but I got the Farro & Quinoa bowl with the poppy vinaigrette. The apple in it was really fresh and crunchy, and the roasted carrots complemented the crispy chickpeas nicely. The salad dressing was also good. I had 2 drinks today, while playing duckpin bowling. When I went to the bar for my last drink, it wasn't made the way the other 2 were. I asked for it to be put in a glass that was taller so that I could have more water added. The bartender, Isabel, decided to give me a hard time because I wanted more water in my drink. since when does the bartender decide how strong your drink should be and then give you a hassle if you ask for the way you want it? I met friends at Coop de Ville on a Friday afternoon. I found a spot at the bar for all of us. The bartender, I think his name was Justin, was awesome! He kept checking on us and offered friendly conversation while I waited for my friends to arrive;) So sweet! The decor inside was shady chic. The bar was pretty and had a few TVs. There was a Duckpin bowling alley on the side opposite the main bar, which was a separate room. There was another smaller bar in the front that had a few outside seats. And there was seating outside in the front (not covered) and on the side (covered) of the building. I ordered Corona Extra and my friends had cocktails. We shared an order of poutine, fries topped with gravy and scallions. The fries were pretty tasty. It was starting to get crowded right before we left. Which made it much louder as the ceilings were high, so everyones conversations were echoing. I want to go back and try the chicken. But I would definitely prefer to be there when it is less crowded and not as loud lol. read more

Great heat, and it paired nicely with broccoli salad. The chilled salad brought the heat level down a bit. My wife loved her sandwich and seasoned fries. Great ambiance and a lot to do here. I had the most delicious coffee affogato drink! It's made with Millie's vanilla ice cream and Coop's cold brew. I wasn't sure what to get and the barista recommended this to me. It was one of the best coffee drinks I've ever had! It was smooth, creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. The POS employee behind the Tiki Bar ran an additional charge of $19.99 as a tip for himself--despite the fact that I had tipped when I paid our actual total. Ok so here's the thing. This place is BUSY. If you want to come and have space to move around and play games don't go on a weekend.... Just don't. Inside Coop they have the following: *Coffee bar - delicious coffee ! Try the ice chai latte with almond milk or an *adult* Irish coffee. *Alcoholic bar - with big TVs playing the games of the day , pleasant bartenders and seating lining the entire bar. *food order window - we tried the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (reminded me of an elevated McChicken sandwich, very spicy! I loved it!) Also ventured out and got their version of poutine which I felt was not considered "poutine". There was no meat on it. If there was cheese on them it was melted and soggy by the time we got it. Sooo I would consider those more "gravy fries" rather than poutine. If they wanted to elevate that menu item maybe just calling them loaded fries and adding fried chicken and Buffalo /ranch drizzle! Also tried the pimento Mac and cheese side. It was good but super rich so we couldn't even finish a side of it! Overall the chicken sandwich was my favorite menu item. *tiki trailer truck : where you could order some special drinks and sign up for mini bowling * pool tables - these only take "coins" so you have to go to the coin machine and feed it your dollar bills and get the coins to play pool. It was a little bit of a bummer because where they have the 3 pool tables, you can't even play a real game because you have people walking all around you and kids playing games directly behind you so you're trying not to wack anyone with the pool stick.... Just a terrible setup in my opinion.... they could move the pool tables over some and maybe even put up a rope to separate some space so people can actually play the game without worry of smacking a little kid in the face. *arcade games - tons of games line the place. They take coins *mini bowling - we were told on a Saturday that it would be over an hour for a lane. That's expected for PGH. Overall I would say go on an off day at an off time to enjoy the full experience but chicken sandwich was good. Bathrooms could use some updating and more frequent cleaning especially on a busy Saturday.
