Decided to get lunch from this location today. We ordered 2 of the 12 piece GRILLED nuggets. The drive thru line was long as usually so we took the order right away and left. Well when I opened up the bag, the chicken nuggets were not the 12 piece grilled ones we ordered but the regular breaded ones. We specially ordered the grilled because someone can't eat the bread. So we wasted almost 15 dollars worth of money because we couldn't eat the breaded ones. Very very upset and would not recommend this location to anyone. I have a mild obsession with the chicken breakfast burritos... when I say mild I actually mean, all the girls know me on a first name basis... the way most people do at Starbucks, but my Starbucks is Chick-fil-A lol. I don't know why it's so good, but I literally eat a chicken breakfast burrito everyday on my way to work now (except Sundays obv ) lol, with a ridiculous amount of their bomb salsa & a fruit cup. Which I also love that their fruit cups actually have good stuff in them (not melon and grapes) strawberries, blueberries, mandarin oranges and apples. If on the rare occasion I go for lunch, always get the deluxe spicy chicken with mayo. On top of good food on the go, it's so nice to have exceptionally sweet people working there. This is such a great location, its super close to my job and i always find myself craving a spicy deluxe chicken sandwich on Sundays... but it tastes even better on monday after waiting so patiently for it. the drive through can be super long but the staff is so superb and they have your order ready when you get to the window. i wish i could remember the names of the staff that helped me but just know EVERY employee is always on top of their game! i will be back next monday :) read more

Time flys. I have been back oodles of times since I started this review of the very chain that was my youngest sons go-to-nuggeteria. Me, I go to be amazed at just how well the staff here is just as overwhelmed and calm at the same time. My recent trip to Colorado Springs Colorado and CFA was just as wonderful to watch. You would think there would not be a single smile behind the counter, you would be wrong. From California to Colorado, and back to Hurst Texas, smiles for hundreds of miles at CFA. They never take out what has to be frustrating, on the customer, the food taste and quality never drops off from awesome. This the place you take your kid so they can witness just how one should handle the stress of the daily grind, with ease, professionalism, a great attitude, and food fit for a finicky kiddo. I try not to mix food and politics, so I won't go there. I will just say, if you want real chicken in your nuggets and on your sandwich, this is your Nuggeteria. So good, I once asked my youngest son, when he was little, for a nugget, he took a small bite, then handed it to me to finish. This is a generous kid, but the taste is just that good. Food is good of course but I ordered a strawberry lemonade and the staff (inside) did not know what I was talking about! I order it all the time at the Oceanside location so I was so confused and disappointed. I drove all the way from Oceanside to Encinitas (Oceanside temp closed) just to get my spicy chicken deluxe fries and strawberry lemonade! The cashier told me they only had regular lemonade and they never had strawberry lemonade. Wtf? Then I talked with a manager and she basically said the same thing as if it was seasonal or they were out of ingredients. However, I know they had strawberry milkshakes available and lemonades available and those are basically the ingredients! So then I got an idea to go through the drive through because one of the 20 workers there should know what this is! My strategy worked, the girl outside who took my order was actually from the Oceanside location and totally knew what I was talking about! No question. I happily got my strawberry lemonade which was worth the 30 min drive and additional 30 min wait but 3 stars to this location for not knowing what this was! SMH read more

This is easily the worst Chick-fil-A I've ever been to. Unfortunately it's the closest to my house so I still go. I've waited several times in the drive thru with only a couple cars and it's taken 10-15 minutes to receive my order. Now i have the chick-fil-a app and I go inside. Chick-Fil-A Encinitas is the best restaurant on El Camino Real when you don't feel like cooking. They've added people at the drive thru to take your order so it's ready at the window when you pull up. Victor is fantastic. We walked up, were welcomed by the nice guy at the cash register, ordered our food, asked for extra sauce and right when I was handed my receipt I was handed my food. That is truly fast food, people!!! I always go with the classic chicken sandwich with no pickles, they also have seasonal drinks so try them out if they have one! This chick-fil-a is always awesome! They frequently run specials on their Facebook page and every time we have come in they are always happy to greet us and are happy we are there. Inside the spot there are Real flowers on the tables, it's always clean, & the polite staff make it extra special. They are always smiling and the food is fast & fresh. They do have special events too like support the troops day, Halloween festivities etc. we'll keep coming back to this location even if it is a bit farther from home for us. Thanks! Every time I have come here on my lunch the staff has always been so sweet and helpful. This location tends to get pretty busy during lunch time. The drive through line can get insane. I've always dined in and the line can get a little long but it's manageable and I feel the service given makes up for the wait. They have a wide assortment of chicken options, I tend to always get their nuggets with waffle fries. The sandwiches are pretty yummy as well. I love that they offer a lot of different kinds of sauces and even drink options as well. Ive never been disappointed by eating here, the customer service is always great because the staff is so friendly. The condiment area is extremely well stacked, they even have complimentary mints lol. Overall, I definitely recommend dining here because the staff and quality of ingredients always wins me over. Was very disappointed with this location. We pulled up to the lady to take our order and we all asked for 3 large meals and we paid separately. She rang them up as mediums, so when we got to the window we informed the manager and he said he was going to refund all of our separate purchases and charge us again for larges. While i was attending to other business at the same plaza, an employee was in the parking lot jamming promotional advertisements into people's car doors. Needless to say i found a couple scratches caused by the paper after having spent hours detailing my own car. This small area will have to be redone. Yes paper CAN scratch paint. Send your ads through the mail like everyone else, or put the guy with the cow suit outside instead. Forcing people to see ads who aren't interested in your food is kind of pathetic. read more

This location is a complete disaster. And it is 100% because of the manager Kimberly. I have never seen any manager have an attitude like her. She does not belong in a customer service position. I went by last week at 1040am. I ordered a lunch meal with large fries. I sat at the drive thru window for 18 minutes waiting on my meal. I did not get an apology, an explanation or anything. Finally after 13 minutes. I asked how much longer my order would take. She replied, I am going as fast as I can, rushing me will not get your food any faster. No apology of any sort. 5 minutes later my meal was ready and she literally threw the bag into my car, with a horrible look on her face. How hard would it have been to say a simple I'm sorry. The 5th time in a row this placed has messed up my order, it's not that difficult I've worked in the food industry for 10+ years. Nothing is more frustrating than working a 10-14 hour shift driving home for a hour and waiting in line starving just to get home to a messed up order...: 5 times in a row. The last four visits to this restaurant have been the worst we have experienced from Chick-Fil-A. The staff is not trained, we even had 2 employees tell us they didn't know what some items were on the menu. The service is terrible (definitely not up to Chick-Fil-A standards). Many times the tables are dirty and floor not swept/mopped. We had opted to only order in the drive thru. Twice we have received the wrong order and they somehow can't give refunds, and just offer to comp your next order. This location needs serious help and maybe an evaluation of management. Confession: Politics and health consciousness aside, I do love me some CFA. I love their seasoned chicken and fresh lemonade, a lot. However, every single time I come to this specific location, I am disappointed for one reason or another. First of all, this is the newest location in the area, yet it always seems to be the messiest. Tables have crumbs, chairs are not pushed in, etc. Not a huge deal, but I'm used to CFA being the cleanest and most organized chain - they're famous for that. Fries here always are underdone and under seasoned. Always. I've never experienced this at another CFA. They don't put the sauces out so that you can help yourself, which is understandable, but they rarely ask if you would like any. It's like their wide array of sauces are a secret here, which is annoying because they are usually promoted at other locations. Staff is friendly, but not over the top. At the Oceanside and San Marcos locations, we experience way nicer service, with employees constantly walking the dining room asking how everything is, and if we'd like a refill. They're also wiping tables and greeting guests coming in, which I have never seen in Encinitas. I love CFA lemonade, but half the time it doesn't taste fresh at this location. Once it was so bitter I just tossed it. Sometimes it takes 2 seconds to get your food, which to me means it was probably sitting there before I ordered it. Other times it takes a crazy long time, which is annoying and oddly inconsistent. All in all, I turn a blind eye to CFA's politics to enjoy a guilty pleasure every so often. But I refuse to come back to this one. read more

This morning was my first visit to Chick-fil-A and I came with my two children for the weekly story hour from 9 to 10 a.m. The staff is very friendly and attentive. There are three employees who are dedicated to watching over the story time hour so there's plenty of helpful eyes watching the kids. In addition to one book being read there is an art station, a sand table and a play table with a fun farm set Another mom who had been there the previous week said the art table was different from before. I'm glad they are going to switch it up. The restaurant and bathroom was very clean. I ordered the chick-n minis with hash browns and apple juice. The kids gobbled it up and especially loved the Chick-fil-A sauce for dipping. Story time will be held every Friday through the rest of the year. If you live in Encinitas or North County and have young children this would be worth adding to your activity calendar. read more
