Play place

This is our favorite CFA location. The staff are friendly and my order is ALWAYS right. The play place is great for kids and well kept. I love that I can sit to order vs waiting in line; that makes it easier for parents! Plenty of parking. And quick turnaround time for food to come out. We love it here.

You can imagine how excited I was when this Chickfila opened less than five minutes from my house! My husband and I decided to dine in for the first time last week. It is almost fancy on the inside! We already knew it looked nice from the outside with the new drive thru look, but inside is even better. It is decorated very well, but the experience inside was bar none. We had an employee open the door and greet us as we walked in. Our cashier was friendly and helpful with using our app. And as we sat down, I believe the manager came and asked us how everything was going. Even leaving, someone opened the door for us and wished us a good evening. That is restaurant quality hospitality at a fast food place! The food was quick and delicious as always!

Drive thu area, you can see all the sauces outside and evryone following safety guidelines!

I noticed that it had great reviews and I was a little hungry, so I went over the menu and ordered what the cashier recommended. I ended up ordering 2 burgers! One for now and one for later because they looked amazing! I ordered the TX BBQ Burger, and the Chicken Jalapeño Ranch burger. One with fries and one with tots. When they came out the bag was heavy and once I opened the bag, the food looked amazing! The fries were delicious and crispy, and the BBQ burger was so juicy! Once devoured, I had to try a bite of the Chicken burger. It was huge and I barely to take a bite without making a mess, but once I sunk my teeth in it was amazing! The chicken was very juicy and the veggies were fresh! I highly recommend this place! And I hope to be driving by again to try other options!

This was said to be one of the most popular. Another popular option was the Philly burger, we didn't enjoy it as much as it was missing flavor. Tatar tots were great, they also have fries. That changed when I lived in Kansas City; a place called Oklahoma Joes (changed to Joes KS) BBQ operated out of a gas station. It's one of the best places in the nation for BBQ, so with that knowledge and hungry for a decent chicken sandwich, I considered the new Sharks inside the gas station which just went up less than a mile from my house. In short, WOW, I'm literally shocked! I googled "fast food chicken sandwiches" and none of the suggestions that came up appealed to me as they've always been horrible. So, I thought, let me see some yelp reviews on Sharks Burgers. After seeing consistently high marks on burgers, I decided to try both. Before I go on, please note Sharks is inside of the Valero gas station right off of 35 across the freeway from Costco. The place is extremely clean, in a safe part of town and the employees are very nice. On the website I decided to build my own chicken sandwich and I'll mention they didn't have an option to double up cheese so I put it in the notes and it was added! I added mayo, ketchup, Swiss x2, grilled onions and mushrooms, lettuce and tomatoes. The chicken was slightly thicker than I anticipated while being moist and not overcooked. I think they could have added a touch more onions and mushrooms otherwise it was great. Plus, it has juices oozing out that got the bun soggy and I had no issues with that. The major gripe I had with both sandwiches is they didn't core the tomato so I gnawed on a big chunk of core, yuck. I decided to munch on my fresh tots which were pipping hot while dipping them in their shark sauce. I didn't like the shark sauce as I hate buffalo sauce which was the dominate flavor. My final item was the blue cheese burger. The beef was cooked perfectly and as with the chicken sandwich the bun was perfect but there could have been thicker and more slices of avocado. Otherwise, it's a well-balanced little burger with the blue cheese adding the funk to set it aside. To quote Pulp Fiction, it was a tasty burger (fyi - please add a big kahuna burger to the menu as I would be a regular). Overall, I was shocked about how much better Sharks food is over competing fast food restaurants. The meat is thicker and juicier, they have more interesting combinations and they food was straight from the kitchen, not under some heat lamp. I'd rank them almost on par with the "gourmet" burger shops like (4+1 gentlemen) and (extremely excellent) burgers (I hope you can figure out the cryptic message). I'll be back soon to indulge in Sharks offerings and if you're like I was, on the fence; get off and give it a try, you won't regret it.

They got it right... eventually!…read more I had a craving and a coupon. Dangerous combo, LOL. Since I hadn't indulged in KFC in a hot minute, I decided to go for it. Placed my order inside rather than try to communicate the cut-out of a snail-mailer coupon usage via drive thru. Was a good choice, because the employee took my order and quoted me the wrong amount. Coupon said $18.99 for a 8-piece meal, aaand he quotes me almost $30. And I'm like "Nah, that can't be right." He futzed with the console awhile but had to go get help from a more experienced employee. That's fine. I paid and was handed my order quite quickly and I took it home to eat. Foolish me didn't double-check what I'd been given in store. I hate doing that cuz it probably frustrates the employees like they can't be trusted. And yet... there was nasty-ass coleslaw instead of delicious mac n' cheese. All because they had to re-enter the order when the coupon failed and didn't input it correctly the second time. -_-# So I ate my meal at home a little grouchily (especially cuz they didn't provide any butter for the biscuits??), then shoved the leftovers in the fridge. Well, turns out I needed to hit up Walmart later that evening for milk, so I took the coleslaw back. It was five minutes 'til closing time for their lobby (9pm) and one of the doors was already locked, but the other wasn't yet. Whew. They weren't weird about it or anything, I just stated "Yeah I wanted mac n' cheese and was given coleslaw." and they replaced it super quick no questions asked. So in the end I got what I wanted. And it did all taste really good. I've been nomming the leftovers ever since, tossing the chicken and biscuits in my air fryer. Eight pieces of chicken is like four meals for me... and for twenty-ish bucks? In this economy, that's actually decent, pfft. So yup. Moral of the story: Just double-check your price before you pay and your food before you leave. =P

Though fried chicken is a southern delicacy, KFC is not. Remember the 8 piece family meal you ordered for a family of 2. All the regrets, as you had leftovers for days. The chicken was not crispy, but rather limp. You should have known better when the drive thru attendant asked if you, "wanted regular or extra crispy". The chicken itself was greasy and plain, but not as bad as Church's. The biscuits, not the worst, but still pretty damn bland and dry. If the batter was beaten better to make it fluffy, baked less and whipped with a brush of honey butter, these would have lowkey smacked. The fries, room for improvement, as these were overly salted, but had the best crisp and flavor. Mashed potatoes, no notes. You were the best thing in this meal.

The facility attaches to a gas station so it doesn't have much "curb appeal," but who cares? It's KFC and we're taking it home! That said let's get into the "meat" of this brief review, shall we? The older lady who took my order was extremely nice and accommodating. Moreover, the staff filled my order with speed and they even asked if I needed containments. I believe this is a lost art in the last few years among fast food restaurants, implying most don't ask so they don't feel obligated to give them out to cut back on costs. As for my order it was limited to a few items as I'm trying to diet but I was craving fried chicken so I decided to give it a shot. To begin, I thought biscuits automatically came with the order, however no dice on that. As for the mac & cheese, it was bland as standard for most of their sides. That said it was cheesy and the pasta wasn't overcooked so it was edible but had no soul. Much the same can be said about the mashed potatoes. Dried potatoes that are rehydrated with some boxed gravy mixed with water on top. Again, not much flavor but I end up putting my fried chicken crumbles on it so it's not like eating paste. As for the chicken, I got two thighs and they were fairly plump and crispy! It's been a while since KFC got much right imo and to see their chicken can be still be good as any competitor out there. The one issue I had was the breading was extremely salty as if the shaker lost the lid when they were sprinkling it in the flour. It was a little over the top. Now, these thighs were HUGE, I mean even Oprah would be like... DANG! What's more they were extremely juicy as if God himself blessed the fryer when they were cooking. Best KFC chicken I've had in years and two thighs were enough for lunch and dinner, at least for me. In summary, while the sides were exactly what one thinks when going to KFC the chicken was the star of the show, as it should be however the rest of the food was subpar. Hey joke for you all reading! Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to KFC (read into that with a slight tinge of darkness). I'll end it with saying the next time I have an itch for great fried chicken, I'll be hitting this joint again. Don't be chicken, drop on by!

Understandable that you want to enjoy your break, but maybe double up during peak hours. The fourth table was some sort of staff meeting of giggling management types in button ups. I'm sure they were going over serious matters and staffing, but again, read the room and open up space for customers. Came two days in a row since it's too cold for the little one at the park . The restaurant is nice. It includes a little market in one section with various food items that you can purchase. There is also a seating area with couches near the market section. The restaurant has different sized tables for seating. Not long after being seated we were greeted by a waiter that did an excellent job taking care of us the entire time we were there. He took our drink order, gave us menus and some time to decide what we wanted. After a few minutes he brought us our waters and took our order. We ordered several items. El Olivo which is a garlic bread. It was okay. The bread was good. It was nice and warm and the garlic flavor was all on top. Whipped Feta which comes with grilled Naan and cucumber slices. The Naan was okay. It was a little cold and needed to be warmed up a little more for my liking but my kids ate it up. The cucumbers were fresh and crisp and the whipped feta was pretty good. It had a slight lemon flavor but not enough to where you could taste the lemon with every bite. Pork belly chicharron which had pork with avacado covered in a sauce. It came with tortilla chips. The tortilla chips were thick and crispy. Perfect for scooping up some of the pork belly. The pork belly was delicious. The sauce that covered it added flavor and the avacado was fresh. The Lamb chops came with Lamb, carrots and a puree. The lamb itself was excellent. It was cooked perfectly and was tender with each bite. The carrots were slightly sweet and the puree was soft. It was a good mix of different textures with each bite. The Truffle mac and cheese was a macaroni and cheese with chives and truffle flavor. This was very tasty. The macaroni was tender, the chives were spread out and added that slight onion flavor. The cheese was very flavorful. One of my kids ate almost all of this. Barbacoa Doughnuts which are mini doughnuts filled with barbacoa topped with a salsa. I don't really like barbacoa but I tried them and was pleasantly surprised. These were delicious. It was basically a soft and warm mini doughnut filled with flavorful barbacoa. The sauce on it added a slight spicy flavor. Patatas Bravas are potatoes with salsa and a garlic aioli sauce. These were very tasty. That salsa and aioli sauce are what gave this dish all of its yummy flavor. The potatoes had a crispy exterior with a soft interior. All of the ingredients mixed together made a very good side dish. One of my sons ordered the Dos Olivos Burger with Tater Tots. He said that the burger was okay. I tried it and I agreed. The tater tots were good. He ate those up with some ketchup. My other son ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwiches with everything on the side. He substituted a salad instead of the fries. He ate the salad up. He also ate the Fried chicken from the sandwich. He said it was good. He is not a fan of sesame seed bread so he opted not to eat the bun. I tried the red cabbage apple slaw that it comes with and it was okay. Lastly I ordered the Beet Salad which comes with beets, pears, and candied pecans. I don't usually eat beets but I wanted to try it. It was very good. The beet chunks were large and soft but not overly soft. The pears and the candied pecans added a crispier texture and the mixture of all of the ingredients along with the sauce that was on it made this a super sweet beet salad. Almost like a dessert. It was delicious. Overall the restaurant is a cool spot to visit. The market is a neat addition that adds to the ambiance of the restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was delicious.
