This poor hot dog, a 5 year old wouldn't even eat it. :(

This place has really went downhill since they no longer use waiters. The burgers are in pieces, the hotdog was burnt and dried out.

We have literally been waiting for 12 minutes on one large onion ring in the drive thru. Two cars behind us that ordered in the drive thru already left. Only reason we haven't left yet is because we paid right when we pulled up to the window. What ridiculous service. I should've looked to see they only had 2 stars before we showed up. 2 stars for this place makes sense though! Please don't wast your time... skip this place.

Spicy Chipotle Steakburger and fries

I ate a late lunch (2pm) and a lot of people were here eating. The decor reminded me of Johnny Rockets. I sat down and looked at the menu. There were a wide variety of food from hot dogs to steakburgers to chili to ice cream. I ordered the Spicy Chipotle Steakburger ($4.99) and a coke for a total of $7.58. The other burgers on the menu sounded good so I'll definitely coming back. It took awhile for my food to come out but it finally came to my table. I took pictures and apparently nobody has seen people here take pictures of their food. The reason why I wrote that was because I heard somebody say, "Wow he's taking a picture of his food!" Well, prepare yourselves because I'll be taking pictures of my food every chance I can get when I'm living here. lol The Spicy Chipotle Steakburger should be named "Chipotle Steakburger" because it wasn't spicy one bit. It was pretty good and I ate it pretty quick. The fries were tiny and I meant that literally. I'm not used to fries that tiny but it was still good. I'll be back to try other steakburgers!

Operating Hours

This place has really gone down hill. We showed up about 9:15pm to dine in the lobby for a shake. Turns out the employees and manager here don't want people inside at all... The doors were locked 45 minutes before closing! I understand locking the doors a little before closing. But there was more than enough time to serve us a shake. There were several other groups inside dining as well. If you want better service, better burgers, better fries, better desserts, and for about the same price, go across the street to Freddy's. Don't waste your time here, because they apparently don't want your business.

The garlic burger is amazing! This was my first time at S&S but it won't be my last. Service was courteous and fast.

We always walk through all of the shops here in River Market but had not gotten a chance to try a tenderloin or anything else here. The two younger gentleman working here were super friendly and did a great job for us. The menu seems to be pretty simple but has a few options you don't typically see - a burger and tenderloin put on the same bun; and pig snoot. We settled for the original tenderloin and fries for both of our meals. It was cooked pretty fast and when it arrived in its paper bag, we could not wait to dive in. The fries are seriously some of the best I have ever had. They are such a perfect balance of tender and crispy! The tenderloin was smaller than you would expect but considering the toppings I picked, I though the sandwich was full of flavor. It is not the best tenderloin I've had, nor the biggest, but I would happily get this again given the chance. Overall, I had high expectations for this place and for the most part, these expectations were met. I can't wait to come back and get more fries and try more of their menu!

They have lots of pickled items. And even premade meals like pot pies, breakfast burritos, mac & cheese, and the last time I was in a stroganoff. In addition to food, they also have a few drink options like bottles of wine and beer. They even have dog food and dog treats. The store itself is decent sized. There's plenty of space for a few people to move around. They do have a large deli counter and a few coolers full of goodness. Service is always excellent. They are always helpful and can even offer suggestions if you don't know what to make with what. One of my go-tos are any one of their sausages. They have traditional ones plus a few fun ones. And if you watch their social media, they'll usually tell you when they have a limited addition one. The Rieger whiskey and apple sausage is one of my favorites. They also have a chicken curry sausage, which is excellent and has so much curry flavor. On my last visit I noticed that they have mac & cheese that you can take to go. They have a few different varieties, but I went with one with bacon because their bacon is always fantastic. It was a really good side. I slapped it on the grill to warm it up and it was delicious. Highly recommend. If you are in the city market area definitely stop in and check out what they have.

And I'm so excited because what goes better with a beer than a burger? My answer is pretty much nothing and thank goodness Burn Theory has got you covered. The special of the evening was a kimchi smash burger. One thing about me is I love anything fermented so, kimchi is one of my favorite things. Surprisingly I had never had it as a burger condiment before so, I was ready to try something fresh and new. It didn't disappoint! It was delicious. The smash burger patty was juicy and had lacey edges just like a proper smasher should, sometimes certain places forget the importance of those crispy edges. Not here! The kimchi wasn't an afterthought at all, it was more than a condiment slapped on top of the burger instead it was piled high and added just the right amount of zippy slightly spicy flavor. The cheese oozed out of the burger and melded with the lacey edges to create an impeccable bite, I'm still thinking of it a week later. I can't wait to try more burger renditions on the menu because this one definitely got high marks. There are other things on the menu as well if a burger isn't your speed but don't expect anything too fancy this is bussin' bar food that pairs exceptionally with a brew.

The tacos were really tasty. There's crispy cheese on all the tortillas! Delicious. The black bean taco is a great vegetarian option.

Brewed for May 1st or "Bock Day", it has notes of malty honey with a slight caramel finish, and a 7.7% ABV. It was refreshing and very good! There are plenty of tv screens mounted throughout the building and with plenty of World Cup matches being played in different venues, it was easy to watch the different group play that was going on. And lo and behold in the corner there were 3 pinball machines! (I was really loving this place by now.) We had a great time playing them. Then, at the other end in the corner was a place where one can order pizza - which I can attest to it being very, very good.
