As usual, the service was wonderful. They truly set the gold standard for fast food service. Today, I decided to step out of my routine of a grilled chicken sandwich or the wrap. I ordered the spicy fried chicken sandwich. This is the 1st time I was disappointed at a Chick-fil-A. The sandwich was about the size of a small hamburger. I thought it was, as others noted it to be as "hearty." I thought it would be dressed, as other sandwiches are. It was a buttery bun with 2 pickle slices on the bottom. That was odd to me. So, $6.60 for this? Then, it was rather dark batter. I'm not sure if it was only the spices or older oil. As for spicy, that it definitely was. It depends on your taste. This is the slowest CFAa I've ever been to. There were two lines and there were associates at each line to assist in ordering. Because of a slow car, one line ended up being totally empty and the other backed up 4 cars, but for some reason, the associate in the empty line couldn't walk over to the backed up line. Seems really odd. Then after placing a really basic order (two sandwiches and 12-pc nuggets), the food somehow took 10 minutes to come out. I am seriously going to be punished for writing anything bad about Chik-fil-A, but I need to share my experiences at this lcoation... Maybe I am just so used to chick-fil-a being so perfect all the time that when they're not, it's tragic this location is right by my house, so I go often. The service is as friendly as ever and typical of any chick-fil-a and the food is very good also! The problem is, they always seem to mess up my order or forget something. I let it pass the first two times, but the third time means I now have to say something. The first time I had an issue was due to them forgetting all of the sauces for three chicken nugget meals. That's a lot of sauce not put in the bag. I normally check to make sure I have everything, but I was in a hurry so I just asked the lady if she put the sauce in the bag. She replied that she did, so I drove off. Needless to say, she fibbed and there was no sauce. The second time, I ordered an unsweetened tea and it was sweet. I didn't realize this till I got home and didn't want to drive back. The third time was another sauce issue and a sandwich issue. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and Chick-fil-A sauce. I asked her again if the sauce was in the bag because I didn't see it on top. She said that there were two in the bottom. I should not have trusted her with the bad experience I had before, but I did. It's Chick-fil-A! They never usually make mistakes. Once again, I got home and my sandwich was friend and no sauce. I had to drive back. When I got there, I told the lady that I was disappointed because Chick-fil-A is better than this. She of course apologized and fixed it. It was still very sad to have had these experiences at the God of all fast food restaurants. It's piping hot when you get it, and the fries will be extra AMAZING!!! So go on-add some extra salt and ask them for the spicy catsup for dipping. I normally go to the chick fil a locations in Baton Rouge but stopped here for lunch today and ordered a Cobb salad with no cheese and an unsweetened tea. The employee taking my order outside asked if I wanted no "blue cheese" and I said the Cobb salad doesn't have blue cheese but yes, NO CHEESE. I had to repeat myself about three times to get her to understand that I wanted a Cobb salad, not the market salad. I was slightly worried that my order would get messed up however, I didn't want to pester her again(though I should've). I ordered medium fries and paid. I get up to the window, turns out she didn't put in the drink but I just brushed it off. I eat the fries on the way home and they're extremely salty and chewy. I open the salad and of course, there's cheese in it. The salad looked completely unappetizing because it was as if they'd shaken it up violently and handed it to me. Slices of boiled egg were scattered all over the salad and the cheese was moist and gooey like it'd been sitting out and sticking together in chunks at the bottom of the container. Every time we come here we are amazed by the service! We walked in and the line moved very quickly. I ordered, swiped my card, and then moved to the side and went to say something to my boyfriend but before I could they were handing me my food. It was less that 30 seconds after I paid! The manager was walking around the dining room making sure everything was clean and speaking to all of the guests. Everyone who was working was so friendly. When they say fast food they mean fast food! They have their drive thru down to a science. I am always amazed how quickly a double line wrapped around the building can move so quickly. I've never been asked to pull up and wait while they prepare my order. In fact if I have to fumble for change or my card they are waiting on me! And not once have I ever driven off to discover I did not have the correct order. I've even stolen their "my pleasure" response when someone tells me thank you! As far as their food selections go I love their salads and grilled chicken tenders. They also offer a fruit cup as a healthier alternative to fries. But it's hard to say no to their waffle fries. The kids grilled tenders with fruit make a perfect lunch when I'm on the go. My daughter is a fan so we do frequently visit this location for breakfast and lunch. They have delicious biscuits and their sausage is the best you will find at a fast food restaurant. And their lemonade always hits the spot on hot summer days. read more
