They got it right... eventually! I had a craving and a coupon. Dangerous combo, LOL. Since I hadn't indulged in KFC in a hot minute, I decided to go for it. Placed my order inside rather than try to communicate the cut-out of a snail-mailer coupon usage via drive thru. Was a good choice, because the employee took my order and quoted me the wrong amount. Coupon said $18.99 for a 8-piece meal, aaand he quotes me almost $30. And I'm like "Nah, that can't be right." He futzed with the console awhile but had to go get help from a more experienced employee. That's fine. I paid and was handed my order quite quickly and I took it home to eat. Foolish me didn't double-check what I'd been given in store. I hate doing that cuz it probably frustrates the employees like they can't be trusted. And yet... there was nasty-ass coleslaw instead of delicious mac n' cheese. All because they had to re-enter the order when the coupon failed and didn't input it correctly the second time. -_-# So I ate my meal at home a little grouchily (especially cuz they didn't provide any butter for the biscuits??), then shoved the leftovers in the fridge. Well, turns out I needed to hit up Walmart later that evening for milk, so I took the coleslaw back. It was five minutes 'til closing time for their lobby (9pm) and one of the doors was already locked, but the other wasn't yet. Whew. They weren't weird about it or anything, I just stated "Yeah I wanted mac n' cheese and was given coleslaw." and they replaced it super quick no questions asked. So in the end I got what I wanted. And it did all taste really good. I've been nomming the leftovers ever since, tossing the chicken and biscuits in my air fryer. Eight pieces of chicken is like four meals for me... and for twenty-ish bucks? In this economy, that's actually decent, pfft. So yup. Moral of the story: Just double-check your price before you pay and your food before you leave. =P read more

With that being said: Dear Future Self, The next time your curiosity piques after being subconsciously manipulated to eat something you normally wouldn't (I blame my travels to Europe and watching too much South Park), remember KFC. Though fried chicken is a southern delicacy, KFC is not. Remember the 8 piece family meal you ordered for a family of 2. All the regrets, as you had leftovers for days. The chicken was not crispy, but rather limp. You should have known better when the drive thru attendant asked if you, "wanted regular or extra crispy". The chicken itself was greasy and plain, but not as bad as Church's. The biscuits, not the worst, but still pretty damn bland and dry. If the batter was beaten better to make it fluffy, baked less and whipped with a brush of honey butter, these would have lowkey smacked. The fries, room for improvement, as these were overly salted, but had the best crisp and flavor. Mashed potatoes, no notes. You were the best thing in this meal. read more

The food was definitely not worth the price. 31 dollars for a variety meal from Long John Silvers, a spicy chicken sandwich only, along with chicken tender combo from KFC with a small drink. The fries were cold and stale, the chicken sandwich/tenders were very dry. This was a decent KFC at one time, but the last few times I have eaten there have not been good and this will be the last time I go to this location. For starters I ordered the KFC big box with sides of coleslaw, mashed potatoes and gravy. The coleslaw was not in the order when I arrived home and honestly I was too tired to drive 15 minutes back to get a single coleslaw. Secondly the breading on the chicken was falling off and there are areas where the breading on the chicken was thick and not cooked well. Third, I took a bite of the mashed potatoes which contained corn something I did not order. Overall this place has progressively gone downhill and it's such a shame because I grew up eating KFC and it was one of my favorite comfort foods. I will definitely not go back. read more

This place needs new management. Idk why they never have grilled chicken made or they don't have enough made. I used to live in the neighborhood and when I order they either don't have grilled made or not enough. 5 years later, because I moved a few towns over, I found myself in the neighborhood a decided to stop by to order and take home. Sure enough they only had about four grilled pieces made. So I said that's fine I guess I'll order a mixed bucket. I got home original chicken soggy and grilled was old and hard. Took forever, like 25 minutes for 4 chicken wings and 1 piece of fish. When they gave it to me they asked if I wanted to wait another 15 min for the fish. When I said no, they asked whether I wanted a refund. If I did I would have to wait for a manager to come back. I declined to wait any longer and will never go back. So this location has really great chicken. What the don't have is service or common sense. I placed an order on Uber at 7:47pm for surprise surprise chicken and the order was accepted by the store . At 8:30 my order was cancelled. So I sent someone down to the store to pick up food and they tried to place the order and were told they were out of chicken. This is 90 minutes before closing time and you are still open but not serving what you are known for. Why keep the store Open? Why have the Uber app on if you don't have the food? Is this so you appear open to corporate or the franchise owner? I possibly wouldn't have wrote anything but this is not the first time with this issue. This is the third time I've tried ordering food with more than 2 hours before the store is supposed to close and got the same BS about how y'all are out of chicken. This points to either A) bad management who don't know how to order and keep inventory B) management/employees don't care and decide when they want to serve despite having advertised hours C) let's just run out of what we have left and make sure we have no waste to report and let's clean up so we can all go home at 10:01 right after we shut the doors. Any of this sound familiar. Prove me wrong but the signs all point at one of those. Mind you, you probably don't have to prove to me but with my email and a screen shot of this going to Yum Brands I am sure someone at corporate will be figuring out what is really going on. Just moved to the area and my family and I loved the KFC from where we use to live. We definitely should have looked into reviews before going. It was a total waste of our money. The chicken was dry, tough, and didn't taste like anything. Biscuits was dry and crispy as if they had sit out for a while and the drink were very watery. We will most likely not be back. read more

I will never, ever go to this KFC again. The manager in the past is rude, if your order isn't good and you tell him, he makes excuses why it isn't. I ordered something on line, had to go twice, first they didn't get the order, the second time I ordered and didn't tell them BEFORE I ordered that I had a coupon. I also tried to call them to cancel my order 3 times because they wouldn't answer the phone. I don't know how many bad reviews they have to get before they do something about it. KFC has declined in the last 5 years...old, burnt food...not fresh...I'm going to find another chicken place to be my "go-to". read more

Wow, we were really craving some old school KFC chicken and we were really disappointed. The chicken had no flavor, the biscuit was about as big as a quarter and just as hard and the fries had no flavor. The inside of the restaurant was a mess also. There weren't enough chairs for some of the tables, the booth seats were ripped up, the walls and floors were a mess, there were flies and gnats flying around and it was really humid inside. It was so humid that the salt in the salt packets were wet. This place needs a lot of work to get it up to par. I think it needs a manager that cares also. Drive through on 1/3/19 Buda KFC. We wanted only chicken and no sides or drinks. Lady taking the order kept trying to get us to order meals with sides and drinks. We told her we only wanted chicken. She tried to sell us a bucket of chicken. Smallest quantity listed on the menu board was an 8 piece bucket. We asked for a six piece. She said a 6 piece was possible to get. We ordered and paid at the window. I mentioned that the 6 piece was not listed. She said it was a special item. Why not give us that option at the beginning instead of making us try to sort it all out? Great product but lousy service! read more

Food are okay, I often had Fish from Long John. However, drive thru service are slow especially at night Compared to the LongJohn located at William Cannon Drive, this certainly need some adjustment. I visited KFC and ordered $45 worth of food in the drive thru. I get home and there's no gravy. I called the "manager" and he said he wouldn't make my order fresh just for gravy. I told him it's not my fault they forgot it and I just want what I paid for. A hot fresh meal I paid for. He said he wouldnt do it because it was 16 pieces of chicken. So after being at work all day sitting in traffic and spending my hard earned money I had to pack it back up and take it back. Because of his attitude I felt like they might spit in my food so just took it all back. When I drove up to the window he said "like I figured". I was like you figured what? He laughed and said don't get loud with me I'll call the police. My husband is hard of hearing and speaks loud but was not yelling. This is the worst customer service. Like I work too your not in any type of different position. On the phone he refused to make my meal but when I got there he offered to do it?! But probably spit in it? Was very disappointed with my recent experience there. Person who took my order acted like she was annoyed at me ordering my food. I know sometimes they have already had a long day...but don't take it out on us! When my order was ready she just tossed it on the counter and yelled out a number...really....finally got home and the lid from one of the gravy containers was knocked off and half of the gravy from that container was at the bottom of my bag. I am so annoyed with this place. I had been given a 25$ gift card to KFC so I went to get my family food for dinner tonight and when I got to the window I gave the cashier my gift card. She ran it and said there was not a balance on the card. I know there was a balance because I called and checked it before I went. The manager came and said they have no way to take the gift card because their system won't take them. So my question is... I have a 25$ gift card to KFC that I can't use at KFC?!?!? We usually come for drive thru only, which is ok, but we decided to dine in tonight. That will not happen ever again. With every step I can feel bits of food crunching under my feet as I slide across the greasy floor. This place is gross and does not foster much faith in the cleanliness of the food prep area. I have just made my last KFC purchase! I care for 2 elderly ladies that love KFC and almost every Friday on my way to them I stop by my local (Buda) KFC to get them dinner. I always order the same thing: 2 breasts, original; coleslaw; 2 mashed potatoes and gravy and 2 biscuits with honey. Should be simple, right? $9.05, every time, whether right or wrong. And it is almost always wrong! I've had all dark, 2 coleslaws and no potatoes, no biscuits and 17 catsups...it is ridiculous what they send out that window. Went this afternoon and, in a rush, didn't check my order. I just found out that I have a breast and wing instead of 2 breasts, coleslaw, 1 mashed potato/gravy, 1 biscuit, 1 honey and 6 catsups. REALLY?!?! It's not a difficult order and there is a surprise almost every week. Maybe if you pay your people a living wage you could get real people that care??? Nobody there even knows what the building is that's going up 20ft from your drive-up window - in their face every day. NOBODY THERE CARES ABOUT ANYTHING!! Between the new CREEPY Colonel Sanders on your commercials and the lack of care from your staff, I'm done. Heard Popeyes is building a location and I will immediately make a change when they are here. Hope they shut you down! Until then, I'll get chicken for my ladies from Bill MIller's across the street. Worst chicken I've ever had. If I wasn't so hungry, I wouldn't have eaten it. I supposedly ordered the 3 piece crispy, but nothing was crispy, and the pieces seemed too greasy and overcooked that they fell apart when I picked them up (and the meat was mushy). I'd also like to mention that I've never been able to get grilled chicken there because EVERY TIME they are out. I'm done with that place. read more

Chicken and sides (mashed potatoes and cole slaw) always good and consistent. Staff friendly and competent. Place is typically clean and the only time I found it less than desirable was right after the noon rush. Will be back though as they are closer than others in town - shame so many have closed down. read more

I love stopping at this KFC location when I drive thru Buda . Chicken and sides have always been good. Have not been disappointed yet. Also , store is kept very clean which is very important. Friendly staff and always ourteous. I do not live in Buda but that's one KFC location that's worth getting off and back on I35 to get our dinner. I love my KFC ! read more

I can not continue to eat in places that detest giving any kind of service. I stopped by on a Tuesday at 9:15 and stood in line for 19 minutes. One register shut down. Orders mixed up. Two employees flirting and complaining that too many customers were coming in. Employee writing orders on napkins and ringing up at the drive thru. Took 10 minutes for my order. I was given a $2 discount because I was told it was easier to ring up that way. Is good decent service extinct? As I am writing this, my order is wrong. This can't be the norm. It can't be! read more
