But today I got my wife back from a long road trip and I said where do you wanna go for lunch and she said any place that's air-conditioned how about CPK? I said you bet. Eddie was a great great server and on top of it for the moment we sat down. I am still in shock over what they call lunch duos the amount of delicious food that you get from a very reasonable price is incredible. I had the famous chop salad and a turkey club, which I didn't even touch and brought home. It was that big. Deb had their Famous, Hawaiian Pizza, and a chop salad... I'm still just thinking wow! Aside from that, I really just want to talk about that pizza. I've lived in italy and I've tried pizza throughout san diego, and it's hands down the best pizza you will find resembling the classic napolitana style. It's superb. It's delectable. It's going to be your favorite pizza. It needs to be marketed better, but then it would probably form unbearable lines, so I'll keep the secret. That pizza is everything! That is all.

You wouldn't know there were beats in it aside from the color, it tastes pretty close to a standard, chickpea hummus. Found inside the harvest market deli cooler with the snacks & drinks near the prepared salads to grab & go items. They have lots of fresh produce, fresh bread, and packaged cracker chip items to purchase and enjoy with it. It was cool creamy and refreshing. I enjoyed it with some fresh artisan bread. Nice filling, healthy snack. The market has a variety of fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, including edible ones, a small Café with hot and cold, freshly made drinks, including the option of ones with vegan plant milk, as well as a small baked goods case full of vegan cookies and muffins. Nice selection of interesting drinks, including Matcha & Ube. A nice selection of vegan items for sale. This very modern up scale barn is on a spacious property with ample outdoor hard seating, including individual chairs, both metal and wood picnic tables with benches, hardwood Adirondack chairs around a large fire pit in the back. If you prefer soft seating like me, there are only a few on the property, a couch by the outdoor fireplace inside up in the restaurant and balcony. The outdoor pizza kitchen has a variety of made to order cooked in front of you pizzas including vegan (must ask for vegan cheese substitute) or gluten-free egg, white and cauliflower crust. The Cook said most of the pizzas can be made with the vegan cheese. Included a few nice options with pesto sauce, truffle, mushroom, and more. After seeing a few come out out of the oven with the bubbled crust, I'm looking forward to returning and giving one a try. It seemed to be the favorite menu item of the outdoor diners, as the tables were full of them. Parking is on a dirt and gravel stretch so skip the sandals and flip-flops & wear closed toed tennis shoes. There are walking paths around the properties so you can get in a nice stroll before having a nibble and a drink. The path around the property you'll see their crops of produce and flowers growing as well as the animals they have: horses, goats pigs. Upstairs after 4 PM, they have a nice clean-looking modern style restaurant featuring a nice menu with a variety of six vegetarian and one vegan pasta option. The hostess, who claimed she was also vegetarian was quick to point out all the vegetarian options some can be converted to vegan by omitting the cheese or dairy ingredient. There's a nice tall bar upstairs with stools and one TV for watching news or sports. Apparently they have a brunch weekends only with a menu that also looks very inviting. The property has a large selection of bottled wines, a micro brewery and a coffee bean brewery. Family friendly, a nice place to go to get a bite and drink, stretch your legs, enjoy fresh air (although a bit dusty near parking lot). Country music is playing loudly in and around the property. We have an expanse of grass for picnic in a play area that's very natural and organic and appearance and a glass house which opens up onto a hard scape patio available for a private event events. The people were friendly and welcoming. It's a spot of natural plot of country near the coast line in Encinitas.

There were two couples and one woman at tables, outside a couple tables were also taken. Everyone was already eating from what I could see, except one of the couples at a high top. I got in line with only 2 people in front of me. I placed my order, some baked goods from the case, a mocha, and chicken and waffles and took my number to the table. I got my Mayan mocha within 5-7 minutes, delicious. I then waited another 45 minutes to receive my chicken and waffles! There were big waves of people coming in and I was thankful I came in the small window of time when hardly anyone was there. That should have meant my order was ahead of the many people in line. At 30 minutes I went to check and make sure there hadn't been a mixup with my order. I had ordered a baked item to go and clarified with the employee ringing me up that everything else was for here/to dine in. She repeated that back to me. Nonetheless, when I went to check, I thought maybe it had accidentally been packed to go. But no, the other employee told me, it was still coming. So I went and sat back down. At 45 minutes I asked another passing employee, who might have been the manager, as I saw her give food to a table that had arrived at least 10-15 minutes after me. This was getting ridiculous. I was waiting on literally one meal and had gotten here ahead of all these people the restaurant was now busy with. She said she would check for me. She came back a few minutes later with my plate and went to get me hot sauce. I checked the chicken and it was COLD, waffle too. They gave me butter but how would it even melt on this cold waffle? I was so angry and baffled. The employee/manager came back and said she was going to take my coffee and pastry off the bill and refund it. This was a nice gesture but honestly, this whole meal should have been refunded. To pay a premium for these ingredients and be served a cold meal after nearly an hour of waiting. Absolutely unacceptable. I tried to submit this feedback to their contact portal instead of a public Yelp review but 3 times their site said it was having issues and it couldn't accept the form. Another thing out of order it seems for Nectarine Grove. Don't dare come here if you have anywhere else to be that afternoon. Another north county beautiful high priced eatery not getting the basics right.

Fun Fact: "Manna" means an unexpected blessing, especially in a time of need! Atelier Manna was…read morecreated by Michelin-rated Chef Andrew Bachelier and his wife Larah as a creative workshop where food, art, wellness and community all come together. - Located in Leucadia, Atelier Manna is definitely not your typical brunch spot. It feels part restaurant, part art studio, part wellness experiment, and I mean that in the best way. The space is intimate and eclectic, with cookbooks, ceramics, artwork, salvaged materials and little pieces collected from the owners' travels throughout the space. You can tell there was a lot of thought put into making it feel personal rather than overly polished. Parking is do-able across the street by train , or on the street or surrounding neighborhoods. Best time to come when its not busy is W or TH morning! And then there's the food. We started with the Turkish eggs, soft poached eggs sitting over herbed yogurt, chili garlic butter and herbs with toast. The combination of the cool, tangy yogurt with the garlicky, slightly spicy butter was SO good. The toast is basically mandatory because you're going to want to swipe up every last bit of that sauce. P.S. dish comes with two eggs but you can order an extra egg if you have more people. The steak & tortilla was another standout. Snake River Farms zabuton steak with Spanish tortilla, black garlic romesco and Jimmy Nardello peppers. The steak was tender and cooked beautifully, but what really made the dish for me was the black garlic romesco. Rich, savory and slightly sweet, it tied everything together. And then came the torrija, Spanish-style French toast. This is not your basic brunch French toast. It's made with thick-cut sourdough, saffron vanilla, peach leaf oil, stone fruit and whipped labneh. The outside had that delicious caramelized/crispy texture while the inside was soft and custardy. The labneh was also such a good addition because it gave the dish a little tang to balance out the sweetness. Definitely a dish I'd order again. But we can't forget the drinks because Atelier Manna takes their non-alcoholic beverage program VERY seriously. Their "vitality tonics" are basically zero-proof cocktails with a wellness twist, and they are way more interesting than your standard juice or mocktail. I got the Mentawai: coconut, cold-infused green tea, lime leaf, pandan and astragalus, force carbonated. Light, refreshing and slightly tropical with enough acidity to keep it from tasting like straight coconut water. My friend got the Goldenrod, made with clarified cucumber, turmeric, honey and long pepper. Very refreshing and earthy with a little sweetness. Another friend went with the cold brew, which was smooth and fruity with a creamy body. I really appreciated that the drinks weren't just an afterthought. They actually felt like part of the experience. Overall, Atelier Manna is one of those places where you can tell the people behind it genuinely care about the details. The menu is creative without feeling like it's trying too hard, the space is unique and inviting, and the food manages to be indulgent while still incorporating a lot of fresh, thoughtful ingredients. Definitely a brunch spot worth the drive up to Leucadia, especially if you want something a little different from the usual eggs + mimosa situation.

I enjoyed my elk burger, which was different for me, but didn't care for the gluten-free bun. It was too crumbly and seemed more like a cornbread mix, although it is house made which is great. The real MVP was our server, Katelynn. She handled all 8 of us by herself the entire time and never missed a beat. Our drinks were always fresh, and she stayed a step ahead of the table. Great solo performance. I split two entrées with my bro, which I highly recommend if you can't decide: California Burrito: Very savory, with creative sauces that set it apart from the usual breakfast burrito.
