Culver's is top tier fast food in my opinion. I frequent this location on a regular basis. I always order on the drive thru, so I cannot comment on the dine in experience. I've had a few instances where condiments are not in the bag. This used to happen a lot more in the past, but it seemed to be better lately. The staff generally does a great job. If you haven't been to Culver's, you really can't go wrong. But burgers are an obvious solid choice. Both the cheese curds and onion rings are amazing sides. One sleeper pick is the fish. Culver's fried cod looks like something you would get at a pub. They also do walleye seasonally around Lent. This is what you get when you order mashed potatoes and gravy. They must be proud of the portioning. By the way the container has a quarter of an inch deep indent in the bottom of it as well. I will never understand the obsession with Culver's. So few places are offering Cheese Curds anymore and so with Sonic getting rid of Ched R Bites I figured I'd come back to Culver's after a decade+ and give it another shot. Well, that was a mistake. Why does a place from Wisconsin get their cheese curds frozen from Cysco? Seriously they should be disowned by CheddarHeads for that. They aren't even good frozen cheese curds. They taste like the cheap Snapps brand you get at the grocery store. Lastly, putting butter on top of a bun does not make a butter-burger. Im sure they've since changed their marketing on the burger but it was still just as dry and flavorless as ever. So maybe if they would have changed the burger to meet the marketing they could have a better product on their hand. Service was good and usually worth an extra star but the fact that a Wisconsin staple has such terrible cheese curds just makes this place irredeemable. read more

Not sure why all the hate here on Yelp. In my experience, this location is pretty great. There's a decent amount of parking. The dining room is very clean and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. They always greet you as you enter. The menu is broken down into sections and is easy to read. I highly recommend one of their ButterBurgers, the cheese curds, and a shake. You order first and a staff member will bring the food to your table when it's ready. There's a drink station where you can fill/refill your own drinks. Definitely worth checking out if you've never had Culver's before and you are in the area. read more

I stopped by the drive thru at the Little Blue Parkway location in Independence on an early Thursday afternoon for a fish sandwich. I hadn't been to a Culver's for at least a year due to a couple of unfortunate experiences, but I had a coupon, so I thought I'd give them another try. I ordered their Icelandic cod fillet sandwich, regular fries, and a chocolate shake, for which I had a $1 coupon. My total came to $11 - a bit more pricey than your ordinary burger joint. The chocolate shake was delightful - rich, creamy, and chocolatey - thick, but not too hard to suck through the straw. The crinkle-cut fries were hot, with the perfect balance of crispy and tasty. They didn't include ketchup, but luckily I had a couple of packets in my car. But the sandwich? No. Just - no. First of all, it was excessively small. It had apparently shrunken in the last year. It looked fine, except for its size. It was appropriately hot, and had lettuce shreds, cheese shreds, and what I assume was tartar sauce on it. The texture was fine. But it was absolutely devoid of flavor. It was like biting into a movie prop made to look like and feel like a fish sandwich. No flavor at all. I looked at it. I sniffed it. No scent. If I hadn't just enjoyed the taste and smell of fries and a shake I'd have thought the Covid-19 had stripped me of my ability to taste and smell. There was absolutely no flavor at all. None. Zip. Zilch. Nada. I don't know how they did it. But they somehow managed to produce an absolutely flavorless fish sandwich. For $11, I expect more than fries and a shake. Independence finally got a Culver's. It's easy to forget that it's there, I mean, Independence doesn't get many places, and I usually end up eating somewhere in Lee's Summit. That actually includes Google Fiber, even though you don't eat Google Fiber. I did remember that Culver's was there, and stopped in to eat. I ordered my usual patty melt with French fries,I think it was only 7.69 or something. Came with a medium drink. I really like Culvers. I've never had a bad experience at one, and the cheeseburgers are really good. Seriously, it's way better than McDonald's,and at the price of a quarter pounder, skip it and go to Culvers. the Swiss cheese tastes like Swiss cheese, and not cardboard. There's alot of it, and I enjoyed the sandwich. I found excellent service, and a clean dining room. I didn't appreciate a couple of the staff complaining about how long their work hours were in front of the customers. That needs to be done away from customers. We went to Culver's for the very first time tonight (Little Blue Pkwy location). I was looking for somewhere to get a good ice cream sundae and Culver's came up in google when I was looking so, we figured we would give it a shot. For dinner we ordered a Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Onion Rings for my wife and a Double Cheeseburger (with Everything) basket for me. We got charged for a Grilled Chicken Basket ($3.40 difference, should have rung up at 5.89 instead rang up at 9.29) and then we got charged $1.30 for the onion rings. The onion rings should have been 3.49, I finally figured out that since the basket includes Fries, we got charged the difference between the Fries and the Onion Rings ($1.30). So, we should have been charged $9.39 and instead we were charged 10.59. When the food came out my Double Cheeseburger with everything had nothing on it. I took it back to the counter and explained the problem to the manager. No apology offered that I recall but she asked if I wanted all the trimmings on the side, I said no, please put them on the burger. She proceeded to give them to me on the side. I was charged an extra 20 cents for the "everything". We then went out to patio to eat our food. I had to clean the table off from someone spilling ice cream at some point in the past. Sat down, put my burger together, got most of the way through it and realized that it had not come with any Cheese. Not sure what the price difference was but I got charged for the double Cheeseburger and was given the double burger. We finished eating and since I was really there for the ice cream, we went in to order our ice cream. My wife ordered a Chocolate Concrete Mini. They come with 2 sides so she added Cookie Dough and Brownie Pieces. I ordered a Caramel Cashew Sundae. They bring me 2 nasty looking concoctions, don't look like any of the pictures in the place. I then decided to talk to the manager. There was a guy in front of me waiting to talk to the manager too. Manager comes out and the guy explains his issues and she goes to take care of him. Then she starts helping in the front. I catch her attention and explained that I needed to talk to her too. I tell her about the chicken basket, I tell her about the double cheeseburger with no cheese and no everything and then I show her the ice cream concoctions and ask if they look like any of the pictures. She then tells me that what I have is not a sundae but is a concrete mini, so I ask her why that is when I ordered and paid for a sundae. She asks me if I want the sundae instead and I'm like duh, yes. I did not ask for any money back and at the end she apologized, very poorly, with an I'm sorry. Manager was young, as was the crew, need a lot off training in handling customers if you ask me. We then went back outside to eat our concoctions which is when I noticed that we got charged an extra 35 cents on my wife's concrete mini. We got charged for 1 of the 2 add ins. They charged he for the chocolate as if it were an add in, it is not supposed to be, it says clearly on the menu concrete, chocolate or vanilla up to 2 add ins. After we ate the ice cream I went back in. The front of the restaurant had no customers in it but about 10 or so workers. I decided to take the opportunity to inform the girls who had rang up our desserts of the screw ups. Somebody came to help her and asked me if I wanted the 35 cents back. I told her no, that it is not about the money, that it is about this being our first time ever in a Culver's and having 4 mistakes in one order. It was actually 5 mistakes, I realized later. I gave a quick little lecture on if you want to keep customers coming back that this isn't the way to do it. That this is about caring enough about your job to do it properly. Probably went in one ear and out the other, but I tried. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being best, I give it a 2), I did not give it a zero because at least the people working there seemed nice. Culver's in Independence is finally here and I was excited to give it a try the other day with Hubby. I was quite hungry, so ordered a double Sourdough Melt Combo, as did hubs. Maybe it was me, but it wasn't as tasty as the butter burgers I'm more familiar with. The grilled onions were so skimpy that they might as well have left them off the sandwich and hubby and I both noticed that each sandwich had one lone dill pickle slice which was kind of laughable. Have pickles suddenly become a scarce commodity? I did like the flavor of the grilled bread--the butter flavor really came through and the crinkle cut fries were first rate. The service at this location is still one of Culver's strengths --- friendly, cheerful, helpful and the sandwiches & fries reached our table very quickly after our order was placed. I've always enjoyed visits to other Culver locations and I know I will give this one another chance to 'wow me' soon. But for now, I am giving this facility a solid three-star rating. read more

Went to Culvers twice while on vacation in Missouri and it was amazing. Best ice cream I've ever had and the guy making it (Dalton) was by far the best fast-food worker I've ever encountered. If I could give zero stars I would. This Culvers is consistently horrible when it comes to getting orders right for my family. In fact they are so bad at it that I can't remember the last time we didn't have to go back inside to either get fries that they forgot to put in when we ordered basket MEALS or have them fix a mistake such as getting a single burger when a double was ordered. The only reason we even still eat here is because my mother is gluten intolerant and they are one of very few places she can eat a burger thanks to the gluten free buns. I highly recommend eating somewhere else as while the food is great the service is ridiculously bad. They will even repeat back to you exactly what you ordered and still type it in wrong so that you get the wrong thing when they bring it out then, you don't even have proof that it was wrong thanks to their mistakes with simply pressing buttons like they did tonight. My family is going to try to find other places we can eat from now on as this lazy and bad service has been an ongoing problem for the last YEAR! read more
