3.5 stars. I was hesitant to come to Five Guys Burgers & Fries only because it wasn't that good when I tried it back in California. I decided to come here with my coworkers since I was probably going to try out this place anyways. We probably came just before 12pm so there weren't a lot of people here. I ordered a cheeseburger ($5.19) with lettuce, tomatoes, grilled mushrooms and bbq sauce along with a regular drink ($1.89). If you've never been to a Five Guys Burger & Fries, then the thing to remember was the fact that all of the toppings were included. There was a list of ingredients that you could put in your burger. I didn't order any fries because a few of my coworkers were going to share theirs. Our orders were ready after a few minutes. If I had to compare this to what I ordered in California, then I would say the only difference was the fact that my cheeseburger didn't have soggy buns which the other one in California had. I'm not sure if it was only my burger or if everybody's burgers was like mine but the cheese wasn't melted; in addition, the buns weren't heated. Other than those things, my cheeseburger was pretty good. I tried the regular fries as well as the cajun fries. I think the cajun fries tasted better. I didn't eat any of the free peanuts only because I felt like it doesn't really complement the burger/fries combo. On the wall, they had a bulletin board with a bunch of cards that people posted up. One of my coworkers decided to write on a card and put all of our names. I think she decided to do that because we saw one card that had a double rainbow. If you've seen that youtube video about the double rainbow, then you'll understand what we wrote on our card to post under it. The card with the double rainbows said, "5 Guys all the way" and our card, in the corner, said, "What does it mean?" lol! Sunday 07/10/2022 Two burgers,two med fries and two milkshakes...$47.59!!!! The employees opened late and looked like they had just woken up and unprepared when they did open. The cashier was unfriendly to the point of rude! And even more absurd is they provide no customer service and expect to be tipped! You place you order at the cashier counter and wait,wait and wait for your order number to be called where you walk up and pickup your order yourself and even then our milkshakes had not been made yet! Then you get to clear your own table which was unwashed and greasy at the opening of the restaurant and try to get someones attention to give you a go bag that isn't soaked in grease for what you haven't eaten to take home! Liberty MO 5 Guys - Employees / Manager talk among themselves and ignore customers. Ordering ahead / Online is completely ineffective. Out of the many times we've ordered ahead online here, our food never even begins to be made until several minutes after we arrive to pick it up. Yesterday, we ordered 2 burgers and 1 fry online (ordered ahead) at around 5. Order was set for 5:45 pick up. We show up at 5:45 to pick up the food. After being allowed to watch the employees (and manager as well) chat among themselves for a few minutes on topics unrelated to the job, we were finally acknowledged and told that our food would be right up. We then got the luxury of watching a soccer team (not making that up) order and receive their food, while still waiting on ours. All while being reminded by one employee that our food was being made, which it was not even began to be made until well after he was assuring us of such. After a while, we were presented with our long awaited meals... Which were made completely wrong and half of the order was missing... Once more, we got to go through the routine of the employee saying food was on its way... no apology, no recognition of any wrong doings by employees or manager. After receiving our corrected order and getting an apology, which I had to request from them. I sincerely doubt we will ever be back to this establishment. My suggestion would be to start putting attention to customers as your priority. Rather than employee crosstalk unrelated to the job at hand. Managers engaging in the same activities are simply providing a very poor example of work ethic. Also, it may be wise not to tell people their food is currently being made if it is not, when the same people can see what food is being made. read more

Me and my family have frequented this specific location for quite some time. It has steadily gone down hill. This last time was by far the worst. Our order took a long time, people after of us got their order way before us and we only had one extra burger. Then our orders came out wrong. And our Cajun fries were more Cajun spice than French fry rendering them inedible. When asking for our grilled green pepper and jalapeños we got nothing but attitude. When 5 Guys came to California 10 or so years ago, I like many others there temporarily gave up In-N-Out to try the new guys from the East Coast. They are meatier and heartier in all forms than In-N-Out. But, they are also about twice the price of a typical In-N-Out burger. Other than being freezing cold inside we had a great time here. Private lot to park in. Ordered immediately and staff was kind enough to make sure we didn't want to add anything else to our burgers, which we didn't, but it is nice they asked. Food was served quickly and let's just say the fries are ginormous. Order a small and plan on sharing with your friends. Cajun was excellent. Burgers were super fresh, cooked well, and I wouldn't have changed a thing. The fresh jalapeños were excellent and added a nice crispness to the burger. The cheese melted on the burger since it was so fresh so it was basically the perfect burger. Huge place inside. Clean. Bathrooms were clean. Staff stayed busy while we are there. Nine bucks wasted. This was my second trip to Five Guys in about five years. I had hoped that my first trip was just a mistake, that they had a bad day and could do better. I had lettuce, pickles, and mustard on my burger. It tasted like lettuce, pickles, and mustard. The beef had zero taste at all. After I got my order, I watched the cook take a giant press and put his weight into it, squeezing out all the flavor from the meat. I was able to take out just a little of the meat alone and taste it without bread and toppings. It had no flavor at all. They post all these awards around that they have the "best burger" but it's just got to be a lie. In order for it to be the best tasting burger, it's got to have some taste to it. What happened to this establishment?! We've been eating here occasionally for years and always received fast, friendly service and delicious food. Last night was a mess. They didn't start cooking our online order until well after the pickup time we were given (and I don't mean the fries, which they always do fresh), two of our burgers were undercooked, and the meat was decidedly lower quality than we've always experienced in the past. Not sure whether it's just this franchise location being poorly managed or if Five Guys as a whole is taking a dive. I've been to the Five Guys in Ward Parkway center and liked the food, but the service at this Liberty location beats the pants off the other one! I placed an order online, did you know you could do that???, and drove to pick up my food. When I walked in I went right up to the pick up counter and stated that I had an order to go. The manager immediately asked if I was "Emily" which made me feel special! They started a chorus of "Hi Emily"s, making jokes and carrying on. It was fun to see them enjoying their jobs. We're here the other day to get something to eat. When I asked him about putting salt and pepper on my burger before they cooked it on the grill they told me they didn't know how to do that. I also told him that it was an option on the register so they could bring it up properly and the person ringing up the order acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. When I talk to the manager about the issue he acted like it didn't concern him at all. That point I did call their corporate office made a complaint and have never heard back from them. Overall a pretty good restaurant but with EXCELLENT burgers. There is nothing too special about the environment in the restaurant, the employees are polite. The real wow-factor is in the burgers and fries. Not only do you get a juicy, greasy, delicious burger, but you also get a TON of fries. Seriously, a small fry can be split between 3 people. I highly recommend the cajun fries over the regular ones. I wouldn't say this restaurant has a kid-friendly menu but their hotdogs aren't too bad! My husband, son and I eat here about once or twice a month. Usually things are great. Every now and then something goes awry, like having to sit and wait for 20 minutes, only to discover that your food has been ready the whole time and no one bothered to tell you. That has only happened once, but it really should never have happened. Most of the employees are friendly and all of them are curteous. If there is ever a problem with the order, they always fix it as best they can. Sometimes the burgers are ridiculously small, but usually they are about the same size as the bun or even a little bigger and they are always delicious. I love that you can order exactly what you want on the burger so you don't end up having to tell someone that you want a number 7, but hold half of the toppings. We usually order the fries with no salt, and they are still good fries. Nice and crispy on the outside, though sometimes they are a little over-done. We have not tried the sandwiches, but my son is a huge fan of the cheese dogs and the peanuts, which serve as a free appetizer. Sitting and waiting for a fresh burger is much easier for a kid when there are peanuts to occupy their mind...and their mouth. read more

Ate at this location a couple of weeks ago. I've enjoyed the burgers, but this one...same order as always, grilled onions, ketchup, and mustard...had a very off taste. I can't really identify it, but is wasn't good. I didn't get sick or anything, it just wasn't a hamburger I want to repeat. Fries same as before, kind of limp but fairly tasty. There are a lot of places where you can buy a great hamburger. This is not one of them. In spite of all the posters on the walls inside the restaurant proclaiming great burgers, they are just average from my perspective. Anyone who gives them a 5-star rating needs to dine out more often. read more

We don't have a 5 Guys in the town I live in but if there. Is one in a place we are traveling we will always stop for lunch. These are the "real deal' burgers: good beef, juicy nothing fancy but so delicious. I'm a French fry lover and theirs are the best.
