My parents got a couple single char burgers while my sister got a burger type sandwich. While it was all being prepared, we chilled outside since it was so nice out today. It was about a 15 minute or so wait till our food was done. Everything was bagged up nicely. I did ask if there were any peppers and ketchup packets that weren't communal. With my new kidney, I unfortunately can't use the tongs and ketchup dispenser that everyone uses. The jalapenos and peppers were a no go. But ketchup packets were available. The young man grabbed me a handful for me. He did drop a couple packets on the ground and proceeded to hand them to me. Common sense as an employee, I wouldn't give them to customers as they have hit the ground. I ended up throwing the packets away. I wasn't going to risk putting/ using dirty packets on my food. My burger was decent. The hamburger was a tad dry. I ended up putting some mustard on it to help with the dryness. I haven't eaten here for a while. I don't remember my food being so mehhh. If I remember correctly, I thought the food was great last time. Today was mehhh which is such a bummer. I was hoping for a killer burger. Customer service was ok, considering we ordered from a screen, no one really talks to you and the employee handed me ketchup packets that were dropped on the kitchen floor. My burger did it's job but could have been better tasting. With another burger joint in the same strip, you'd think they'd step up their game. Unfortunately, today was not one of those days.

Also, the employee seemed perplexed that my wife was moving things on the tray to avoid the large amount of water still on the tray. Don't know why they can't give a quick wipe before using the tray. Serving a roll wrapped in paper on a wet tray is not a great idea. I don't know if it's just understaffed or not, but these are not crazy things I'm talking about. Simple order, warm soup, dry bread? Our meal was almost $40 for two people - I'd expect better.

The music is good. I placed an app order to dine in (which isn't an option in the app, so everything is packaged to go) for my family and me. I ordered the regular bowl with brown rice, veggies and teriyaki chicken. Hubby had a white rice with teriyaki chicken and my daughter had the orange chicken with veggies and fried rice. My husband's bowl and my bowl were made to perfection...chicken was abundant, fresh, hot and tender. The chunks were a tad large which required a knife, but cut easily. The rice in both bowls were cooked to the right texture, my veggies were crisp tender and seasoned well. We also had the pot stickers and egg roll, the we all shared. The pot stickers sauce is too watery to stick to the pot sticker (no pun intended), but coats them with a pleasant gyoza "essence". Though the sauce wasn't my favorite, the pot stickers had crispy seams and edges, with soft middles. They were delicious. The egg roll tasted a little off, like there were dirty or old veggies inside. I wouldn't order again. My daughter loved the orange chicken. It was coated in a nice orange sauce, but the best part was that the chicken was soft and tender. Unlike another popular orange chicken place, their orange chicken is not heavily coated or candied. You can actually taste the chicken! The fried rice, however, was a huge miss. Maybe it was because the orange chicken was sweet, but the rice had an odd tang to it...not to mention, wasn't really fried. It was more like white rice with a heavy dose of soy sauce. Definitely not worth the upgrade....no peas, carrots or eggs to be found. Quite a disappointing experience with that alone. The bathroom needed a little TLC....broken/empty soap dispenser and the toilet looked pretty unclean. I must note that the only, cashier/expo/front of house was hustling and doing an exceptional job. I'm sure there wasn't enough time between doing all her jobs to QA the bathroom.

They were busy with locals, like us, taking advantage of BOGO coupons to bring in customers before the grand opening (8/8/26) to help get things ironed out for the friendly, if still a little reticent, young staff. Based on our visit, they are well on their way. My husband and I are not chain food fans but Zao is one we will use occasionally for take-away given healthy'ish options and easy access. THE MENU and $: Zao has Asian Cafe (or Grill depending on listing) as part of the name but there is also a distinctly Mexican fusion set of ingredients. They offer bowls, wraps, salads, tacos (wheat tortillas), soup that starts with good broth and sides like pot stickers (chicken). The base price for bowls, always our order, is about $11.00 and up if you choose extras. Portion sizes are generous at the price point. THE FOOD: In a service model like MOD pizza or Chipotle, you start by telling the people behind the counter what you want (bowl, etc) and what you choose as base (brown or white rice, yakisoba noodles, rice noodles or cucumber or combine two ) and as you walk down the line you'll choose protein (two portions are added and they can be of different kinds) of chicken (white meat), steak, tofu or braised pork (a smokey flavor) and often also a limited time special protein. Broccoli is offered as option for all, then a sauce of your choice from about six options, then veg toppings like carrots, corn, pickled onions and cilantro. There are options that work for people who are Gluten Free and also for vegetarians. The ingredients are always fresh looking and tasting. My only tip is to note that the rice noodles can often be overcooked. Alas. THE DRILL: Food is served in heavy paper / cardboard bowls to carry to a table. If you're ordering to go, they put a tightly sealed, no leak, lid on top. The ring up and pay is at the end of that line. The station for serve yourself water, napkins and utensils is right there too. (Beverages are all soft. ) If you're dining in, bus your own. VIBE & SEATING: This space is newly built in a complex in Eagle that is all fast food or fast casual chain restaurants. (Chick Fil A, Mo Betta and Panera are here too, as example.) This location has more seating and better options than the Meridian store for kinds of from high fixed stool counters, to standard table height with chairs. It is bright with windows on two sides. There is also a small patio on the side. Sparkling clean all around as staff keeps it tidied up during service hours. PARKING: Private lot but it will fill up fast at peak times given all the fast food places going in here. ACCESSIBILITY: Two accessible parking spots near the door, one van accessible. Accessible route to the order counter, check out is at standard height. Some tables with moveable chairs look like they would work for customers using wheelchairs. PS TIP - HANDEL'S ICE CREAM IS GOING IN NEXT DOOR! The first Idaho location for this outstanding ice cream brand is being finished up (August) and should be open in September'ish. First, she starts off with "what do you guys want?" in a mannerless tone. Second, when she scoops the meat, the scoop is half full. I'm already paying extra for beef and a mega bowl, I expect the scoop to be full. Third, I asked for extra sauce on the side and she says that costs extra. Online, you can make the bowls "sloppy" for extra sauce for no charge. But, all of a sudden, "we started charging for extra sauce." Yeah right. I'm sharing the bowls with people who don't like spicy. So, I just wanted spicy sauce on the side to not mix with the whole bowl. Fourth, we tried ordering a chocolate cheesecake but they ran out. She was so rude and reluctant about giving us a refund. Fifth, I asked for a receipt for both transactions and she was again impolite and rude about doing the refund. Sixth, she doesn't know how to put the correct sauces or levels on the bowls. To find this location , it's just off the 184, go north on Milwaukee and turn into the big parking lot for The Cheesecake Factory. Lot of parking, at least when we went. Going in, the dining area looks all new and shiny and really pretty much like all In N Outs. Just a few people inline ahead of me. I got my crews orders so I just did the ordering, since I was the one paying. I got my usual Double Double Animal style with extra grilled onions. Three of the crew got that too along with fries. One guys wanted a 3 X 3 animal style extra grilled onions. Then the one other girl one the crew wanted a Double Double Protein style, which is a lettuce wrapped double double. We got a nice table and the order was called in maybe 5-6 minutes. The food was exactly as it would be at any In N Out which is the trademark consistency of In N Out, so where ever you go, the place is basically the same. I'm glad In N Out expanded to Idaho.

She wasn't nice but not rude, just there. Got my husband's ordered squared away and hung out till it was done. Needless to say, the sub was perfect. My husband devoured the whole thing. It was topped with extra cheese and the salami was nicely placed on the bottom so it's easier to eat. No complaints today, just a happy guy with his yummy sub. I'm sure I will be back soon grabbing another sub from this joint. Again, it would have been a 5 start visit but customer service is unpredictable here. But we can say their subs are 5 stars.
