Average breakfast burrito. And for $11 I probably wouldn't come back. $7 sure and they'd probably get 4 stars. But $11 is crazy

The best Mexican food I've had in a long time. Always hot and fresh. Customer service was excellent. The place could use a little upgrade but not a big deal. Overall the food is phenomenal. We have dined here about 6 times in the last 2 weeks. lol

I had the Poblano Burrito Plate which comes covered in a white queso, rice and beans on the side and a drink. It was absolutely delicious! My wife had a shrimp taco and a fish taco. She said they were both fantastic! We will definitely be going back the next time we are in the area.

This place is pretty alright. I got steak potato fries and they were pretty good. The steak was delicious, the fries were alright. Definitely add some salsa and ask for guac then it would've been perfect. Chicken quesadilla was massive, my husband liked it a lot. We were definitely not a fan of their rice and beans. Beans tasted like they've gone bad and rice tasted like it was old. All the other food we got tasted fresh though! Not my favorite but it's close to home and would be my go to place for carne asada fries for sure. My husband also really liked their Queso.

We have been driving by this place for a very long time. My wife moved here from CA 4 years ago, and she's been craving CA Style Mexican (like TexMex but better). However, most places in the Midwest that say CA Style, is not even close. That's why it took us forever to visit. We decided to go through the drive through. I'm from MO, I'm not picky on Mexican. We got Rolled Tacos. Tell you what, they were amazing. We decided to go back a couple days later. She got shredded beef tacos, and I got a chicken Quesadilla. At first I was confused as to why it was 10 bucks, until he handed me the quesadilla... this thing was HUGE. The picture doesn't do it justice. I couldn't finish it. I'm excited to try other stuff on the menu! Oh, and my wife said this reminds her of home. So it os truly CA style Mexican!

My burrito was mostly tortilla. The burrito wasn't even wrapped correctly just thrown together. This location's food is always inconsistent.

It is very large, and she liked it. I ordered the half size quesadilla with chicken. Both dishes were served with shredded chicken. I'm not sure if grilled chicken was an option or possibly available at a higher price. But, the only thing I would recommend is more flavor/seasoning in the shredded chicken. Our table did not have silverware, but we just grabbed it off another table. And, the waiter brought extra napkins without us having to ask. Music was playing in the restaurant, but we were also seated near an employee on break who was blasting music and not using headphones. It was hard for us to enjoy our dining experience listening to two different songs at the same time for 15 minutes. But, this can easily be corrected by having employees use headphones or not play loud music during their break.

My daughter in law decided to treat me to dinner and since we kept seeing this restaurant pop up on our community awareness page with great reviews, we decided to try it. When I tell you we wanted to leave after we got the chips and salsa, it's bad. Nothing on the menu looked good, but we decided to stay and try the food even though the salsa wasn't giving us "this is going to be good" vibes. We ordered chicken nachos, tamales, fajitas, and my granddaughter just wanted meat and rice, so they brought a picadillo style hamburger meat. Let's get into this salsa. It literally tasted like watered down tomato sauce with a couple chinos of onion and cilantro in it. The chips were good, but definitely deserved a better salsa. My daughter in law said it tasted like watered down ketchup. Then the nachos came out. These nachos, man, they needed help, so much help. The chicken was dry, there was no cheese on the nachos, and the toppings were located in just the middle of the nachos, they weren't evenly distributed. I couldn't even pour salsa on them to help them because well the salsa was terrible. Main dishes came out. Food was hot, I'll give them that. The fajitas didn't have your signature sizzling plate which kind of killed the vibe. The meat was tender, I'll give them that, but it had no flavor, it was fatty, and the ratio of meat to vegetables was 1 to 2. We were given 4 tortillas and it was literally enough for 2 full tacos because they were so thin, you had to use 2 tortillas per taco. It came with the standard sides: rice, beans, lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo. The rice was hard and bland, like it was undercooked and only tomato sauce was used to "color" the rice. The beans honestly didn't even taste like pinto beans, they just tasted like nothing. My granddaughter's plate came out, they made sure it was a cold plate so she didn't burn herself. The meat was greasy and tasted like cat food smells, if that makes sense. Her rice was hard as well. She didn't eat hardly any of it. The tamales were probably the best thing at the restaurant other than the sweet tea. I was a little disappointed because we didn't get the full tamale experience by being able to unwrap them. They were pork tamales and definitely had good flavor. The service was decent, they came back and checked on us several times. All in all, we definitely won't be back.

The decor is a total throwback to Nickelodeon's show Guts from the 90s. Even if it isn't intentional, I retro-loved it. The salsa is smoky and a little spicy and pairs perfectly with their thin crispy chips. I've been to MANY Mexican restaurants in my lifetime, and this is probably the best salsa of this style I've ever had. For my entree, I tried something I've never even heard of. Carne en su Jugo is steak with beans in tomatillo based soup. Honestly I was shocked. It was delicious, spicy, full of flavor and so simple but extremely well done. With this chilly weather, it warmed me up in the best of ways. I could only finish half of it and I am so excited to finish it for lunch tomorrow. Unfortunately, the tortillas are not made in house. I would love to see more restaurants doing this. Our waitress was attentive and kind, bringing beverages and checking on us with appropriate frequency. We will be back, and frequently!

Inside it is very functional yet still has padded booths, a nicely tiled bar with lots of light effects and a more comfortable atmosphere to dine in. This place does a lot to exhibit that they want customers to come in and dine and stay for a few drinks. Only downside... It was freezing! The two tables near me continually talked about how cold it was and I didn't even take off my sport coat to eat because it was cold inside. Now to be fair it is spring as I write this and no one has their settings for A/C or Heat set correctly yet. But, for now... 3 stars The Staff - I didn't see much staff, but, it was lunchtime so maybe there weren't that many working yet. The gal that showed me to my table was very nice. And the one who took my order was quick and efficient but that was the only time I saw her. A cook from the kitchen brought me the hot plate of food. And the gal that seated me is the one that checked to see if I needed anything else and brought me the check. Polite and Nice... not necessarily friendly. 3 Stars The Food - I ordered one of the lunch plates. The burrito and a taco with refried beans. Both the burrito and the taco were ground beef. Their flavor was good. I felt that the meal lacked a little pizzazz but was generally tasty. Chips and salsa were also included and while both were good... they were just good. Solid 4 stars for the food. Overall - This place was fine for lunch. I will try to see if I can have dinner here some time to get a more comprehensive feel of the place. For now I think they are going to sit at 3 Stars. Nothing wrong with this place. But, no story or anything drastically outstanding and memorable.
