Look I don't know what this location has going on But this is a mess this evening. There was nobody outside directing traffic a doggone brawl almost happened. There are people arguing from car to car. Just completely unsafe all to get food from here. I usually only come during the day so there's people outside but there was nobody until I saw they were turning people away and decided to close the inside. Why I'm not sure but I saw dozens of people walk up to the door and turned away before 7pm. I just can't risk the safety of myself or kids to get chik fil a never knew I would have to be concerned with this here. Roughly two weeks ago, I went to a Chick-fil-A in MO. Arrived a few minutes before 9, walked in and started ordering. Roughly a minute later I was told "oh wait, we're closed." I stood in silence at first then said "wait...what? But I'm ordering, you also have like 30 people in drive though."; she stated, "Yea sorry we're closed, drive through is just different." So I advised her I will go though drive thru then and it's not nice while ordering,I'm being told you're closed. Another employee even told them the door was never locked and we still have people eating. Second Part, I went through drive though when I was stopped by one of the employees, as I explained what happened inside, she said they are closed, she finally told me that if I sit in the BACK of the car, they will take our order. After about 10 minutes of being in the drive though, no one taking our order, arriving to the window, we were starred at by your employees waving. After I stood there in the car demanding a manager, one finally showed up. He stated "not sure what happened but the door was closed." I told him that if it was closed, I would've never made it inside." He asked what it was that I wanted to eat and I told him the only reason we stopped was to get a few grilled chicken bits for our dogs because we just drove all the way from CALIFORNIA, to MO, on our way to Florida. We got the chicken. Let me tell you, I have been eating with you guys for at least 25 years, even more inclined when I was diagnosed with Celiacs disease and found out you have Gluten Free buns. It aggravated me so much that every time I drive by one I think of being told to sit in the back of the car. I have experienced the same unsettling issue twice. Today I went in and showed my email and app stating that I was to get a free salad. The staff would not honor it and stated that those were sent out by mistake and that corporate would not authorize their use. What? The clerks were more pleasant this time than the last time this happened. About a year ago when I tried to use a coupon for an 8 piece chicken nugget, unhelpful, rude employees flatly refused to honor the offer I was showing them. Every Chick-fil-A I have been to has the best customer service in fast food. This location is the closest to our house and it is just as good as the others. We have actually spent more time at the Blue Springs location. We prefer the shopping area and the atmosphere in Blue Springs, but I can't find anything at this location I would change. The food is great, the service is great, and people just seem to always be happier at this place. I went to this chick fil a today for the first time in serval years and let me tell you my experience was less than ideal. It took 20 minutes to get my food even though they pride themselves on being fast. I went and asked for my food but even then it took 5 more minutes to get my food. Reason: I can't go into Chick Fil-A without glancing at their dessert menu, which consists of shakes, ice cream, and brownies that are the counter. This month, they have a peppermint shake. It has atleast 2 inches of whipped cream on top, a cherry, and peppermint pieces that get pleasantly caught in the straw. It;s 2.87, that is tax included, and worth every penny of it. This location has been open since the summer. Next time I'll post a photo. It is over looking Independence Center, and is always busy. I was so happy to see it open, having eaten at the one on Metcalf quite often. The chicken is really good. It's a good taste, with even breading. The fries are waffle fries, and you get a nice portion. The bun is fresh, and I can order a chicken sandwich plain and they don't mess it up. I've not had the wraps, but I'm willing to try them.They are 4.85 for the sandwich. You can order online with a 50 cents processing fee. The restaurant still has a new look and feel. As my mother and I entered the building we were talking about how we always enjoy how kind and courteous the servers are at Chick fil a. We are not in our neck of the woods today and had not visited this location before. Sad to report our expectations were let down. Though I greeted the cashier with a smile she never returned one. I placed our order in a friendly way and asked a question about an offer on the signage outside. She was not only uninformed about the offer but was rude in answering me. Later, she asked what toppings I wanted on my yogurt and I misunderstood something, having never ordered like this before, and she was condescending and pushy. I had a horrible experience at this location - called in to the customer service number, but have never received a callback from the owner or manager. An employee was extremely rude and even called me an old lady in the drive thru. Ran up in between the girl in the window and my car while I was talking to her - I asked him to move away, he tried to get me to pull up into an adjacent parking lot but my order was at the window and I declined. He would not move, blocking my way, and was yelling at me as I was pulling away. Where are the adult managers?? I'm a big fan of the chicken here. Delicious. This is one of the better locations in KC. Avoid peak times, it gets hammered. They deal with it pretty well, but it does get a little too busy to deal with. Some of the CFA locations are real skimpy on sauces, you have to ask. This location has them all laid out so you don't have to wait in line or beg like Oliver Twist. Nice. Other locations should emulate this practice. The Lee's Summit store, for instance, is much stingier with the condiments. Like Culver's, they seem to hire a little better caliber of worker than the average fast food place. You rarely if ever get a slow, lazy person at the counter or anyone with attitude. They must screen their hires better, or not tolerate mediocrity like, for example. Mickey D's seems to. I would agree with some of the other comments that the it's fairly pricey for fast food, and the portion sizes are a little on the small side. I'd probably give them 5 stars if the bang for the buck factor was a little better. Ultimately, though, the tasty food and attentive service earn a solid 4. read more

The food was absolutely awful... I got it fixed twice but it was still not hot. It was cold. Barley room temperature. I didn't want to eat it... I just didn't want to keep complaining. The staff is super friendly and I really didn't want to be a hassle... it wasn't worth $10 for a meal because it was cold. The play place is alright, my daughter was entertained. It's just a bit small and the glass around the play room was really gross like it's never cleaned. The employees rush to buss a table immediately after a guest leaves. WHICH IS GREAT. They just don't wipe the tables down like they should. There are still drops of salt or sauce on a few of the booths in here and finger prints everywhere. The floor has draw wrappers and crumbs everywhere. I would give this place 2/5 stars. Just work on the cleanliness and the food prep.
