Location is clean, cashier was friendly and helpful with scanning my app and finalizing my cash payment. Seems like this location has many young customers on Friday nights. I really wanted to like this vanilla iced coffee, but it just didn't deliver. The coffee itself tasted watered down, and the vanilla flavor was so faint that I could barely tell it was there. Instead of being smooth and refreshing, it was bland and lacked the rich coffee taste I was expecting. It wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't worth ordering again. A coupon for a free burger came in the mail so I came to redeem it. I've tried Chick-fil-A over a decade ago in AZ so I know it's good. I try not to eat fast food but this is a good quality chicken burger for fast food. Chicken breast is fresh, well fried & a much bigger size burger compared to McDonald's. I am terribly disappointed and feel betrayed by the bait-and-switch marketing I experienced while at the Deerfield, IL, location. Beware the Chick-fil-A "Be our guest" promotion offering "Your choice, our treat." This offer is only honored for specific products. My family does not frequent Chick-fil-A regularly, so the promotion was effective in attracting us to give them a try. When I presented the coupon to redeem for grilled nuggets to align with my low-carb lifestyle, I was told that only the traditional products were a part of the promotion. The Grilled Nuggets are a $0.70 premium above the Chick-fil-A nuggets and nearly twice the calories and eleven times the carbs. I plead my case, first with the cashier and then with the manager. I shared how disappointed I was and felt the promotion was deceptive. The manager retorted that many people do enjoy the offer. I further explained that my family does not consider Chick-fil-A among our meal options. As someone who markets my own business services, I know the tragedy of creating a promotion intended to raise awareness and create positive experiences only to have the opposite effect. While I understand that "many" may enjoy the promotion, who doesn't like free food? Unfortunately, the offer excludes those seeking a healthy option at their restaurant, forcing the far less healthy option over a difference of $0.70. The manager was unmoved and suggested that she would share my complaint with upper management. I am not confident that the message will be delivered or received. Best of luck to you, Chick-fil-A. You don't need my endorsement. You have a large and passionate brand following. I offer this review as constructive feedback on your marketing practices. The bottom line is that their promotion enticed me to give them a try, "their treat," and I ended up spending more than $18 on a meal for two rather than the offered and expected $13. Get to window and employee asks me to go around the corner to drive thru parking spot to wait for my food cuz it wasn't ready yet. ***This review was previously deleted*** I moved to this area at the beginning of 2023. Aside from my regular job, I also do Doordash. As a regular customer, I have nothing bad to say because my son loves the nuggets, fries, and Sunjoy. I used to come here a few times a month as a customer and almost on a daily basis as a Dasher. A few months back, in Spring of 2024, they got a new Owner - Operator, and they changed some processes which required the employees to ask Dashers to "confirm" they received the order. This process is fine because it cuts down on Dashers who steal orders. However, I noticed they wouldn't ask some Dashers to "confirm," but then they'd ask me. I did not want to make things about race so I let it go for a while until on one occasion an employees tried touching "confirm" themselves and on another occasion being told they would not give me the food unless I pressed "confirm". Also, the tone used when speaking to me was not the same tone afforded to their regular customers and also not the way they would talk to me when I was a regular customer. One of the last times I was at this location dashing, one of the managers very rudely demanded I press confirm or she would not give me the food. I told her not to speak to me like that, and the new owner began yelling at me not to speak to his employees this way but said nothing of her actions. The owner said all Dashers get the same treatment and will be asked to "confirm" every time. I delivered the order and received another order for this location, and they did not ask me to "confirm." I told the owner of this, and he demanded I tell him which one of his employees it was.....I'm not a snitch . Shortly after this, I was black listed from Dashing here, so now I no longer come to this location as a regular customer either. I called corporate and they gave me a free dessert, I guess that's all my trouble is worth. Corporate also advised they'd let the owner know about my complaint, I never received a call. More things happened, but I have only provided the necessary info. For this to be a company that does not deny their faith and proudly waves their Jesus flag, they don't act very Godly. read more

Today I redeemed 2 plain chicken sandwiches through your app that I was awarded and were expiring. When I got to the window I was told that there were no plain chicken sandwiches available and to please pull around to the parking lot and they would be brought right out. How do you not have chicken ready when that's all you sell? After waiting for 25 minutes and seeing numerous customers ENTER,EAT, & the LEAVE I went into inquire about why it was taking so long. My order was still not even close to being ready and had appeared to have been forgotten about. The on duty manager (Miguel) could not provide me with a reason why my order had not been completed besides that "there wasn't any filets ready." Which was a flat out lie considering that I personally watched multiple orders be completed as I was waiting. I don't like to be lied to. It insults my intelligence. To say that your company can't compete an order for 2 plain chicken sandwiches in less than 35 minutes is very disappointing and demonstrates a lack of customer service and respect of my time. The long-awaited Chick-Fil-A opened in Deerfield this week, much to the glee of many people in the area. It was one of the few chain restaurants missing from this suburban outpost, and now the need for waffle fries and fried chicken sandwiches has -- at last -- been sated. We took a trip through the drive-thru for lunch today, which was their second day open to the public. The line was manageable and the staff were impressively doing what they could to expedite it, including having crew members standing in the cold taking orders in both drive-thru lines to make things move more quickly. Known for their customer service, it's too early to predict if this location will maintain this kind of efficiency after the shiny newness wears off. The food was standard Chick-Fil-A fare. Our sandwiches were good. The waffle fries were a bit disappointing; they seemed like they were pulled from the fryer too soon and someone forgot to hit them with the salt shaker. It wasn't an epic misfortune but not quite the standard you're used to if you regularly go to CFA. Let's talk politics for a minute because that's the real issue with CFA, this location and all others. They are known for being anti-LGBTQ, which makes their presence in this mostly liberal area a bit of a quandary. The lines seem to indicate that the people are okay with spending their dollars here knowing that some portion of them filter up and out to organizations with questionable intent. As a family, we've discussed this at length and if we're comfortable with spending here. It's an ongoing discussion with a lot of nuance because local CFA franchises tend to do a lot of good in the local community by way of charitable work and donations. Our family has landed on a 1:1 policy - for every dollar spent at CFA, a dollar goes to the Trevor Project, and we're confident that the Trevor Project sees a higher percentage of our donation than makes it through the funnel of our profit dollars from CFA to organizations that don't align with our values. It's not a small issue, though, and one that we'll continue to wrestle with as we think about where we spend and how much we spend. read more
