Located in a gas station off of I-35, resides KFC; home of the 11 herbs and spices! I can't speak on the interior of the facility as I only used their drive-thru. The facility attaches to a gas station so it doesn't have much "curb appeal," but who cares? It's KFC and we're taking it home! That said let's get into the "meat" of this brief review, shall we? The older lady who took my order was extremely nice and accommodating. Moreover, the staff filled my order with speed and they even asked if I needed containments. I believe this is a lost art in the last few years among fast food restaurants, implying most don't ask so they don't feel obligated to give them out to cut back on costs. As for my order it was limited to a few items as I'm trying to diet but I was craving fried chicken so I decided to give it a shot. To begin, I thought biscuits automatically came with the order, however no dice on that. As for the mac & cheese, it was bland as standard for most of their sides. That said it was cheesy and the pasta wasn't overcooked so it was edible but had no soul. Much the same can be said about the mashed potatoes. Dried potatoes that are rehydrated with some boxed gravy mixed with water on top. Again, not much flavor but I end up putting my fried chicken crumbles on it so it's not like eating paste. As for the chicken, I got two thighs and they were fairly plump and crispy! It's been a while since KFC got much right imo and to see their chicken can be still be good as any competitor out there. The one issue I had was the breading was extremely salty as if the shaker lost the lid when they were sprinkling it in the flour. It was a little over the top. Now, these thighs were HUGE, I mean even Oprah would be like... DANG! What's more they were extremely juicy as if God himself blessed the fryer when they were cooking. Best KFC chicken I've had in years and two thighs were enough for lunch and dinner, at least for me. In summary, while the sides were exactly what one thinks when going to KFC the chicken was the star of the show, as it should be however the rest of the food was subpar. Hey joke for you all reading! Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to KFC (read into that with a slight tinge of darkness). I'll end it with saying the next time I have an itch for great fried chicken, I'll be hitting this joint again. Don't be chicken, drop on by! read more

Get workers that know how to read orders and process them correctly the FIRST time, if I was the manager I would wonder why I have such a low star rating and why orders are resent out or even cancelled. I can understand 1 time but 3 times ???? Go to Popeyes instead people read more

MARICELA offers the WORST customer service ever. Today I went to pick up lunch and decided to go to KFC, NO ONE was in the line . in fact there is hardly anyone in the line each time I visit!! I pull up to the speaker and was greeted by MARICELA, I wasn't sure what I wanted. I think this is common for most people and hey I could change my mind once I see the FULL menu. When I started ordering, MARICELA was speaking so fast and speaking over me that I had to tell her to HOLD ON!! She continue, speaking OVER ME where you would have thought the drive-through line was wrapped around the building. Once I completed my order I asked the person at the window were they the one that took my order she said yes, as if she offer GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I asked her why was she speaking so fast, She tells me that they ONLY have 50sec in the drive-through to complete an order!! I told her you have GOT to be kidding, she then began to have an even worst attitude and became condescending. She handed me my order and I asked her for a receipt, she closed the window in my face and had the nerve to say she is waiting on the receipt to print. So it takes 60 seconds for the receipt to print but you have 50 seconds to take an order in the drive-through. THE management staff needs to focus on Customer Service Training and how rushing the customer at the drive-through can impede sales. read more

Probably my worst experience in Kyle, TX. I went through the drive thru. Ordered a combo for my wife and I. She had a 2 fish combo with cole slaw and hush puppies and a drink. I had a chicken littles-BBQ box. When I got home, my chicken was plain with no BBQ sauce and no cole slaw. I returned to the store and spoke to the MOD (manager on duty). She only offered to redo the chicken sandwiches and the cole slaw. Not the while thing to make it fresh for when I got it home. She did offer a desert but I was not interested as I was not happy with the way it was handled. Also, the "lead" was screaming while attempting to sing. That was also a huge turn off. I hate to do this, but I am updating my review. My husband went here on Thursday night to pick up our order. He always gets original recipe and dark meat. Got home with it, we had three breasts , tha dark meat was wings and a leg. Two pieces were extra crispy. He ordered d two of the little sandwiches that were supposed to be one honey BBQ and the other one spicy. We had two dinner rolls with two chicken fingers and hot sauce poured on top. Came through the drive thru and had placed an order, which was given to me fairly quickly. Drive off and realized that my order was completely wrong. When I drove back up and told them about my order they did NOT hesitate to make it right. Not only did they replace my entire order but they also made my food fresh and allowed me to keep the first order given to me. (This was just a plus) Overall service was great. We were both very tired tonight and neither of us fancied cooking dinner so the decision was to get some food delivered we dont usually do that nothing fancy so we choice KFC which is just a few miles away we ordered a bucket priced at $21.50 understand its tough for business to make a living during this COVD but this company t they use to arrange delivery is way overcharging and not good for the image of the company the total cost on our CC was $37.the tip (**starting at 18% ) and not optional was fine but the total cost IMO was very steep just another example of a business making unnessary profit on a bad for all situation ., on the side the meal arrived in 25 mins faster than the time quoted and was hot and cooked to perfection . not that we frequent KFC on a regular basis just a note to others to be aware of the high price of dining out at this time ...... read more

So hungry tonight. Ordered food and got home with less than half of what we ordered and paid for. I called kfc and the phone rang and rang, then I got a recording that said for me to call back at a later time. When I called back a few minutes later, a man answered (7:20 pm) and after I identified myself, he hung up! When I called back, the line was busy. I continued to call and the line stayed busy. They HAD TAKEN THE PHONE OFF THE HOOK!!! We have been going to this "restaurant" since it opened. Now I see why this kfc only has a one star rating. I SO WISH I COULD GIVE THEM A ZERO RATING. Kentucky fried chicken ha more like Kentucky Franken chicken ,But the biscuits are actually pretty good and so is the mash potatoes. Even though the chicken is supposedly made grossly It is still pretty good. Overall the chicken is good and the sides are great (mostly the biscuits) it's good from time to time. read more

I've never had such incompetent service from a KFC until I came here. My friend and I went through the drive thru and asked to order 2 separate orders and after a pause he asked us for our first order. After stating the first and second order we were told our order came to $22 which we knew was wrong seeing as we ordered our meals SEPARATELY. Once we got to the drive thru window we watched the man who took our orders fill up my drink until it overflowed and spilled everywhere. After about 7 minutes of staring at our drinks through the window a second man came and asked us what we had ordered. After clarifying that the meals were separate, he said he would put both drinks on one, and all the sides on the other, as if that makes any sense. So we clarified AGAIN that we had ordered TWO SEPARATE MEALS. One three piece chicken tenders meal with a Dr. Pepper, mashed potatos, coleslaw, a large mashed potato, and cake. The second order (mine) was a two piece meal with grilled white meat chicken, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese with a large fruit punch. After about 5 more minutes of people looking at the screen and trying to figure out the mess that the first guy had made we were asked if we got a kfc bowl as well. After stating for the third time what we had both ordered we were finally able to pay for the $14 and $7 meals respectively. We also had to ask if the guy had put grilled chicken down, to which he said he would tell the manager to fix it to grilled chicken. When we were FINALLY given our meals we asked if we had everything and they stated yes they had double checked. After leaving the drive thru, we pulled over to check both meals only to find out they had charged my friend for a cake that they had never given her. Seriously KFC? Drive thru orders aren't rocket science. Get your stuff together or you'll be outta there just like the KFC in San Marcos. Good riddance. read more

We love KFC but sadly our Kyle, Texas location is horrible. Our orders are all wrong, every time. Tonight we ordered three Brest/wing meals and 3 chicken tenders meals and got thigh/legs and then missing a tenders meal. The last time we ordered a family meal and didn't even get the half of what we ordered. You can't call to speak to a manager because the phone line is always busy. I went through drive thru today (May 13, 2021) around 2 pm on my way back to work after an appointment. Ordered L1 (2 pieces of fish with drink and side). I was planning on eating at my desk. Got back to my office and opened up the box to see a long black hair (at least 6 inches long) mixed in with my fish planks and fries. I had nothing else to eat so had to skip my lunch. After work I took the box in the original sack back to the Kyle KFC. Told the cashier of the issue and showed her the disgusting hair. She said I needed to speak with manager Maricela. I waited for Manager Maricela Escamilla to address the problem. When Ms. Escamilla came over I showed her the hair in the meal. She looked at it and asked if I had my receipt. I told her I was not given a receipt but that I came through the drive thru between 1:45 and 2:00 pm. Her response: "Is this L1?" I said it was. Her response: "Is it OK if I give you cash?". THE END! No apology, no oh my goodness, no sorry you went without lunch..... Nope! Just handed me my $7 and change. Totally unconcerned. I've had trouble with this store before but was just on the level of mixed up or incomplete orders. I work next door so this store is very convenient but today was my very last visit and I would encourage other patrons to visit a different location if you like your fish to be hair-free! read more
