I typically only review fast food restaurant locations if our experience was "out of the ordinary", as in extraordinary or mystifyingly horrific, and this one was the former because I just had to give the employees at this location MAJOR MAJOR props. The food at this Chick-fil-A is like any other, so nothing there will surprise you. HOWEVERRRRR, ALLLLLLL of the employees I encountered at this location were very accommodating, patient, friendly and efficient! Every time I went up to the counter to request for more sauces, extra containers or paper bags, the employees more than happily obliged to get it for me. In addition, I observed them patiently resolving customer issues (e.g. missing DoorDash order) and making sure that all customers they encountered were satisfied. I'm not sure what type of training program that Chick-fil-A has, but it undoubtedly has to be one of the best ones in the entire country. The best customer service I ever received anywhere has always been at Chick-fil-As and this location was exemplary of that! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK Chick-fil-A Paramus employees!!!!

Three stars only because it's too darn confusing to get in from the main road #17-N; if you miss the entrance, it's a whole rigmarole to get back and then getting past huge drive-thru lines. I asked the person at the counter if there was a senior discount? He said there isn't one. NBD Otherwise, the service is fine. The food is good, the place is kept clean. We ordered the food and then they told us to go take a seat with a doodad for the table. A short time later, one of the employees brought the food over to the table. Exiting the parking lot is easy. There is an EV charging station. Not a Tesla supercharger. We spotted another one a little further north on 17 North. If we had known that there was one there, we would've gone there because it looks easier to get in and out of.

Recently opened new store right next to the Fashion Center Plaza on NJ-17. Very popular with crowd, parking and drive-thru lanes filled with cars. Inside of the store is very well maintained, neat and clean. Many team members walk around to ensure guests are taken care of and everything is spotless. I had no line in front of me. Ordered straight at the counter right away. 4 sandwiches, popcorn chicken and fries were ready in few minutes. The handover associate was really nice, gave me few extra sauce upon request. The store maintains high quality and taste of trademark Chic-fil-a sandwiches. Popcorn chicken was really good. Fries were delicious. Really happy to see this store opening. I no longer need to walk into the Paramus Park mall to get chic-fil-a anymore :)

Best thing to happen to this food strip in AGES ! Fresh…read moreingredients and tasty recipes . The price is appropriate for the type of food you're getting, but even more so-the portion sizes and flavor are top notch . We've already stoped in multiple times so here are some of our take aways : -dolmades : honestly, the best I've ever had. And I try them EVERYWHERE. Not cheaply portions either - solid roll and you get 5 in an order. WORTH IT. -pita chips : clearly homemade and SO delicious . They're softer than the ones people are used to getting, but firm enough to really hold some hummus Bowl/Wrap ingredients : BASES -med couscous: light and fluffy, not porridge-esque -warm garbanzo beans : Held their integrity during cooking so you're greeted with big pillows of seasoned goodness -farmers mix : more than just Romaine-reminiscent of a garden mix (arugula, kale, etc) SPREADS -zesty Feta : no words can do this justice. Chunky and full of love -roasted eggplant hummus : brought an almost Smokey flavor as opposed to regular hummus -Kalamata olive hummus : recommended by the young man making my dish and WOW so glad he did. I'm not a huuuuuuge olive fan and this was just a nice essence of kalamatas . I was afraid it would be too potent and take over the dish. QUITE THE OPPOSITE! Will never look back from other options ! -tzatzki : mild flavor and perfect accompaniment to anything it touches PROTEIN First off, they offer the most GENEROUS protein portions. You 'get 2' so they let you do a full scoop of one and a full scoop of the other. Falafel is about 4 balls per serving so you can mix and match with another protein -Moroccan steak : nice sized slices/bits of spiced meat -lemon chicken : you can taste the citrus without it being overpowering . Also in nice sized pieces -chicken shawarma : insta classic ! The meat is almost buttery it's cooked so well -falafel : my personal favorite . You can taste how fresh they are ! No dryness here! Great Big Crunch surrounding a little pillow of happiness . And if you choose this as your protein, be prepared to be AMAZED at how much you get! TOPPINGS Unlike other stores of this kind, the toppings bar is unlimited !!! And that doesn't speak to the quality of the ingredients. Again, everything is so fresh and taken care of properly. Most of this part is self explanatory so I'll just touch on the parts we found interesting: -chickpea croutons : not nearly as hard as expected to be so that was a plus. The shell has a crisp but you won't worry about breaking a tooth -dolmades : if you're afraid to commit to a full order, here's your chance to try it ! You won't be disappointed -tabbouleh : such a lovely addition to the meal you just created . Adds flavor with the mint/parsley/onion heavenly goodness -cabbage : tried both the white and red at different times and both were tasty. Felt that the white took in more of the flavor around the dish while the red just added crunch DRESSINGS -any tahini option is the right answer . If you're not familiar with the taste of tahini to begin with (earthy if you will), then I would recommend a flavored one -roasted red pepper tahini: a gift from above ! There is a slight sweet yet smokey flavor that wraps everything together -garlic jalapeño tahini : not as spicy as you'd imagine so it just gives a nice lil zest to your dish -lemon & olive oil : depending on what you put in your order, this will help with overall texture. If you opted out of wet stuff (tomatoes, lettuce, etc) this is your choice ! Lastly, The Earth Burger : like a big ole falafel and WOW did not disappoint . Maintained the integrity of the falafel (crispy outside, soft inside) while giving you the satisfying big bite you're looking for . Only complaint is since it is such a hearty size, maybe a size of tahini or tatziki should accompany it . I'd say on the burger but it's cooked so perfectly that I don't want to risk it getting soggy . Basically, this is a great asset to the area. Kind staff, smiling faces, clean sitting area and portion sizes that will have you stuffed all day !

Solid fast, casual Mediterranean food in Paramus…read more Despite Hummus Republic apparently having multiple locations in NJ and across the U.S., I shamelessly admit that I had neverrrrr, everrrrr heard of Hummus Republic prior to finding them on Yelp recently. Whenever I think of fast, casual Mediterranean food, popular spots like Naya, Cava and Eons come to mind and it was nice to see yet ANOTHER option in Hummus Republic. As they say, the more the merrier! Hummus Republic's menu looks eerily similar to those aforementioned competitors. They serve your ever popular Mediterranean-inspired custom bowls, wraps and pitas that comprise of a base/carb/salad, protein (e.g. chicken, falafel, shawarma, etc.), hummus and spreads, toppings and dressings. One thing was for sure after I brought our takeout orders home - it will satisfy any large appetite because the employees absolutely PACKED our bowls to the gills. There wasn't even enough breathing room for an ant! My wife and I both ordered custom bowls with chicken shawarma and falafel and various toppings. As favorable as the serving size was, unfortunately, the flavors were no Naya, Cava or Eons. Don't get me wrong, it was decent, but something was definitely lacking. The ingredients were fresh, but something about the mixture of it all didn't gel. It was one of those "when you know, you know" type of situations because, after taking a few bites, we both agreed that its competitors were definitely better overall. STILL, with what I said about the flavors, it was solid. By far from something terrible, but a rung below the best of the fast, casual Mediterranean spots. There is no doubt Naya, Cava and Eons are at the very top, but, if we were in the area, would I drop in again? Sure. Absolutely. Custom Bowl with halal chicken and falafel

Definitely much more garlicky than your everyday Korean fried chicken. Wasn't a huge fan of the galbi flavor though. 16 pieces of chicken in total, BUT only expect 2 drumsticks, which is where a majority of the meat is. The rest are oddly fried pieces of chicken. My recommendation is to order the drumsticks instead. = Takoyaki - Pretty much tasted like most Takoyaki I've ever had. You're either going to love it ... or hate it. = Cole Slaw - For $3, you only get a verrrrrry small container of slaw. Definitely should have been a larger serving. Flavor of the slaw wasn't great, but wasn't terrible either. THE SERVICE ------------------- + 1 employee working the counter was friendly and came by to check up on us. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- = Small location with just 4 tables, but there were also 2 other groups eating inside with us. = No private parking lot, but there are typically available paid street spots outside. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Came by on a Friday evening at 6 PM and we expected it to be very quiet with a majority of their business definitely coming from takeout. However, like I said, there were 2 other parties sitting alongside us.

It was delicious! The pulled chicken was flavorful, and the pickled onions and cucumbers added a perfect crunch and zest that complemented the brown rice and kale beautifully. I chose to order directly from the staff instead of using the kiosks since it was my first visit, and I'm glad I did! Their tag line of "Eat Juicy Chicken" compelled us in. Unfortunately, our first time was a bit of a flop. First, the positives. Placing your order is a cinch, either with one of many kiosks or with the folks at the counter. We opted for the latter since it was our first visit and we were paying with cash. Service at the counter was warm and friendly. While waiting for our meal, we also took notice of the wide array of pumps by the drink dispenser. They're all free sauces you can get to dress up your meal. But that was precisely where things kind of went meh. My husband's boneless breast meal was heavily sauced and rendered the whole thing a little too salty. My chicken Caesar salad was just fine, but I craved more texture (some croutons would've killed). I keep comparing our ho-hum experience to others who've raved about their meals here, and I think our mistake was two-fold: 1) We didn't order a chicken sandwich. I should've known better - when most of the signature items on a menu gravitate toward one type of item, it's a restaurant's way of hinting at their strengths. Opting to order a salad and a grilled chicken at a fried chicken place was a bad start. Learn from my mistakes. 2) We paired a saucy chicken with saucy sides. All three items in my husband's order - the meat, the Brussel sprouts, and the potatoes - were generously drizzled with a sauce. It's no wonder our taste buds breathed a sigh of relief whenever we had a bite of undressed crinkle cut fries; we were assaulting our mouths with salt and flavor. If you're a saucy person, have at it ; otherwise, I'd recommend creating a more balanced plate and ordering a few things without sauce so you can appreciate the cooking. Because in my heart of hearts, I believe items are well-prepared here; they're just doused in too much covering to be appreciated.

Somewhere around 2024-2025, they did a bit of introspection --- and have revamped much of their image: menu simplification, bolder brand identity, and ACTUAL value pricing on items. I remembering visiting Smashburger in the 2010's, and often my burgers and fries were drenched in grease. Not this time. Burgers are delicately assembled, and more or less look like the photo on their menus! In Paramus, I've only had positive interactions with the staff --- they have been helpful in ordering and recommending when I am indecisive. On top of that: don't sleep on their app! They have better "reward deals" than many other chain restaurants! I tried two items today: 1) Mexicali Big Dog ($7.99) - This is a "¼ pound 100% Angus beef hot dog, cheddar cheese sauce, grilled jalapeños, chopped bacon, crispy fried onions, fresh-sliced avocado, and Mexican crema on a butter-toasted Big Dog roll." IT SLAPS. All the flavors work together, and I traveled to work after picking it up --- 20 minutes later it still HIT. And oh my goodness that toasted roll, it just elevates the experience! 2) Double Jalapeno Crema Smash ($7.99) - If you're a fan of Tex-Mex and grilled jalapenos, this item is for you! The heat pairs well with the Crema in the burger, to offer you both a heat and cool effect. It is smoky, rich, and spicy in all the right ways! Definitely recommend --- and NOT SOGGY from any grease! (There is bacon in my photo --- I added that!) In any case --- Smashburger has made a wonderful comeback, and I wish more people knew about it!! Until then, I will be frequenting this location because it taste better (and is CHEAPER) than Shake Shack and Five Guys, and I will not take that back!
