I asked them if that meant the sandwich was just 'Hot' and not 'Xtra Hot' and I was told that if I ordered extra hot then it meant it was extra hot. My sandwich was really delicious. Overall, we had a decent experience. The service was okay. My original Nashville hot chicken was delicious but the Honey Butter chicken sandwich was anything but delicious. The restaurant aesthetics were decent. They have a live band performance area. It's a nice, friendly restaurant with a decent menu variety. I don't think I've ever had a better one. The 1/2 order of jambalaya also excellent and properly spiced. My grandson enjoyed his chicken strips and fries. I also liked my Cajun fries and Jamaican cola. There were a few people eating and someone waiting for an order to go. I asked they type of cut their fries they serve and they were the thin, crispy kind similar to McDonald's. I was like DONE, let's order a large order. As I was waiting for the fries, I notice that they had 4-Cheese Pizza Puffs - boom, ring me up as they don't have cheese ones very often. I took both for takeout. As I drove home, I could smell the fries and I couldn't wait, so I grabbed a few at a stop light, I'm sure you all have done it. When I arrived, the fries were still crisp and hot and so was the pizza puff. The fries just bring me back to living in the Northside of Chicago and walking to the a fast food joint to order fries and play video games. The pizza puff was so good! We ordered a whole bird with a side of roasted potatoes (Rosemary Reds) and greens beans - plus the mole and Clucker's style sauces - and the cornbread... we also added a side of Mac and Cheese. The chicken was perfectly moist with a solid rub that had a great smokiness and rosemary flavor. It paired BEAUTIFULLY with both sauces. The mole negro is a bit thicker than I'm used to, but is perfect for the chicken, it's most like a peanut sauce consistency. The Clucker's sauce, a play on a honey mustard, is closer to a chutney - spectacular. Potatoes were perfectly seasoned with some roasted onions, they weren't super crispy but I attribute that to delivery (they were still a 5/5). Green beans were nicely blanched and had a strong fresh garlic flavor. Mac and cheese is not baked and more gooey - I prefer that, although a lot of people (my wife included) prefer it baked. Cornbread was delightful, but I'd get the corn tortillas next time, especially with that mole. If I could rate this place above 5 stars, I would, and we had delivery! I can't speak to the ambiance. But when recently walked past there, it looks great inside and has a patio, and the food, just from looking at people's plates, was memorable. Do support this awesome establishment!
