I've had lunch here three times, and all three times have been amazing. Our server is always polite and timely, filling drinks and getting orders with professionalism and kindness. Try the carnitas, they're the best I've had in a restaurant. We've only been sat in the area in front of the bar, which has a large screen tv. If you're looking to watch sports and chow down on the tastiest salsa I've had in Jackson county, this is your spot! If you blink you'll miss it, tucked into a strip of businesses on Hwy 7. The service was great and the restaurant was clean. The chips were stale and the salsa honestly tasted like it came out of a jar. The food wasn't bad. Something in our meal was over salted. I got the carne asada which was bad but the corn tortillas were definitely store bought. My husband got the seafood chimichanga and he felt like the food was way over salted. I'm encouraged! After moving to Blue Springs over a year ago we might have FINALLY found a good place to go for our Mexican Food fix. I'm partial to a great chicken tortilla soup and theirs is about as good as any I've had. Full of chicken, fresh avocado chunks, flavorful broth and fresh cilantro. I've also enjoyed their chili rellano, tamales, burritos and tacos. I was happy with all of them. And... I don't usually bother eating rice and refried beans but my PC encouraged me to taste them. They were actually really flavorful. I like the chips and salsa too. I've been twice and both times my server was professional and courteous. We decided to try another Mexican restaurant in Blue Springs while we were here for a soccer tournament. This place was much better than the first place we tried. There were actually people eating there...which was a good sign. The service was so friendly! The food and drinks were good but not exactly our taste for Mexican food. The chips and salsa were good. The queso was mediocre but better with some salsa mixed in. The margarita was pretty average too...not my favorite...but not my least favorite. We tried the sampler appetizer and really liked the chicken taquito. The cheese quesadilla and guacamole were good too. We didn't care for the nachos. Sometimes, you just need a good Tex-Mex fix. This place came to my rescue. We came in because it was Taco Tuesday, but the specials board boasted a pork carnitas plate, and who am I to argue with a recommendation like that?? I am a carnitas nut, so that's what I went with. These were some of the best I've had in ages. No fatty pieces, perfectly seasoned, and just the right amount of crispness! My husband had the carnitas burrito and felt the same way. Plus, that thing was huge. He can usually take down these beasts, but this foe was a bit too formidable. Lucky for me since I was the one who got to take the rest for lunch the next day. The salsa was fresh and delicious. The queso was just a simple bowl of cheese, but still tasty. I even liked the rice and beans and I almost never like them. The margarita was a little heavy on the sweet 'n sour, less on the tequila (I prefer the opposite). The service was prompt and courteous, though it got a little slower as our meal went on. We have eaten here before, and the better time to go is dinner time for the best experience.Tonight we went for Taco Tuesday, and it was the best of any restaurant we've tried. The tacos were not over-filled with lettuce as most restaurants will do for Taco Tuesday, but these tacos were stuffed with flavor-filled ground beef topped with cheese and chopped tomatoes. 03/17/2023 went to the bar to have drinks with chips n salsa. I asked for a wine and my husband asked for a margarita. The glass I got was cracked and cut my lip I made no fuss and just asked for a new drink the man poured my drink into another class and I look down and tell him the glass is dirty and has another person lip stick stain on the glass. He proceeds to take the lime off the rim that was on the lipstick part put it on another glass and pour the drink into another cup. At this point I'm ready to go and ask for the check to leave. I pay for my total leaving NO tip for my horrible services. To only find that the company decided to add in their own tip thinking I wouldn't notice a new charge. I call to speak to the manger for him to tell me he doesn't know how to refund my money back on to my card. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. I give ZERO stars read more

We have found our go-to Mexican restaurant! They've only been here two weeks but I have a feeling they'll be very successful. Upon walking in you're immediately greeted and ushered to a seat. They have booths and tables to accommodate your preference. The restaurant is brightly colored and open. The music is Spanish but not overly loud, allowing you to still enjoy a conversation and still be able to hear! The waiter brought water with lemon and chips with salsa within 1 Minute of seating us, and leaving menus for us to browse. The menu is extensive and sure to please everyone in your party. We chose lunch specials but you wouldn't know that by the size of the portions! They are huge. We had to get to go boxes because we couldn't finish all of the food. The price is equally impressive. You get a lot of food for as much money as you'd spend running through a quick drive-thru. Our waiter was so nice and helpful. Neither mine or my husband's drink glass fell below 1/2 way. They were prompt with the refills. Now.. on to the food. DELICIOUS!! I ordered the chicken fajitas. That's the dish I always gauge a New Mexican restaurant with. Delicious is honestly an understatement. The chicken was tender, juicy, and very flavorful. You can instantly tell it's made from scratch. The peppers and onions are cooked with a little bit of crisp left. We are so impressed and are already planning a return trip. Only 3 stars because of the lackluster food . I've never been to a more gringo , bland Mexican restaurant. Had high hopes because the waitstaff were Latino (as am I). Let me start by identifying myself ethnically. I was born and raised in Chicago. I am Puerto Rican and Mexican. I grew up eating a fusion of Mexican food from Michoacán and a variety of Puerto Rican cuisine. I moved out to Blue Springs, MO in June. We ordered this food the first week we arrived. Before ordering, we called and asked if it was authentic Mexican food. I even went on to ask what region of Mexico. This food was pretty good! We have it a 5-star after tasting food from Sabor Latino (no seasonings). The food at Casa Mexico was delicious. We had carne asada, burritos, tacos, flautas and their salsa tomatillo is delicious. While ordering a pick up order I noticed that they charge double the price for cheese dip. It says $4.24 for a small but they charged me $8.50 for a damn small cup of cheese dip. Not going back there anymore. Ponchos has better cheese dip anyways. At a reasonable price. read more

But because we are passing through and seeing family we had to get some "to go" food to take back to our room at La Quintana (our LAST stay at La Quintana). I'll review them later. We called in for some an appetizer, chips, salsa, and guacamole. Just some heavy things to put us in a cheese coma. The Cheesy Crisp was different and yummy. Fried flour tort covered in melted goodness. We also had the sampler that had a quesadilla and a taquito some nachos and the standard garnish. We also got beans and rice. All was very good, fresh and hot. For $21 we got a lot of food. Two plastic bags full! The reason I picked Casa Mexico was the pictures on Yelp with "real" chips. Getting real chips from a Mexican restaurant is mandatory. Chips from a bag are like getting one sided toasted Texas Toast at a BBQ place. A giant flag from the food police. I had the carnitas burrito that was at least a mile long. The rest had rice beans tacos and chimichangas. Guac and pico super! Ok so food was dynamite ....the service was beyond compare. Wow, this is one of the most difficult reviews! Here's the breakdown. Service= 5 stars Cheese sauce with chorizo= 5 stars holy yum! Chicken and steak Fajitas= 4 stars. (Very good) Tamales=3 stars (lacking flavor) Seafood enchiladas=3 stars (decent if you love seafood) Beef Burrito= 2 stars (no flavor) Chicken enchiladas=1 Star (seriously had no salt or flavor.) Salsa= 2-3 stars the regular was okay, the hot was not good. Overall It wasn't too bad, the fajitas were pretty good. All the other dishes were seriously lacking in flavor and salt. DO NOT GO HERE!! I took a chance on a new restaurant and the food was bland, the service was good, but the margarita I had was watered down and bland. That was all tolerable but the waiter charging my card for my meal and then somebody else's meal was NOT ACCEPTABLE! I called furious that my card was charged twice my bill $42.93 with an additional charge $58.28 but when I called, the waiter Sergio told me I gave him permission to charge my card for another tables meal. I DID NOT AND NEITHER DID MY BF. Then when I said I was furious he told me my money would be back into my account by tomorrow. He kept telling me "it's okay" NO IT IS NOT OKAY because the money shouldn't have been taken out of my account in the first place. The additional table he charged me for was no one at my table. Stopped by on my way through town and was very pleased with the decision. Chips were excellent and salsa complemented it very well. Went with something unusual for me - chicken tortilla soup. Very tasty with lots and lots of shredded chicken. Now this soup also has fresh onion, tomato, and avocado that aren't cooked, so be prepared for that. All that gives a fresh taste to the soup.
